The Potters Cottage was a beautiful and peaceful place and was so relaxing after a couple of days of exploring Lafayette and the surrounding areas. Suzi was such a kind and welcoming host and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely want to stay there again on another visit to the area.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this little cottage. We wished we would’ve booked a longer stay because we didn’t want to leave! Hostess was very friendly and accommodating, house was clean, comfortable and just as pictured. We will definitely be back!
My Potter's Cottage was perfect for my first visit toLafayette and it's fabulous International Music Festival. It's been on my bucket list for years and my weekend stay was the icing on the top. Beautiful touches, amazing landscape, and a thoughtfully equipped home was perfect for any visitor. Great communication withowner, Suzi, took away any anxiety about my first visitto the area. Sitting under the amazing Louisiana trees near my patio was worth the trip alone!!worth the trip alone.
This is out from the city a short ways and in a peaceful location. The house is everything you could ask for and Suzi and an excellent host. We have stayed here several times and it never disappoints.
This lovely rental is exactly as described. The place was very clean and well appointed. Quick and easy access to local attractions. We would definitely stay again.
We fell in love with the place the moment we drove into the driveway. Our host has immaculate, taste in decor And everything was first rate. Every detail was just perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer.
The Cottage was charming, comfortable, beautiful inside and out. We loved drinking our coffee on the deck under the huge live oak dripping with Ressurection Fern. The grounds were beautifully landscaped.
The talented potter, Suzy was the perfect host, so welcoming and attending to every detail.
Hope to return.
Reviewing the pictures I wondered if the place could be so nice. Once I arrived I soon realized the pictures did not do the place justice!
I will always choose this place when in the area!
Thanks!!
We booked this property for a quick weekend getaway for our birthdays. It was perfect! It’s so charming and cozy! Suzi has thought of everything. We will be back!
My husband and I enjoyed our peaceful stay at the Potters Cottage for our Anniversary getaway. I love Suzi’s sense of style and we had everything we needed. She was so friendly and thoughtful. We even left with some yummy honey! We will definitely stay at the cottage again. Thank you, Suzi!❤️
We stayed at Suzi’s cottage for 5 nights. It truly was the best place we’ve ever stayed. Suzi was a very friendly, and attentive hostess. The cottage reflects Suzi’s artistic talents. It is very tastefully decorated with artwork, and some of her wonderful handmade pottery. The cottage was immaculate, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely come back for another visit. We saw Suzi’s pottery studio and bought some great pieces to take home! All in all, a wonderful experience.
What a gem! It’s like staying in an art studio turn luxury hotel. The pottery all around is wonderful, as is the art and decor. The bed is super comfortable and the robes are a cozy touch. All amenities you could need, get no clutter or fuss.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Potter’s Cottage. It was beautifully appointed and met all our needs. You’ll love the outdoor shower! Our most pleasant moments were sitting under the majestic live oak just steps from the cottage having our morning coffee while listening to birdsong. And it was the perfect setting for evening cocktails. We also enjoyed exploring the surrounding area with its endless variety of eateries and friendly people. I couldn’t think of a better place to stay and we will return. Suzi was the perfect embodiment of Southern Hospitality. She was very attentive, generous and gave us recommendations for whatever we wanted. We were there for a couple of weeks and it was a most pleasant stay for my wife and me. Thank you, Suzi for letting us enjoy your Potter’s Cottage.

This little cottage was so pleasant and inviting. Even though it was right behind the owner's home, it was private and you felt as if you were on the property alone. Ms. Suzi was an amazing host!!! Such a sweet, talented, pleasant lady. We brought her a dessert from our dinner out at The Little Big Cup restaurant and purchased some of her handmade pottery. She even gathers and sells her own honey. Felt like we have known her forever.
