Enjoy stunning views of the Rock River from this spacious loft sitting atop a historic brick Italianate-style building erected in 1865. Located in the heart of downtown Janesville, there are endless locally-owned shops and restaurants within walking distance- including Genisa Wine Bar, an Italian-inspired bar and restaurant just downstairs on the first floor (with free delivery!) Although the building is more than 150 years old, it's filled with modern luxuries. All bathroom fixtures are the latest available from Kohler, including a smart toilet and a high-pressure rainfall showerhead. All appliances are from Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove, including a 24-bottle wine chiller. The living room and both bedrooms feature large smart TVs, and the entire space is filled with contemporary decor. Please note this property is not handicap accessible. The loft is beautiful and in a perfect location! We were in town for a family wedding and the loft made a special weekend even more special! The master bath is amazing and will be the reason for a bathroom remodel at home!

We were in town for my mother’s funeral and staying here made it so much more comfortable and relaxing than the hotel options. The loft is beautiful and everything is high quality, clean, and comfortable. The location is great with options for food, coffee, and drinks. It was quiet most evenings but picked up a bit on Thursday night. The building is very soundproof so it worked. The only negative were the ceiling fans were not working. Thank you for creating this fun and beautiful space in Janesville - it is needed!

Great experience at the loft. Extremely well remodeled... my son was captivated by the "robot toilet". We also enjoyed the proximity to the farmers market nearby on Saturday. Finally, the staff is great, they organized a wonderful dinner for a group of almost 20 at the last minute at the restaurant. We will be staying there again!

Beautiful apartment, great location

My kids and I stayed here over Memorial Day and it was a great experience. Very clean and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy and the main bathroom was a big hit with the smart toilet and multiple head shower. My only complaint was the noise from the restaurant patios on the block was quite loud! Otherwise, we loved the place.

Birthday Celebration

The property is exactly as pictured, but even better in person. The furniture, kitchen supplies, bath towels everything is top-notch. The bathrooms are gorgeous and the master bedroom overlooks the river which is very appealing. I would highly recommend this loft to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in Janesville.

Best Place in Town!

We were pleased to see that the apartment was even better than the photos. Nice to be able to walk in and feel right at home. Josh was very helpful and made sure we had enough towels for our stay. It was great to see the other reviews which made us aware of the stairs we had to climb and the noise factor. Neither should be a deterrent. Excellent location for finding great restaurants. Only downside for us, we had to leave early and list two days of our rental.

Beautiful loft, great downtown vibe!

We stayed two nights travelling to the Wisconsin-Alabama game. The loft was so nice I didn't want to go home. Out the front in Janesville's main street with restaurants, including a very good Italian restaurant and wine bar on the bottom floor. Out back is a wonderful river! both nights we sat on the restaurant's terrace overlooking the river for a nightcap. I can't say enough about how beautiful the space is, and how nice all the folks in the restaurant below were. Should be ever come back this way again, the loft is the first place we will look for. You will not be disappointed!

It's the Cherry on Top of Genisa Wine Bar

True to its description this little gem is worth the price. The property was as advertised and matches up with photos online. Three girlfriends off to the Elkhorn Flea Market had a great evening having dinner "right downstairs" and heading up to chat in our cozies. There was a private party taking place right below our room and, yes, you could hear muffled voices and music but truly not annoyingly so. The bar and restaurant below got quieter around 11:30. Not a big deal just background muffled sounds. We would stay again. Coffee pot with Keurig pots provided, lovely beds linens and comfy furniture. Great location with river walk right nearby and a super Saturday Farmer's market. Get your creamer before hand so you can have your morning coffee and head out. Several antique markets in town and a great food cooperative, Basics on Lodge Drive.

Stunning Loft in the heart of Janesville

This property is absolutely stunning. Candidly the pictures do not come close to doing it justice. It is spacious, light filled and stunningly outfitted. The kitchen is a chefs dream and the bathrooms are beautiful. The master shower is a marvel with 3 different shower heads! The management team was incredibly responsive and helpful. We were missing a couple of supplies upon check in and they showed up at our door within an hour! Erin and Joshua could but have been more pleasant or helpful. I would share that the Loft is situated on the third floor of a beautiful historic building that houses the owners wine bar and restaurant. Hence stairs are involved. Being summer the noise from the patio below was a factor. It certainly would not deter us from coming back , but it was a surprise. Overall, the perfection of the property more than compensates for this slight issue.

Wedding stay at the Genisa

My wife and I rented the space for the long weekemd of our wedding. We had a wonderful stay and had little to complain about. The kitchen and living room was very useful as a homebase for wedding planning, the rooms where cozy, and with no other apartment in any direction the privacy is wonderful. When we had friends and family stop by they had nothing but praise for the look and feel of the space. I can only think of two minor complaints from our stay. The first was there was a bottle of wine with two cups hanging off of it soon after you enter along with two bottle of sparkling water in the fridge. I asked and the water is complimentary but the wine is onyl a display piece. A little confusing and i can see someone opening the wine thinking it was a gift. Second has to do with the sound system that is in ceilings. They are controlled though an app but there is no directions to connect to them. I asked and received the info for the app but still wasn't able to connect, but by that point we where to busy to look into it more. Having directions on the information sheet would be a nice addition. These two complaints are minor in comparison to the postives of our stay. I would suggest staying here for your wedding and if you have another couple in the second bedroom the cost per night is a bit higher than a hotel with tons of benefits.

Disappointing Given that Genisa is a Jewel!

We love Genisa; however a number of things were below standard. The most critical is that owners need to be TRANSPARENT in their description that there is no elevator and three flights of stairs to walk up; also, be clear about parking since there is no designated spot. There were no working electrical outlets or TV working in the King bedroom. There was also no coffee provided. Lastly, given that this is an extension of Genisa, instead of having in writing in a number of different places to not touch the wine bottles, I would highly recommend that you offer a bottle of wine to your guests; they can choose before they check in. Josh was incredibly helpful and responsive; the server working in Genisa who walked up and down those flights to bring us our wine/food, was also incredibly gracious. Because we love Genisa as we do; I call it the "Jewel of Janesville", it is my hope that the owner/manager brings the standards up to where they belong when one calls this a "luxury" apartment.
