Cornfields and Cane - Retreat and relax on beautiful Cane River Lake.

Watch the sun rise over the cornfield while you enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch. Beautiful sunsets in the evenings overlooking the lake never disappoint.

Bringing your boat? There is a public boat launch a quarter of a mile down the road. Take a 30 minute leisurely boat ride to Front Street and enjoy the festivities.

If you are driving into town, we are 8 miles to Front street.

The indoor kitchen is fully stocked. The griddle in the outdoor kitchen is out of commission, however there is a charcoal grill for your use.

WiFi is available and you may use streaming apps to watch television, however cable tv is not offered.

The home provides ample room to bring the family. There’s nothing fancy here, but peacefulness is found in the simplicity of our home and the tranquility of the water.

Swimming is allowed at your own risk. Kayaks are on site along with life jackets. Kayaks can be used at your own risk.

Security cameras are on site capturing entrance gates, pontoon boat, boat dock, and rear entrance of the house.

We had a wonderful weekend at Cornfields and Cane! We loved kayaking down the Cane River, watching the sunrise over the cornfield, and fishing off the pier. We enjoyed making s’mores over the gas fire pit in the evenings and playing poker too. It was stocked with games and candies in a jar that made the kids so excited when they walked in. My husband and I loved the keurig coffee maker and the stocked pods available. We also enjoyed the Christmas decor and the inspiring quotes around the house. It truly was everything we needed! We hope we get to come back:)

Perfect for us!

I highly recommend the property! It was perfect for my elderly parents and me. The house and property are as described. Very spacious for a large family. The property is so peaceful. The front and back porches are amazing (my favorite parts of the property). We spent many hours sitting on the back porch enjoying the water and birds. Lawn is well manicured. House is so clean and well-stocked. The beds, sofa and recliner were very comfortable. Air conditioners worked well. To top it all off, Nicole was so lovely and kind! Thank you, Nicole, for allowing us to stay. We look forward to visiting again.

Relaxed on the river

Great property with an awesome location on the Kane River. The outdoor deck was wonderful, sat and watched the birds and the river. Home was very comfortable and clean, and the host was extremely responsive to a few requests we had. Would recommend and would stay there again.

Family reunion

This was a beautiful property. Very peaceful and quiet. Great front porch to enjoy the breeze or back porch to enjoy the river view. Beautiful trees and plants. House was roomy and comfortable. Nicole was a great host. Will definitely stay here again.

Long Weekend

We enjoyed everything about the property. It was very comfortable, clean, but the best part was having coffee in the morning on the dock overlooking Cane River. Nicole was an excellent host and made sure that she was always available should anything arise. Absolutely recommend this property!

Great place to stay!!!

This property is great for pretty much any type of guests. Nice and quiet and away from the hustle and bustle but only 15 minutes from stores and restaurants. Also, an easy drive to Natchitoches. The house has lots of room, comfortable beds, games, and large front and back porches. The back porch overlooking the lake is the perfect place to relax. There are bird feeders so we were able to sit back and watch them come and go. The boat launches are close and the boat dock was convenient for the guys to stop in for lunch and then go back out. Great place to stay.

Relaxation on the river

This property was perfect for an extended family weekend getaway. We had everything we needed for a fun, comfortable stay. The back patio is awesome! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We love Cornfields and Cane

This was our second time staying at this lovely property and we fell more in love with it on this recent visit. It is quite a gem! The grounds were lush and well maintained. We loved sitting on the back porch in the mornings drinking coffee and watching the birds flitter about. Nicole is an attentive and communicative host. Just a very lovely person. I highly recommend Cornfields and Cane.

Amazing Stay

The house was exactly as described, and the property was absolutely beautiful. We had all we needed for a very relaxing weekend. The guys spent the days fishing while the ladies enjoyed reading on the back porch. I definitely plan to visit again.

Weekend getaway

This is a great place to stay. The pictures do not do it justice. The front porch and back patio are awesome. The view of cane river is gorgeous as you relax and unwind on the back patio. Highly recommend this place!!!!

This is one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed. Plenty extra linens & towels. The back yard is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The inside has been completely renovated.

Texas to North Carolina

A few members of my family flew into Houston to view the total eclipse in Waco then we drove back to NC. We stayed 2 nights in Natchitoches and our stay here was fabulous. Awesome space with views of the lake. Would love to come back sometime!
