Family&Pet friendly Farmhouse, Equine retreat, Fenced yard, Central Location!
Welcome to the Allen house, a beautiful, peaceful home where guests say they “felt right at home the moment they walked through the door”! This charming and spacious farmhouse-style retreat is designed for families, group trips, sports tournaments, and anyone who values comfort, space, and a quiet setting— while enjoying the views of a stable and horses in your backyard! Out back, unwind in a large fenced yard with peaceful views of horses grazing, 2 porch swings, and fresh Tennessee air. Many guests call the backyard a “definite plus” and one of their favorite parts of the stay—especially for kids and dogs. It has a fully stocked kitchen (with a crock pot), formal dining room, large living room, and a large downstairs primary bedroom with en-suite bath! It is two stories, but it is fully handicapped accessible with an interior chair lift and an exterior electric ramp for wheelchairs (please specify accessible needs when booking). Only 30 minutes from the bustle of Nashville and country music, but nestled in a quiet established neighborhood with a fenced in backyard. We are centrally located 24 miles from the airport, 23 miles from Franklin, and just 12 miles from Murfreesboro! Also just minutes from grocery stores, shopping, recreation parks, fishing, and so much more! It is a large house with plenty of room for everyone. We know you will love it as much as we do!
We are pet friendly as well for up to 2 pets! (The Pet Stay is $15/pet/night.) We do have a pet crate policy for this home. When dogs are left unattended we ask that they remain in their crates. We also request that the dogs stay off the furniture and beds. We (and future guests) appreciate your compliance with our pet policy.

Other Things to Note * Neighborhood Setting: While the backyard opens to peaceful farm views with horses, the home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, not an isolated rural property. This balance provides both tranquility and convenience. * Outdoor Conditions: The yard is spacious and fenced, but after heavy rain the grass may be damp—typical for the area and season. * Comfort & Style: The home prioritizes comfort, space, and livability. Furnishings are selected for relaxation and durability rather than showroom styling. * Designed for Families & Groups: This is a home meant for gathering, relaxing, and making memories—not a party house.
Other things to note: You have the whole house to yourself. There is a separate apartment above the garage with the side entrance reserved for the equine caretaker used only during inclement weather.

The house had everything that we needed for our stay. Jonathan & Diana were wonderful to work with. We were traveling with our dog and the fenced back yard was perfect. Thanks for a great stay!

Thank you so much! Please come back anytime! We'd love to host you again!
Our first time at this property. We had our family and grandchildren stay and all enjoyed the stay. The kids enjoyed the open spaces to play and see the horses. The adults enjoyed the cleanliness and responsiveness of the hosts. We plan to stay here again in the future. Dana and Jonathon were great hosts!
The house was great and the listing well represented it. We had a group of six. And enough space for all of us. It was a great base of operations for our weekend getaway. The location was convenient to Nashville, but gave us a quiet spot to retreat to in the evenings.

It ended up being just me staying on at the Farm but I will defiantly recommend this property while in Nashville.

Thank you so much! It is truly a very relaxing home, and we enjoy sitting on the back porch swings eating lunch during our cleanings! So glad you enjoyed it as well! Come back anytime, even if it's just for one person! :)
The home is located in a very nice, friendly neighborhood. The homes are on large lots and farm property is behind the house. The neighborhood is pet friendly. Everywhere we walked neighbors greeted us. We took Ubers to downtown Nashville which made it hassle free. The owners are very responsive to any needs. We would stay here again for sure!

Thank you so much for the lovely review! Please come back anytime!
Steps (both front and rear) were not very well suited for people with walkers! The back steps riser on the right side was broken at the bottom of the step. The steps were angled downward because of the broken riser.

