## Emplacement
Biarritz is located in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques, in the southwest of France. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, the town has 4 kilometres of coastline in the hollow of the Bay of Biscay, less than 25 kilometres from the border with Spain.
The town is known for its waves and surf spots, which attract many surfers every year, both beginners and advanced.
