Just outside the charming village of Three Oaks, this elegant family retreat offers a quiet escape with easy access to Lake Michigan attractions. Newly remodeled and refurnished, this three-bedroom/two-bath boasts multiple living areas and modern amenities including free WiFi, central AC, and a private washer/dryer. Sip coffee or just while the days away in the front porch rockers and for lunch, fire up the private gas grill for a family barbecue on the back deck. The firepit is perfect for happy hour and and evening S'mores. Whether its to start off your day or to cap it off, there's never a bad time for a relaxing soak in the private hot tub.

The bright, updated interior is tastefully appointed with contemporary fixtures and appliances with strong natural lighting featured throughout. The main floor living room equipped with a large, flatscreen smart TV opens to an airy dining area with seating for six and beautiful bay windows offering pastoral views of the surrounding farmland. The kitchen is well-equipped for family cooking with updated, stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher for easy cleanup. Specialty items including a pizza stone and a full suite of utensils make the culinary options virtually endless! Two bedrooms share a full bathroom on this floor.

Downstairs, a semi-finished basement features a second living area with a sofas, loungers, and table seating. Choose from one of the classic board games and host a family game night!

The upstairs primary suite offers multiple sleeping options with a king and two double beds and an en suite bathroom with a luxurious jetted tub and separate shower. A sunny desk/workspace is perfect for quiet work or study.

We’ve stayed in this house twice. It works well for two families with kids. It’s clean, has everything you need from towels to dishwasher and laundry pods, to kitchen stuff. Four stars just because in some places the house is a little tired and could probably use a refresh but that would not stop me from staying again.

Outstanding home in one of the most beautiful locations we have ever visited

- really good backyard - nice and close to quaint town and easy drive to New Buffalo and Warren Dunes state park - very comfortable sleeping and hanging out arrangement with great furniture - love the hot tub - scenery being next door to a farm was a nice bonus and being 1 mile from the Journeyman distillery was such a plus. Three Oaks is awesome and we look forward to coming back in the fall to se the foliage and visit wineries. A very well maintained home. These owners created a memorable experience for our first time to Lake Michigan and we were sad to leave. The home is beautiful and worth the price. We found the drive to the beach super easy and next time will be sure to visit Froehlichs for breakfast.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that we had some challenges with the air conditioning but it was fixed within 24 hours. The house is great and was very comfortable for the 8 of us. Very clean and had everything we needed. The location is great. It is easy access to many places and out of the craziness of New Buffalo.! The town of 3 Oaks is minutes away and we really enjoyed it. You are truly in the countryside at the house. Big back yard could and play lots of games out there! The road in the front is busy but we still enjoyed the front porch swing ! when we arrived which took a lot of texting back and forth until around 4 the day after we arrived to get the air conditioning fixed. Lucky there were some fans in the house. . Luckily it was dirty filters so an easy fix. I would just suggest you check those more often and save yourself the headache. Lots of beach towels which was great. We were only given one bath towel per person because they said we had a washing machine and could wash them. It would have been nice to have a few extras. we ended up using beach towels for bath towels which worked fine. Used the grill and it was great too. We would definitely use your house again. ! Thanks !

Three Oaks Farmhouse

We had 2 things about this listing whick made us pick it, a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Being a large group, those were very important. After cheking in, we realized the washer didn't work. That was Sunday when I called the number given for problems and had to leave an electronic message about the issue. On Tuesday, I still hadn't heard anything so I left another message which was responded to. It only asked me to be patient. I don't know how long I was expected to be patient but I NEVER received another message and the problem was not fixed. So two very important wants eere not fulfilled! I did call back on Wednesday and was told the messages go through an answering service who then relays the problems to a "local" office. This local office sucks! It left us feeling like they didn't care about our problems, after all, they already had our money. I don't know if I'll use VRBO again.

Cute house but cold

Not the best experience. The first day and 1/2 we stayed in a house with indoor temperature of 53 shivering. We contacted the customer service line to request someone to come out and take a look at the heater and after returning from leaving the house for all morning to find out that the service technician that came out changed the battery in the thermostat and didn’t even check the heater in the basement. We shivered for another few hours to have a heater technician come out to tell us that things were not turning on with heater because something went wrong with exhaust part of the heater and the motor was overheating… it was a nice cute house but the cleaning level was ok… we asked for a type of compensation for such a terrible experience and all of us having to stay in jacket and layers and they said that they are looking into it but never returned response to that request. It’s a third party property management you are in contact with and having to 1800 number; it wasn’t the best customer service experience all together..
