Holiday apartment above the beautiful Peroulia beach, wifi | Messenia, Peloponne

The neat property Marema is surrounded by olive groves and located above the fine sandy beach of Peroulia in a nice hillside location. The 3 holiday apartments are next to each other with a separate entrance each. The basement flats below the apartments are used by the landlord family. The estate Marema is surrounded by a beautiful enclosed garden property cultivated with banana plants, citrus trees and plenty of Mediterranean plants and flowers. The lawn in the front garden is for the shared use of all guests.

The corner apartment Marema 3 dates back to 1975 and was renovated in 2024 and equipped with new furniture. The 2 bedrooms and the bath are adjoining to the separate kitchen. From one bedroom you have direct access to the front roofed balcony where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Messenian Bay up to the opposite coast and the Taygetos Mountains. At the entrance area of the apartment there is a roofed terrace with some seating.

In a separate part of the house there is a washing machine provided for the shared use of all guests.

A small paved way leads 200mtr down the slope to the fine sandy beach of Peroulia.

The close-by picturesque village Koroni with its port scenery, taverns and cafés make a nice change from the quiet and secluded area around Peroulia. Especially charming are also the towns of Pylos and Methoni on the western side of Messenia. There are also many untouched beaches on the coastline between Koroni and Pylos.

So Maria was very communicative and always responsive to all needed! Was extra happy when we moved room due to a technical issue which was more spacious and really enjoyed our time there! We will be going back very soon. The easy access to the exceptional beach is just what we needed for a quiet family getaway.

Diese Bewertung entspricht unserer Bewertung von Marema 2, da wir beide Wohnungen zeitweise parallel bewohnt haben. Wir waren mit zwei kleinen Kindern in Marema 3 und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht vom Balkon ist atemberaubend, der Strand ist sehr gut zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen (steil, für gehbehinderte Menschen aber auch mit dem Auto möglich, man findet zumindest im Juni immer einen Parkplatz unten am Strand). Die neuen Fliegengitter in den Schlafzimmern sind super und auch die Matratzen sehr bequem, Klimaanlage und Ventilator funktionieren gut. Draußen sitzen ist in den späten Abendstunden wie immer natürlich mit Moskitos verbunden, hier muss man sich selbst um Mückenschutz kümmern, so ist das halt im Süden. Drinnen gibt es aufgrund des Platzes keine bequeme Sitzgelegenheit, das bekommt man einfach auf 40m2 nicht unter. Auf der Rückseite dieser Wohnung gibt es noch einen größeren Sitzplatz (als den von Marema 2), sodass man bei jeder Tageszeit einigermaßen im Schatten sitzen kann. Eine Außendusche ist ebenfalls vorhanden, damit der ganze Sand nicht in der Wohnung landet (sehr hilfreich). Natürlich ist es mittags einfach teilweise sehr warm, sodass wir manchmal dann doch uns 1-2h drinnen aufgehalten haben. Links liegt nochmals eine Ferienwohnung (Marema 2), von der man teilweise akustisch auch etwas mitbekommt, das lässt sich nicht vermeiden. Die Kochgelegenheit ist eher klein, man sollte keine mehrgängigen Menüs kochen wollen, aber Nudeln mit Soße sind natürlich drin :) Insgesamt ist es sehr ruhig in der Umgebung und am Strand kann man seinen Sonnenschirm/Stühle und sogar Sandelsachen etc. über Nacht einfach stehen lassen, das machen dort alle so. Natürlichen Schatten gibt es eher wenig. Das Wasser ist wunderschön, mehr muss man dazu nicht sagen! Es gibt ein etwas schickeres Restaurant zu Fuß in 10 Minuten zu erreichen mit Liegen, die man pro Tag auch buchen kann. Dort lässt es sich auch sehr gut aushalten oder abends speisen. Ist auch kinderfreundlich trotz des eher gehobenen Anspruches. Mit dem Mietwagen vom Kalamata Flughafen haben wir 40 Minuten gebraucht, das nächste nette Städtchen Koroni ist in 15 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen (Uferpromenade, Burg, Kloster, Strand, kleine Souvenirläden, viele Restaurants). Maria, die Gastgeberin wohnt unter den Ferienwohnungen und ist klasse! Wie schon beschrieben bekommt man offensichtlich immer bei Anreise und wir auch nochmals zwischendurch eine von ihr gekochte Mahlzeit (Moussaka bei uns) und auch sonst kümmert sie sich um jedes kleine Problemchen und klärt Fragen. Auch ihr gut gelaunter Mann ist immer hilfsbereit.

die Wohnung hat eine super Lage, ist wunderbar ruhig. Leider gibt es dort Mücken, mit entsprechenden Mitteln kann man es in den Griff kriegen. Die Balkontür ist von aussen nicht zu schliessen, d.h., abends kommen dort die Mücken rein. Ein Griff sollte aussen angebracht werden. Die Betten sind sehr gut, das Becken im Badezimmer zu klein, leider gibt es keine Abstellregale, weder im Bad noch in der Küche.

