But it's the white sand beaches that make Destin the go-to, relax-by-the-beach vacation spot and our beach is a short walk past the two pools. And when you get hungry or thirsty while lounging on the beach, the onsite beachside Tiki bar serves drinks and food – no need to leave the beach. If you're too tired to cook, there's a Ruth's Chris on the property and numerous restaurants only a short distance. Left anything at home, Walmart is directly across the street. Privacy? The Silver Shells resort has 24x7 on-site security and the property is gated, requiring a security fob for access to move around the grounds. The St. Lucia building has numerous security cameras, and an access code is required to open the building doors.