Oh no, I wish you had told me about this during your stay! We came over to bring supplies and would have loved the opportunity to fix it for y’all! We have an accessible entrance on the side of the home we open for guests if they need it, all that is needed is to ask. I’m so sorry for the difficulty your family member experienced during the stay! Thank you for the feedback, we do appreciate it!
First of all, the only access to the porch was steps. We were led to believe the house was handicapped accessible because there was a stair lift inside. Wouldn’t a person be justified to assume you could access the porch by ramp if there is a stair lift inside? I was told after we left the property, via email, that I should have asked them ahead of check-in to unlock the porch ramp so we could use it. Who has a ramp on a porch that is locked up tight? The front steps were dangerously tall. I called the number given at check-in, but no one answered. We had to lift my 79 year old mother up the steps. Once we got inside the stair lift was locked. Apparently an oversight on my behalf as there was a note under the online site that said the lift could be unlocked if notified ahead of time. I’m sure other renters have overlooked details in the past. Had someone been available by phone at check-in, this could have been easily rectified. However nothing was said on the site about needing to let them know ahead that we needed the ramp unlocked to even access the porch. I was told in an email after we left the property that we should have called the other number, used the app, or emailed that there was an issue. Imagine that. Standing in the freezing cold with my 79 year old, disabled mother waiting to access all those various forms of communication. I was even told I should have rang the doorbell as this would have summoned help. Of course this was after we checked out. Who rings a doorbell in an empty house? Shouldn’t the number we were given along with check-in instructions have been a number of someone who could help us? I was told that person was not responsible that day. Of course this was after we left the property. Also, I specifically asked multiple questions about the fire pit to make sure we understood it used wood, which we had to provide, and how many chairs were provided. Yet, when we get there the chairs all around and the entire pit area were covered in leaves higher than knee deep. Who wants to get all dirty and wet wading through knee deep leaves? I also wrongly assumed there would be a high chair. The home had a nursery and crib, but I was supposed to have asked ahead if there was a high chair? Who has a crib in their home for a baby and doesn’t have a high chair? Many problems that made our stay much less enjoyable than it should have been. Very very disappointed.

I am very sorry this experience was disappointing. We truly want our guests to have great experiences!
We've adjusted our procedures because of your experience to a different contact person, as well as we try to gauge if an elderly family is visiting to preemptively ask if they need the assistive devices. That's been working since this experience 1 1/2 ago. {On a personal note, the front steps (I agree they are unusually tall) were built by the home owners father, who passed a couple of years ago. Due to sentimental reasons, we are unable to change the front stairs or cover them with more accessible decking as a part of our contract with her.} The inside stair ramp no longer has a lock and is easily accessible now.
As for the high chair, we still don't provide that and I'm sorry you were disappointed. I'll try to keep an eye on the leaves from the great trees in the back during the fall. We may need to keep a blower at the home, because those trees drop a LOT of leaves very quickly!
I'm sure you won't come back to visit this home, but I would like for you to know that we've changed our procedures and learned from your experience, so hopefully no one else will have a disappointing experience when gathering to visit family in our short term rental home.
We had a small family gathering for a wedding and this was the perfect place for 10 people to sleep and enjoy each others company. Looking forward to visiting again.
We had a great time in a group of 5. This place is lovely if you want to visit nashville but also stay at a place that is green and spacious. Highly recommended! Btw, we ate gyros at Athens Greek restaurant and liked it a lot.

Thank you so much! We LOVE Athens greek and the owner is so kind, and the food is exceptional!!
My husband and his mother stayed at the property and felt we had room for everyone to have their own space and be together for the family times. The property is in a residential neighborhood which was nice for walking our two dogs.

What a great find and place to stay this property turned out to be for our band! Based out of Bristol, TN, we are often scrambling to find a decent place to stay between gigs in Nashville. Hopefully, we won’t have to look very long next time because this will definitely be the first thing we check! Just a very nice, clean, “home.” We actually even got to do some late evening pickin and singin on the back porch just for fun! Just that kind of vibe!

We had an amazing time! The property is beautiful and the house was cozy and roomy. Only down fall was no washer and dryer. With it being a house I guess I expected to have one. Otherwise great place!

You're in luck! We recently added not just 1, but 2 sets of washer/dryers in the home! We'd love to host y'all again anytime! Thank you!!
My family is made up of native Nashvillians, and the rest of us have grown up here. We've seen Nashville change from a quiet country town, to a busting metropolis that we scarcely recognize every time we visit downtown! Our family loves traveling and visiting new places and especially other cultures! We also love movies (with one student in college for art, and the other studying film both at local universities)! Our youngest is still figuring out what he wants to do (for he has time), and he would love to talk to you about it if you give him the chance! :) Our hosting personalities are to give you a peaceful, clean, and comfortable place to relax and spend time with families, whether you are visiting our great city or needing a place to stay because of home renovation or in town for work! We are happy to host you and look forward to a no drama and no surprises fees after you book or leave! As long as you treat our homes well, we are more than happy to treat you well! We look forward to hosting you!!
Why they chose this property
This home is located in a quiet established neighborhood, with friendly neighbors who walk their dogs and play with their kids in the street. It has a mixture of older and younger families. The peaceful vibe and central location are what truly makes this home amazing! It's a mile away from I-24, yet no highway noise! The neighborhood is secluded, minutes away from Dunkin Donuts, 10+EV charging station, shopping, fast food, and more!
What makes this property unique
This home is incredibly unique! It is in the middle of a fairly busy area, but you would never know it when sitting on the back porch swings watching the horses in the back yard! It's so peaceful on the back porch that a bluegrass group wrote a song while staying with us and played it for the neighbors! It is also built to accommodate handicapped, so has great accessibility features!
