Enjoy your stay at the Old House on New Street! This home was built in the Historic District of McKinney, TX in 1940. Beautifully decorated with design elements to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. Newly renovated with open concept living, dining, & kitchen. Conveniently located minutes from downtown, restaurants, shopping, & cafes. After a fun-filled day, craft meals in our fully stocked kitchen & relax in the spacious backyard! If working remote, fast Wi-Fi comes standard. Truly a gem!

We are centrally located in McKinney and the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy your vacation. The Master has a King bed and an en-suite bathroom while the other full-bathroom serves the Queen bedroom and Full bedroom.

While staying here the entire house and yard will be your private oasis! We offer a Keyless touchpad entry and there is a parking space for 2 cars tandem.

Cute house, small but had an open floor plan so it felt much larger. Nice kitchen and all beds were comfortable. however the property had several maintenance issues. The flooring was loose in several areas and it felt like the sub floor was going to give way. The master shower had a mold. It was generally clean but several areas needed a deep clean and repair work.

Excellently Prepared Property

The home was very well set up. Soap and paper towels set and at the ready in various locations. The set up reminded me of high end hotels with the attention to details. The welcome card that was embossed had the wifi password all prepared to read and on a stand in the kitchen. NICE. The door code was set to the last four numbers of my cell. Super Professional.

Quaint house in quiet downtown neighborhood

The host communicated quickly. The upgrades to the house were nice. Washer and dryer were very convenient. The beds are memory foam. Good water pressure for the shower in the 2nd bathroom; not so much in the master bath. But the master bedroom and bathroom were nice and big, and has 2 closets (with hangers). Wifi was strong. The house stayed at a comfortable temperature even with no ceiling fans, but there was an extra fan available to use. There is a camera at the front door and the back door. The driveway is long enough for 2 vehicles to park tandem. The quiet neighborhood is being revitalized and the houses are beautiful. If you walk to downtown, it will be a hike but definitely visit because downtown was amazing!! Overall it was a great stay for us.

Host and property were great! Place is small, but fully stocked, clean, in close proximity to downtown and super inviting. I have no complaints and would absolutely stay at this property again. Very thoughtfully set up for a small group.

We were in town for a wedding and the property was in a great location and very close to old town McKinney with all of its shops and restaurants (the wedding reception was at on of the venues in McKinney).

Great place!

Loved this place! Nice house and great neighborhood. Loved that you could walk to the historic downtown district. The owner was easily accessible and very nice. Highly recommend this listing if you are visiting the area!

This is a cozy little gem located a short stroll away from blocks of unique historical homes and a short drive from downtown McKinney. A little smaller than expected but just fine for our vacation needs. Beautifully updated.

Quiet little hideaway

Home was nicely maintained and we enjoyed staying there. The owner Lacey was very nice, attentive and even put up a small Christmas tree and lights for the holidays. We'd definitely would rent from her again!

The house was perfect! Exceeded our expectations on every level. Clean, quiet, beautifully decorated with loads of little personal touches that created a serene & welcoming atmosphere. This was our second stay at The Cozy Home downtown Mckinney. It is a hidden gem for sure & has quickly become our first choice for lodging when we are in town.
