Kicking Horse Gem-Best Views on the Mountain

270 degree views of the mountains! One of the few true ski in/ski out chalets at the base of the ski hill. Outdoor hot tub, wood burning stove, Dream Chef's kitchen with 12 foot island, 2 sinks with garborators. Double fridges, 36 Gas professional cooktop. High end Miele appliances. Radiant Infloor heating throughout the house. Warm on feet and no dry air! 5 bedrooms that sleeps 19 people BUT with the set up have 14 adults can each have their own bed. Rec room with pool table and huge bootroom.

It is a two story with the main level having 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom. Also the entry leads into a huge boot room with 12 cubbies, boot warmers for 6 pairs of boots, wall to hold skis and poles and a tuning table (bring your own tuning supplies). The upstairs has a powder room half way up and the second level has 2 master bedrooms with their own ensuites. Once upstairs you could spend the entire weekend up there as the kitchen, dining area and living room in also on this level. Perfect for older couples or grandparents who don't want to navigate the stairs.

The side door to the right when facing the chalet is the access door with a code lock.

In an area of exclusive ski chalets. All unique and quite nice. Quiet street with very little traffic if any at all. Walking trails all around the chalet.

Room for 4 cars. Overflow parking at the village and gondola is a 6 minute walk.

We have the best internet in Kicking Horse!! Starlink satellite internet with download speeds of 150mbps. 90% of the chalet's up here have Telus which is maxed out at 15mbps. We couldn't watch a video with this speed and impossible to work for us.

overall a great place, however some issues were: Oven was not working (needs sensor which is on order), some lights missing, some not bright enough in the rec room, ceiling fan not working, some small bedrooms while others are large, toilet in master ensuite needs repair, large window in kitchen over counter will not close (something blocking), and finally the entrance where guests arrive needs snow removal and ice removal. I know it snows lots but this area needs attention or someone will fall and hurt themselves while unloading or loading.

Beautiful spot for our family vacation

This gorgeous mountain chalet was the perfect spot for our large family to gather on vacation. We hiked, white water rafted, golfed, etc during the day and then enjoyed meals, games, and quality family fun under one roof during the evenings. Close to Golden for groceries or a meal out as well. Absolutely outstanding!

Amazing home with lots of room and beds for the whole family. Perfect kitchen for getting ready in the morning for big hiking or ski trips. Every window has an outstanding view of the Canadian country side, it’s hard to find a bad view from any balcony. The fire pit in the backyard was perfect after a good day of hiking. For any large group of 10-14 people I can’t recommend more! We had 14 people at one point with room to spare.

We had an amazing time! The rooms are bigger than in the photos. I recommend booking the minimum then adding guests when additional guests are 100% coming. The fridge died but Mary was very very accomodating as there were mini fridges in the cellar. Overall we had a great experience

Summer week in Kicking Horse

Very nice home with lots of space and amenities. Fully stocked kitchen with 2 fridges and all other necessary appliances. Beautiful views of the rocky mountains. Nice outdoor deck with grill. About 8 mile drive to and from Golden when coming and going. No AC for summer months but lots of fans!

The house was very clean and well stocked. The location is great. The massive mud room/ski storage room is a really nice feature, and the game room was enjoyable. The welcome guide was thought out. There is ample sleeping space- however some of the bedrooms are quite small. The host was responsive with some like installing the screens, but never fixed the broken blinds.

Beautiful Group Getaway in the Columbias

This truly is a gem! The house has stunning 270 degree views of the mountains, with an exceptional sun room to enjoy morning coffee or an evening cocktail. The space is well stocked to host a large group, with lots of space to spread out. Not only that, but the blue mountain gem team is super communicative and responsive. They also go out of their way to provide a lovely guide book with recommendations for the area. You'll have nothing to worry about staying at the Kicking Horse Lodge!

Impressive Views and Cozy

Our group of 6 loved our two nights at Kicking Horse Lodge Gem. After being in hotels around Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise it was a perfect two nights of relaxation and coziness. We loved the fire pit and the hot tub and enjoying all the comforts of the home.

Friend and Family ski trip from Philadelphia to Kicking Horse!

Our group absolutely loved our stay at the Kicking Horse Lodge Gem! The property was as advertised and the ski in/out location was amazing! Having the gear room to store our equipment at the end of the day was invaluable and the hot tub overlooking the mountain was the perfect end to each day! Brent and Mary were great to work with and answered all of our questions in short order. I would stay here again without hesitation!

Amazing Property!

Such a cool property inside, there's so much unique space to gather as a larger group or individually between the kitchen, the nook off of the end, or the basement game room. Architecturally, one of the coolest houses our group has stayed in. We had 13 adults on this trip and I'd say that's about the maximum number that can be slept comfortably with some of the bedrooms being on the smaller side. When we return to Kicking Horse for a future trip, we'd love to stay here again.

A slice of heaven in Golden

We met some close friends and their families halfway (we are from Vernon, they are from Calgary) and this was the perfect spot to spend some quality time! Such a great location to endless exploration in nature, including a wonderful playground the kids enjoyed. It was spacious and had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back!

Large Group Stay

We had a lovely stay at this property - it was perfect for a large group of skiers but still was great for those who didn't want to ski as well! The kitchen was great and expansive- there was one minor issue with the oven but the hosts were swift to help us out with the problem. We had a cook and assistant with us as well and they loved the large island to work on. One thing we found so cool about the area was the proximity to the mountain and the network of trails around that you could visit.

Great property

This is a large rental with lots of comfortable beds. Has a big kitchen, living room and dining area. Tons of space, has a pool table and would be excellent if you are a ski family. A big boot room for all your gear.

We've thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Robes and slippers to walk out to the hot tub, yoga mat and foam roller to ease muscles after a day on the hill, charging stations for electronics, computer monitor to connect your laptop and a work desk with a view, new smart TV's with built in Netflix, Apple TV, Prime, etc apps