Le logement est situé à proximité d'une plage magnifique et de beaux lieux de visite et de découvertes à au plus une heure de route. Les paysages alentours sont splendides. Le jardin de la propriétaire est très verdoyant cela emmène une quiétude et un dépaysement au lieu. L'accès à une terrasse aménagée et un balcon est très appréciable. Cependant, nous y étions pendant la canicule et il manquait une pièce où nous pouvions nous installer en famille au frais. En effet, le coin cuisine est minuscule et ne permet pas d'y manger. Cela sert pour de la cuisine rapide. La chambre avec deux lits individuels a un mur attenant a un autre logement locatif. L'isolation phonique est minime et on entend beaucoup les voisins. La propriétaire est très agréable. Par contre, lorsque nous échangeons via le site Airbnb nous sommes en lien avec un professionnel gérant la location. Il a pu répondre à mes questions mais pas de manière cordiale comme c'est presque toujours le cas avec les particuliers.

Wir verbrachten 9 Nächte in dieser wunderbaren Unterkunft. Maria, die Gastgeberin, ist so unglaublich nett und herzlich. Sie hat für uns bei der Ankunft gekocht, Getränke, Oliven und Gemüse aus dem Garten vorbereitet. Sie stand immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, war immer um uns bemüht und wir haben es sehr genossen mit ihr zu tratschen. Maria wohnt im unteren Stock, was wir sehr angenehm und familiär empfanden. Es gibt 3 Ferienwohnungen im oberen Stock. Da wir die einzigen Gäste waren, konnten wir alles alleine nutzen. Es gibt eine große Terrasse rückwertig mit Beschattung und Blick in die Berge und aufs Meer, Außendusche, Parkplätze und 2 unglaublich süße Katzen, die sich gleich bei uns wohl gefühlt haben. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr ruhig gelegen, weit ab von der Hauptstraße, ist sehr gemütlich, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Sie hat 2 Schlafräume, eine kleine gut ausgestattete Küche und eine Terrasse mit Blick aufs Meer und hinüber bis zum mittleren Finger des Peloponnes. Der Strand ist in Fußnähe, ein Stück bergab. Ein schöner, schmaler Sandstrand, fast schon privat. Viele Einheimische lassen ihre Liegen, Sonnensegel und Schirme die ganze Saison einfach Vorort. Ein Stück entfernt gibt es ein paar Liegen und Schirme von 3 Tavernen, die kostenlos gegen Konsumation eines Getränkes sind. Wir haben es sehr genossen und uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank für alles, liebe Maria.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cet appartement. La literie est très confortable, l’appartement était parfaitement propre. À moins de 5 min à pieds de la plage où l’eau est très bonne. La vue depuis la terrasse et le balcon est superbe. L’eau n’est pas potable comme dans de nombreuses maisons de campagne en Grèce. L’appartement n’est pas bien grand mais dans la mesure où nous avons passé la plupart de notre temps à l’extérieur ce n’est pas gênant. Pour les personnes qui aiment les prestations simples et la beauté des paysages.

A beautiful place with a great view ! We really enjoyed the warm welcoming from Maria the owner ! The bedding is comfortable and home clean. The space is not big, small kitchen, etc but as you can stay out a huge part of the day, it is not a problem. Be careful though with babies, water is not potable but it is the case in most houses far from big cities. The beach is 5 min walks or less, and sea is warm. Beautiful place ! Koroni city is very nice and we enjoyed going to some places near.

We enjoyed spending 3 days in Peroulia. The accommodation is comfortable, perfectly clean and offers a wonderful sea view with mountains in the background. Maria was a lovely and welcoming hostess. She even prepared stuffed vegetables for our arrival. What a nice attention! The sand beach was only 300 m away with many turtle nests. The close by restaurant is good and the supermarket is 1,5 km away. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Loved our stay and this beautiful apartment . It is in a lovely location, just 2 mins from the beach with great views, the outside space is wonderful (balcony and vine covered terrace) and the apartment itself simple but quaint. The air-con is a bit noisy, but then they always are :)
