Olde Towne Slidell vacation rentals

Once again, the condo was everything we hoped it would be. This was our second time staying at this property and we were, as before, very happy with our visit. The condo is located in a nice neighborhood and is right on the bayou. The condo is tastefully decorated, very clean and well furnished. There is plenty of storage room and the washer and dryer is a huge plus. Most importantly, any and all concerns or issues we may have had were promptly addressed by the owner, Cynthia. She is very assessable and friendly, a pleasure to talk with. We were very comfortable and would highly recommend this property.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. It exceeded our expectations. It had all the comforts of home with a living area, kitchen, washer and dryer, bed and bath, but what we loved was sitting by the bayou relaxing with a cocktail and fishing. Paulo has a huge yard with a sitting area next to the dock. It's very quiet and relaxing. Mark here (husband), We had a blast here. From Paulo's place it is an easy drive to Nola. We also made day trips to Mobile, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Biloxi. We always planned to get back to the lighthouse by 5:00PM so we could take our wine out to the dock and do a little fishing. Paulo has fishing gear there for you to use. You can catch catfish all day long but don't be surprised if you get some of the other critters in the bayou. My wife hooked a 4' gar that gave her quite a fight. No, we did not land it but we got some great video of the fight before to line snapped. I never thought I would hear my wife say "we need to go to the bait story tomorrow". There are also Canoes at the lighthouse that you can use along with lift jackets. Hurricane Nate hit while we were there. Paulo came by to make sure everything was ship shape ahead of time. What a great guy. We were due to leave the next day to drive to Memphis but he told us to stay an extra day or two if we didn't feel comfortable driving the next day. Good old southern hospitality can't be beat. We did leave the next day. There water in the bayou came up about a foot and the wind and rain were pretty heavy at times but there were no problems other than I could not fish that evening. We are going to be back. This place is fantastic, quiet, comfortable, secure, and so very relaxing. Thank you Paulo for a wonderful memory. PS; The Honey island swamp tour is a must. We enjoyed our stay. The Bayou is right outside the back door. It was nice and quiet. Owner was great about communication. If I am ever staying in Slidell again I would stay here again.
