1 level-3 Bed Cottage

🚸 Child friendly. 🌳 Open farmland behind the house. 🐎 Surrounded by many Amish stores, businesses, Amish schools, and farms. 🌻 Ideal for elderly and handicapped.
Stay in Amish country with a Mennonite family who loves music and singing acapella. We love to chat about our history and you are welcome to visit our church. Although new on this site, we are long time hosts and welcome friends and visitors alike.
- House -
A one-story rustic cottage with a living area, kitchen, full bathroom, and 3 bedrooms. The kitchen provides basic amenities - glasses, mugs, plates and bowls, small kettles as well as a microwave, stove, and refrigerator. You have easy access as everything is located on one level without steps in the house. There are 2 steps coming in from the outside. If needed, assistance can be provided for wheelchair access. A large crib may be available on request. Air conditioning and heated well.

The house is situated on a 1/2 acre with a large open yard and plenty of grass. The back of the property borders Amish farm land where you can see horses and mules working the land from time to time. It’s like traveling back in time watching them. You are the only guests on the property.

The house was perfect for our 3 older ladies. We enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very accommodating. Location worked great for us and we enjoyed looking out the window and see the horse and buggys go by. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a terrific stay at the house. Was a great location among the farms. Great view from the back deck. The only issue we had was the wi-fi connection. If I didn't need it for some work I had to do, it would not have been a problem. Overall, I would recommend the property to family and friends.

Quaint Getaway in Lancaster

My friend and I booked a weekend trip to relax and go to the Turkey Hill Experience. House was clean and cute. Close enough to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay. Would recommend for families or small groups that want simple, clean, accommodations, close to Lancaster attractions and Amish country.

Shopping areas were not far at all. No issues with the pet areas. Perfect place to really get to see all the Amish people and the horses and buggies. We got to see the Amish working in the corn fields. One of the best things was getting to meet a couple of the owners. They were very nice and friendly and helpful. They were very informative. They had lots of goodies waiting in the fridge for us. One of my absolute favorites, ( OATMEAL/RAISIN ) cookies!!!! Oh boy they were delicious!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this home and family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great place to stay

This was our second time we stayed here. It was myself and my daughter. The house was cozy, clean, and comfortable. They provide you with everything you need. Quiet neighborhood and good location. Not far from local restaurants and attractions. You can watch the buggies go by from the front. Will be back again! Thank you Daniel and Elizabeth for everything!

A place to Relax

This lovely cottage provides everything you need to sit back and relax and enjoy all the nature surrounding the cottage. Personal favourite is sitting on the back porch and watching the fire flies glow at night. During the day, the little calf across the road loved any attention it could get. Inside the cottage, the beds are comfortable; the kitchen has everything we needed and then some... (thankyou for the fresh berries, the double yolk eggs. Amazing!) It's location is close to everything we wanted to see and do. Thank you for letting us stay at Paradise Cottage.

Choose this paradise for your stay

We were a little on the fence about staying so far away from Lancaster, but having this paradise as our home base made it definitely worth it. The home was spacious, cozy and filled with everything under the sun that you may need during your stay. You get to see the horse and buggies go right by the front window and the vast field in the back is nice to just stare out at the farms. Full size crib and toys were a major bonus for our baby. Beds were comfortable and there are plenty of extra blankets. It allows you to drive through the beautiful scenery to get to where you are going and see cows, buggies, and all kinds of interesting sights. Crossroads Cafe was about 4 minutes away and great for breakfast as well as a small grocery store attached.its right next to the road but the road noise did not affect us at all, just the clip clip of the horses hoofs.
