Bedrooms
Bedroom 1
King size Bed with comfortable padded mattress cover. Bed linens provided, TV with satellite also in the bedroom. As of April 2019, there is new furniture in the living room. Had to let the sleeper sofa go and replaced it with a very comfortable double recliner sofa and a rocker recliner as well. For the extra guests or the kids is a very nice single memory foam rollaway cot. Planning to purchase another soon, but the couch is very comfortable to sleep on as well.(linens supplied). Much more comfortable than the sofa bed and much easier to set up.

Notes
- There is a public boat launch less than 1 mile away and room to park a trailer at cabin. There is no dock at this time, but can secure in front of property by anchor. Use is at your own risk. The landscaping is a constant work in progress. There is new furniture in the living room, had to let the sleeper sofa go. For extra guests or the kids, a memory foam rollaway cot with linens!! A 32' HDTV in the main room and a small TV in the bedroom.. Some kids games. The electric fire logs in the fireplace, can be used without heat year round for ambience. The cabin is on a hill. There are 21 steps from the private parking area, but we also now have made a driveway up to the cabin, so now there are just about 4 steps to the walkway.Much easier access to the front door!! There is a table, 4 chairs, with cushions, and an umbrella on the deck for eating outside. New furniture and cushions on the porch for just relaxing and taking in the view, and a Gas Grill. And the Beautiful Sunsets! WOW!!

Ask a questionAbout Larry and Sheila Tinker
Owner: Sheila Poland Tinker. I grew up in Gloucester and graduated from Gloucester High in 1977. Married Larry Tinker in 1993, moved to Yorktown and had one beautiful daughter, Brittany.
Larry and Sheila Tinker purchased this Cabin in 1991
Why Larry and Sheila Tinker chose Gloucester Point
This cabin has been in my family since 1941. It was being built by my grandfather and his 3 sons(my father was 7 at the time) when Pearl Harbor was being bombed. So it has a lot of memories in it for my family. My husband and I bought it from my 2 uncles in 1991 and now share 2/3 ownership with my dad. We have refurbished it and updated it without taking away the beautiful memories of the history. You can still see the handprints on the A- frame wood ceiling from where they had to place each piece. This cabin means a lot to me and my family and we look forward to sharing it with you!
What makes this Cabin unique
Beautiful stone fireplace with electric fire logs for ambience. French doors that open to the screened porch, where you can see the most beautiful sunsets on the York River. Can fish right from the property without getting a fishing license. (ask for details on confirmation number to do that). Very peaceful and quiet but still close to alot of fun things to do. We will consider pets, but need to know full details beforehand. Have had trouble in the past and are now very cautious about allowing them, but understand how important they are to your family. We have 2 Yorkies of our own and love being able to take them with us.
