Get away from it all at this rare, private, garden oasis! Casa Flores del Mar (House of Flowers of the sea) is one of the few properties in the region with true ocean access. Stone steps carved into the mountainside take you down to massive boulders for sunbathing and tidepools for exploring or cooling off. Prepare the mornings catch in our fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy the sounds of the ocean as you sleep under a light and airy mosquito net. Allow the daytime breeze to whisk you away to daydreams while swinging in the hammock. We welcome you to Casa Flores del Mar...the perfect place to rest and recharge with mother nature. **Please note: The house is not air conditioned.**

Puerto Angel paradise

Wonderful views, excellent accommodation, 10 minute walk into town for fresh fruit and vegetables and fish. Very peaceful and safe place to stay. Lupe and Lupita made sure our stay was excellent.

Beautiful holiday Puerto Angels

My daughter, sister and myself stayed 10 days at Casa Flores del Mar. Perfect house, clean, well equipped and private. Absolutely gorgeous view from every room. Village was quiet and friendly, fresh fish fruit and vegetables daily. Perfect vacation to relax and spend precious time together.

Authentic experience

We just returned from a one week stay at Casa Flores. What a beautiful oasis!!! We travel often and have stayed in many places but Casa Flores was a gem to us. Its grand beauty is in its location and outdoor living space. Being right on the ocean and experiencing the ocean breeze was top notch!!Lupe and Lupita were amazing and very attentive to our needs. They were easy to reach and always available. The pueblo felt very safe and friendly! We rented a vehicle and enjoyed visiting different beachesHighly recommend casa flores!!!

Spectacular Setting

The view takes your breath away! Casa Flora del Mar is a magical, special place. We agree whole heartedly with all of the very descriptive comments so we will not duplicate them. The lovely breezes, fantastic sunsets and the lights of the fishing boats in the evening were fantastic. We even saw whales on several occasions in the morning. Lupe and Lupita were very helpful and lovely. We recommend Casa Flora del Mar to anyone who wants a great vacation.

Paradise in nature

We had the most restful, peaceful stay in this magical place. We felt so connected to nature with the beautiful gardens and the sea below. The property is equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, comfy seating everywhere and it’s a short stroll to Puerto Angel which is a beautiful little fishing village which isn’t too touristy, which we loved. Lupe and Lupita, who look after the house and gardens were lovely. Would wholeheartedly recommend staying here

Unique property; awesome view

The new owners have renovated this thatched roof Mexican house while retaining its traditional charm. Perched on a cliff the property runs down to the ocean. The master bedroom is open to the sea breezes. Most relaxing place. Sunsets gorgeous. The owner is helpful and very responsive to inquiries and requests. Local caretaker also very helpful. We highly recommend this property.

Absolute Paradise

this unique property is absolutely beautiful. from the moment I entered the property gate, I was greeted by a slight sea breeze and the most stunning view of the fantastically manicured vegetation. As I continued down the stairs to the main house the property and the sights opens up to the most amazing view of the Bahia. This house is traditionally breathtaking and charming from the well equipped kitchen, living room to the top floor open Palapa bedroom. I was able to rest easy on the swinging hammock before stepping down to my own private ocean tide pools. the lower Bungalow is also just as amazing. I can hardly wait to return to this beautiful house.

Blissful serenity

You will instantly fall in love with Casa Flores del Mar the moment you step through the entrance; it is almost impossible to take in all the beauty upon arrival. I wish I could bottle the experience in its entirety as a photo just isn’t enough to encapsulate the whole essence. From the colours and smells of the flowers, the sound and the blue of the crashing waves, the warmth of the breeze as you relax in one of the many Adirondacks, rocking chairs, hammocks, or cozy couches; this haven of wonder has it all. There is bright and airy kitchen for all you cooking needs, an open air shower and bathroom, more cozy reading nooks, and cobblestone steps down to tidal pools filled with sea life and cool waters. The local beach and town is a short walk away where you will find all you need; restaurants with fresh seafood, shops and groceries, swimming, and beautiful sunsets. A short drive will bring you to bright and colourful Zipolite with its markets and long stretches of sandy beaches. Casa Flores del Mar is one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. Sara is a wonderfully communicative host and made everything so simple and easy for us. Her and Jesse have impeccable taste when it comes to the magical colourful and local decor they have chosen. You really feel as though you have stepped into a hidden enchanted land and you can hardly believe it’s all yours for the duration of your stay. I cannot wait to return, and I know that anyone who chooses to stay here will feel exactly the same way. We are so lucky we found this place and you are too :)

Casa Flores Del Mar is a magical place. We are a family of 4, with two teens, and we loved our stay. It may not be for everyone, as it is slightly off the beaten path, has no AC, and the top floor has two open sides (no walls or windows) facing the sea. We absolutely LOVED this feature but I can imagine others that might not. The house is lovingly decorated and the caretakers, Lupe and Lupita, are kind and gentle people. The gardens, paths, and perches are lovely. We saw whales from the porch multiple times. I would love to return to Casa Flores Del Mar. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise.

Having first visited the Oaxacan coast in 2015, we fell in love with the charm and beauty found in the people and the many bays of Huatulco. We quickly realized that this place was calling us to return time and time again. We purchased our first home in 2019 (Casita Sarafina) in the beautiful bay of La Mina. Then in 2022, we purchased this home and named it Casa Flores del Mar (House of flowers by the sea). While we spend a good majority of our time in the US, we aim to be on the Oaxacan coast numerous times throughout the year. We now enjoy a diverse and enriching community of friends and chosen family, which only grows every time we spend time on this coast.

Why they chose this property

The coastline in the region is quite rugged. Very few properties have ocean access. So, when we found this property we knew it was something very special. It is quiet, peaceful, traditional, charming and very comfortable. The perfect place to escape the world and be one with nature.

What makes this property unique

A staircase carved into the rocks takes you down to the wild Pacific Ocean. There are tidepools to explore or take a dip in and massive boulders to spread a towel on for sunbathing or daydreaming. Our property offers excellent privacy if you wish to enjoy the property au natural.
