About this property

Country living in the city, quiet and private!

Looking for a private, quiet stay-cation? Our house will fill the bill for you! The fruit and nut trees are all very large and mature providing a country feel to this house. It is behind a private fenced area with large yard. Interior kitchen with gas cooktop and electric ovens (2), complete chefs kitchen supplies, open floor plan. There is a complete outdoor kitchen with grill, dishwasher, sink, and large seating areas. It’s quiet and peaceful.

There’s a large office/bedroom suitable for a workstation complete with monitor and desk chair. This room has a queen bed and portable twin cot and private entrance off the deck.

Dish TV available in all bedrooms and living room, Prime, Netflix, etc. available with your own account (WIFI connected). Large private deck off the master bedroom and in front of. Bedroom 2. It is a 2 story with interior and exterior stair access.

There are 3 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a King, and the office/bedroom has a queen and portable twin cot. The queen bed mattress in the guest bedroom is a brand new Purple mattress, one of the best on the market! The king is just as comfortable, and has always had a mattress protector on it. There is another queen bed in the office and a cot, for total sleeping for 7.

For everyone's safety, we have a ring doorbell at the front door and in the outdoor kitchen. The booking individual must be 25 years minimum AND be part of the guests staying. The booking party will be fully responsible for all guests involved.

We came down for a festival. I found this place and it was exactly what we needed. Barbara made the check in process super easy. She was very accommodating in allowing us to check in early. Overall we enjoyed the place. Excellent communication. The Vrbo web site did not allow me to share the location with other guests and it always said" Pending" even after checking in still show the same! The mattress and pillows on the master was kind of old.

Great home away from home!

Beautiful home and it is well taken care of! The home is spacious and open. Lots of amenities. the 3rd bedroom is really an office and only works for a kid as the bed is very small. has a great outdoor kitchen and private yard. The inside is immaculate, the outside grounds could use a little work. all in all a great stay and would stay there again for sure!

Birthday Celebration

Our granddaughter lives in Antelope and was celebrating her 28th birthday. We visit as often as we can and this time she requested a small gathering of family and friends with a BBQ. We searched several properties looking for the perfect location to entertain and finally came across this Gem of a place. The outdoor kitchen area was perfect as well as the interior of the house for entertaining guests. Our host, Barb was truly pleasant and appreciatively accommodating. the most impressive part is how well stocked the house is with kitchen supplies as well as comfort for just lounging. a must recommendation!

FANTASTIC

We are so glad we reserved this house! From the moment we walked inside we knew we will enjoy our stay. The house was immaculate with an overfilled kitchen(yes...overfilled as in lots of everything you will need including various spices). The living room was cozy with a wonderful TV and a very comfortable couch. Go upstairs and the bed was comfortable. The shower was spacious. There's an office if anyone needs to do some work. I can go on and on, but in short, RENT THIS HOUSE!!

Fabulous House

My son, daughter, granddaughter and I stayed here during the CIM, watching my other granddaughter run her first Marathon. The house worked perfectly for our needs. It was very well appointed. "If they didn't have it, you didn't need it!" I have stayed at dozens of VRBO properties over the years, and this property was the most well equipped of all of them! The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Barb was very thorough with her check-in and check-out directions, and answered any and all questions very quickly. If we come back we will definitely try to stay there again!

A fantastic stay!!

This home and the location were perfect for our needs. We wanted to hold a small family gathering and open house for a few friends for my father's 99th birthday celebration. From the start of our conversation with the hosts to the last click of the door as we left, it was a great experience. The home is spotless, extremely well-equipped, accessible for the wheelchair, spacious, lovely outdoor space, functional spaces and delightfully decorated. The location was perfect within Citrus Heights (could easily get to those places we needed to go for party prep, etc) and it's very close to my Father's adult care home. Our host was extraordinary. Very communicative, practical, accommodating and simply delightful. I would have loved to stay at least another week (mostly to recover from all the hub bub!) We could not be more pleased with our experience and profusely thank Barbara for being such a great human and wonderful host!

We had a death in our family, and this home was perfect to allow for out of town family. Very spacious, and clean. The property was amazing, just like the owners. Perfect location and all the comfort of home

We came into town for a curling event at the skate town ice arena. The property is located only minutes away. It also is very conveniently located to many nice areas. Great breweries, great wineries. We went to Shenandoah wine region. Some great restaurants and we also cooked several meals at the house. The house is beautifully remodeled, top notch kitchen that is fully equipped. Outside kitchen area is awesome unfortunately it was 115 degrees when we were in town so sitting outside was not really an option. They also have an office space, which at first we didn’t think we would use however 2 of us needed to work so it was an awesome quiet set up. The host, Barbara was so responsive and extremely accommodating with our check in. The process was very easy. Thanks for a great venue. If we come back to the area we would definitely stay again and absolutely recommend the house.

Loved the house and property, unique to us in its own way. We loved everything about it and the layout. Plenty of space and outdoor space/kitchen is amazing. Communication with owner was always in a very timely manner, they are very sweet, and every question was answered. Very clean and kept up. Perfect location too by the way for us. We were able to take a day trip to San Francisco, also go to Jelly Belly Factory, and take a day trip to Lake Tahoe!

Very comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood.

The house had EVERYTHING anyone could think of to use and enjoy. Very tastefully decorated. Quiet. Great kitchen X 2 even! Super organized. Hosts were very nice and I could tell they worked very hard to make the directions to everything clear. Would love to move in tomorrow!

We came to Citrus Heights and started our construction business 12 years ago, creating a successful business specializing in fire and water repairs. Construction has been in our blood for 35 years, and we have built many homes over the years.

When we purchased this beautiful piece of property, we knew that the peaceful atmosphere in the middle of the city was perfect for us. This house was designed, built, and decorated by us. While we love our home, we decided after retiring from our business that we would travel the country in our RV. However, this is still a home that we plan on coming back to eventually, so please treat this as you would your own home!

Sit on the decks, enjoy the outdoor kitchen, and appreciate the roosters crowing. Once the trees leaf out, it will be even more private, and since it is very shaded in the summer the cool breezes allow for enjoyable outdoor living!

Why they chose this property

While this property is situated in a suburb of Sacramento, and we are very close to I80, it is very quiet and private. There are many hospitals within short distances for traveling medical professionals, wineries either north, south and east of us, casinos, skiing or water sports in Lake Tahoe (99 miles) or Folsom Dam, many shopping experiences at either malls or quaint small towns in the area, and wonderful restaurants. We have spent many hours traveling to many special sites in the area. If you would like any recommendations, please contact us and we will be happy to share our experiences! We have always been explorers, whether it is hiking or off roading in our jeep, taking scenic drives, or checking out natural features.

What makes this property unique

Our home offers a great deal of privacy and seclusion with a great gourmet kitchen and large outdoor living area.

The office/bedroom has a private entrance. This room has a small desk with monitor, and twin portable bed if needed.

Sit on the deck(s), enjoy the outdoor kitchen, appreciate the hummingbirds, and listen to the roosters crow.
