Clean and located right downtown. This is an upper flat. Lots of room and well equipped. Internet was slow and sometimes glitchy.

The host was generous with an early check in and late checkout. There was ample space for our large group, and the suite was well stocked with towels, bedding, plates, etc. We were traveling with small children and, while the property overall (bathrooms, kitchen) was clean, the floors were not. (Kids’ bare feet—and adults’ socks—were dirty within a few minutes of walking around. There is no A/C in the unit. It’s helpful that each bedroom has a ceiling fan, and that the windows open. However, the windows in some rooms are missing screens, and you need to choose between fresh air/ trying to cool the room vs. bugs getting in. The property, as noted, is on Main Street. It’s also on a main highway and at the corner with a traffic light. The older windows—even if closed—won’t keep out traffic noise. (Just a heads up if you’re a light sleeper.)The host was wonderfully responsive, and plenty of sleeping space, clean kitchen and bathrooms were a great option vs staying as a group in a hotel.

FAMILY VACATION

It was very nice to be able to come in after and between events, kick the shoes off, grab a drink and a snack and have true family time. Made the vacation a really nice experience

Great property!

We stayed here for a wedding. It was the ideal place for the groomsmen to gather, since it was in between the church and the event center. The two living rooms gave us plenty of space to sit and hangout.

Great for a big family

It’s nothing fancy, but it was clean and spacious and perfect for our big family. Plenty of space and plenty of beds and close to everything. My only complaint was the loud cars accelerating at the stop light. It was prom weekend so that may have been the reason for the extra traffic and loud mufflers.

New Ulm Gnomemade Market weekend

We had a group of 11, long time friends & a few of our daughters along. Saturday was spent in New Ulm. But, Friday evening we walked to the Pix and ate from the food truck & had a drink, then played cards into the night.. some went to bed earlier, but the space worked great to do what worked! Sunday morning we had coffee and breakfast and took our time before everyone left for home. We were from SD, IA and Northern MN so location was great! Enjoyed the space, hope to come back with my husband and stay on the other side!!

Nice property and fit our family well. They have some cool Sleepy Eye artifacts in the apartment as well as family art and literature. We will likely stay again!

Family friendly find!!

We stayed at this property for a wedding and truly enjoyed our stay. Roomy, 4 bedrooms to fit our family of 8. Great living room area that was comfortable for TV, games, and relaxing. So much more comfortable than hotel rooms. Clean, nostalgic, well stocked for kitchen needs. Note: Must be able to climb stairs to second floor, but well worth the climb. Thanks!!

Absolutely loved!

From the moment we walked in, we were in awe. The pictures do not do it justice. Absolutely loved the place. It is so nice and spacious. Perfect for larger groups. The decor makes it feel comfortable and at home. Great location. Being pretty big coffee drinkers, the amount of coffee available was a nice touch. The disposable plates and plasticware available was an added bonus. This place is super clean and great people to work with. We could not have asked for a better space for the family to get together. We would def come back and will recommend to others.

Matt and his family live in Courtland Matt is active in several different organizations and clubs throughout the New Ulm area. He’s also the auctioneer of choice at many benefit auctions that he does each year. He also is a drummer in the “Mages Family Band”, playing at area churches and benefits. Matt has a farm background, having grown up on the farm and has good knowledge of farms and machinery. Other skills include carpentry and home renovations, computer graphics and business organization.

Newly remodeled turn of the century building! This space is on the second level, only accessible by stairs. Sleeps up to 15 people.

Bedroom 1: 3 single beds.
Bedroom 2: 1 queen bed and a single bed.
Bedroom 3: 2 queen beds.
Bedroom 4: 2 queen and a single bed. Breakfast nook with coffee maker and mini-fridge.

Bathroom with updated shower with waterfall and handheld shower head, 2nd Bathroom with full tub

Full kitchen with gas range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, stocked with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, spices.

Dining room with serving window to kitchen.

Living room with sectional sofa, chairs, desk and smart tv (feel free to log in using your credentials, log out when finished).

Movie room with sectional sofa, board games, cards and smart tv (feel free to log in using your credentials, log out when finished).

Sleepy Eye memorabilia, artwork from local artist Monica Mages, lovely décor, exposed brick, new flooring and ceiling fans throughout.

Other things to note: Please read the House Rules, Health & Safety and Cancelation Policies before booking. Contact us for monthly discounts. This unit is on the second floor and is only accessible by stairs.

Families with babies and toddlers are welcome, but there is no crib. The apartment is not baby-proof and is on the second floor.
