Excellent family accommodation
We loved staying at Shelagh’s place; communication was great, the lodge was well equipped and the location was perfect. It was a great place to stay with our two small children. Thank you :)
We loved every minute of our stay. It was comfortable, well equipped and quiet area for red squirrel spotting and star gazing. Nice forest walk so close by . Host was very well communicative and was on hand for any questions that I had. Thank you very much
We had a lovely stay at Puck's lodge. The cabin is very homey and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It is just a short walk to Puck's Glen, an amazing short walk along a beautiful burn. We also did a few days trips during our stay, to Otter Ferry, Tighnabruich and Campbeltown. All in in, it was a lovely vacation in a very enchanting party of Scotland!
We had an amazing stay at Pucks Lodge last week and cannot sing Bob and Sheilaghs prases enough. The lodge itself is just beautiful. In a stunning location right next to Pucks Glen which is a stunning walk. The lodge is very spacious and comfortable. We felt at home within a day of being there. We will most definitely be returning next year. The only down side is we did not book for long enough!!!
Shelagh and Bob were great hostess and very helpful from the beginning and we appreciated all the help provided. The lodge was cosy and very comfortable. The place was very clean and full equipped, specially the kitchen and lots of warm rugs for the nights!. The double bed was so good and we slept like rocks! Amazing walks and landscapes were we were. Specially Puck’s Glenn was absolutely fantastic and very near to us as we have small children they enjoyed the walks and water falls around the area. Thank you!. The lodge is very well located to go different places. We went to Stirling, Glasgow, Loch Eck and Firking Point.
lodge was well equipped and comfortable , lighting was somewhat dim , found shower curtain needed changed better with glass panel as curtain got sucked in with steam and an extractor fan in bathroom would be better than window,I found dust on top of headboard in double room.
Shelagh and Bob were really helpful in advance of the holiday, supplying information about the local area. I was also reassured that if COVID upset our plans it would be possible to postpone the trip,( as well as cancellation at pretty short notice)
The lodge is warm and spacious, with extras that I didn't expect like heated towel rain and tumble drier. The bedrooms were very comfortable and there was lots of light with the big windows. There is a well equipped kitchen and good shower over the bath.
The site is very quiet with lots of walks on the doorstep.
Inveraray and the Isle of Bute are easy day trips
Just a shame the squirrels didn't decide to drop in !!
The property is in a quiet location, very peaceful, very spacious, very clean, The owners are fabulous, would recommend this property highly, dog friendly too !
From the booking , the fantastic App that’s been created our holiday was perfect. A true home from home. Bob was so helpful when I had a query.
Will definitely be back .
The lodge is perfectly situated in woodland and the lodges are spaced well apart. The lodge was excellent with a very large living room and spacious dining kitchen in addition to 3 spacious bedrooms. The huge widows give great views out. A resident heron, loads of red squirrels and deer in the morning made for a pleasant distraction. Loch Eck and the botanical gardens are right on the doorstep and you are within short driving distance from loads of good walking. This lodge would be great for families, couples or groups and was very dog friendly by the look of it.

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
The lovation was lovely but very limited things to do, we drove around alot trying to find days out
The property is lovely decorated and homely feel, beds were really comfy but the cleanliness was very poor, we appreciate it is dog friendly but to be covered in other dogs hair isn't great, when we didn't bring a dog. Also check tea pots when cleaning too. I am not sure where the smell comes from but maybe the carpets could do with a deep clean.
Sorry for the negative comments i hate to be negative but felt I had to say something.
We had a lively few days away hiking, cycling and taking the dogs for a stroll around the beautiful pucks Glen. The hosts of the property were wonderful and accomodating with helpful tips. Would definitely stay again! Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely property

Lovely location and perfect for what we were looking for. Cabin had everything we needed for a short break and the walk to waterfall on our doorstep was amazing.
Would recommend staying here, a little home from home but with the most incredible scenery and walking. Just be careful of using to much electric as it soon adds up!
plucks lodge is very clean and tidy, it is set on the edge of the forest where the walks are well managed with beautiful scenery and stunning water falls. we are looking forward to our next visit
