Good not great

Layout, perfect for a young family. Location, perfect local to the beach for the price. Washer didn't work correctly, dishwasher didn't work and beeped the whole time, and internet was spotty (glitch during tv). Like a previous person said, house needs tlc. Still gets 4 stars due to layout and location.

Really great place to stay. Perfect location for our needs. The floor is grey laminate. When our six year old grandchild went without shoes or barefoot the soles of her feet turned completely black. So the floor needs a good cleaning.

Great Place to stay close to the water

Had a great time on the island. Only complaint would be the back porch lights not working. Other then that it was great and very spacious

Great Home!

Home was very clean and extremely comfortable for my family of 5! Wifi was a little weak if you are trying to have video calls/conferences for work but worked appropriately for phone calls and etc....great experience!!!

The ultimate user friendly experience

The home is just as nice as the pictures and honestly it’s easier checking in/out here than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. They even have free parking passes you can use around the island. We will be returning.

Great way to visit Dauphin Island

While the property had most everything we needed, I recommend bringing clothing hangers, tin foil, a veggie peeler, tp, paper towel, laundry soap and basket style coffee filters. I purchased a large pack and left them, so there should be some for a while. Of course this advice is coming from someone who spent just over 2 weeks and planned on cooking most of our meals in. I mention clothing hangers because there was only one small dresser and 2 hangers in the place. I like to unpack when I am staying for an extended time. They do supply plenty of towels, a few laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap, a roll of paper towel and some tp. I had seen comments from others about the condition of the decks and they really do need replacement. There are nails popping everywhere and a lot of decking that should be replaced. Also, almost all the windows have compromised thermal seals so there is moisture between the panes of glass. Not ideal for gazing at the bay and ocean views. The neighborhood was quiet, it was a quick walk to the gulf beach and the walks along the bay side are nice as well. The property was clean, the living room was comfortable, the beds were comfy and the decor was cute. Overall, I would stay here again.

Vacasa Condo on the beach

Condo was awesome and planning to do this yearly!!! The only bad thing was that there was only enough propane on the grill for about 10 minutes-local stores carried it so it was really no big deal!!!

Location is great!

We always enjoy Dauphin Island. The walk was short to the bay side or gulf. Unfortunately structure wise the could have been better. Beds were very firm, rusty nails and screws all over the deck and ground, chipped dishes, enamel was flacking off pots and pans, back door doesn’t shut fully as the lock is rusted very bad, the beds had sand and hair clumps on the sheets.

Lovely stay

We had a great stay at the Malibu Beach House II. The house is well equipped with a full kitchen and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Its in a GREAT location-2 minute walk to the Gulf and an easy drive to restaurant and shops. I love that it is dog friendly so I could bring my dog with instead of arranging and paying for boarding for her. Highly recommend this house.

The interior of the house is great. The location is perfect. It was perfect for our family. It was a little odd that the kitchen had no sink stopper, or pitchers, but that is not a big deal. My only concern is the deck, stairs, and railings. These need to be replaced. They are dangerous! I would not recommend for children or older adults. Except for this I would say this house was great!

Great location, house needs some work

Great views and walking distance to both the bay and gulf. The property has a lot of what looks like damage from pets. It has cute decor, but the kitchen and bathrooms are dated. Cabinets felt sticky, knobs missing. There was hair on the toilet seat in master bath and in bed. Walls are a little gross. It just felt a little overall gross. I think with a few repairs and a deep clean it would be an amazing spot.

Fall break family vacation

The house smelled and felt freshly cleaned as soon as we walked in the door. The views and location are perfect, we did drive to the beach just because we had some much stuff but they do provide a parking pass and beach access is a short walk from the house. We cooked most of our own meals - dishes are provided but no seasonings, cooking oil, etc so pack accordingly. The outside of the house is weathered as one would expect but the deck is in kind of rough shape with some nails sticking up and the steps are warped so we made sure our kids wore shoes on it but otherwise was fine. We would definitely stay here again!

Great spot for a small family getaway

Overall the property was clean, beds were nice, and appliances in good working order. I would say that the general investment into the smaller items was lacking and that's why it's a 4 star stay for us. Things like a quality hose for washing off sand (hose at property was full of holes) or basic items like a salt and pepper shaker are things I've come to expect at other stays. I would say the stairs on either side need to be replaced. Overall would recommend!

Perfect

Perfect walking distance to both the gulf and the bay. Perfect views of both. Sunsets on the back porch were amazing. Outdoor shower to rinse off, hammock in the shade, and plenty of space to entertain ourselves outside. Impeccably clean and organized. Had everything we needed and more. Perfect spot for a wonderdul vacation.
