We love the secluded area and the home was comfortable and clean, it had everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are very plush. If you are traveling with pets, it’s a perfect place, our golden retrievers love the yard to run around and sniff. It’s an adorable little restored home, We enjoyed our stay very much!

This little cottage is a gem ! The place was clean,orderly and had a wonderful,homey feel to it. Quiet surroundings made it an ideal place for relaxing. Our churches women's retreat was a success because of it. It's a retreat for sure and certainly deserves a return visit. C MacDonald

Great place to relax and enjoy a quiet setting which is still close to Yorktown and Williamsburg. Pet friendly with room to walk. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need and all appliances. Catesby was a wonderful host and always reachable by phone. Nice porch and outdoor fire pit which would have been used more except that it was August.

Very cute and comfortable cottage about 10 min from Gloucester and easy access to groceries/gas, etc along main highway. The property was clean. Do note, if you plan to use the library trundle, it is right in the middle of the house (kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, porch all surround this room). We had a few issues due to the age of the house, but was easy to communicate with host. Kitchen well-stocked for six people. Bring your own laundry detergent!!

Our family of 6 (age range 20’s to 80’s) enjoyed all of the rooms and porches. The air conditioners kept the home comfortable and the porches were cozy for those who like it warmer. We liked the convenience of being able to make our own breakfasts and dinners here. Having a grill was a bonus.

This property was an oasis on our trip. It was quiet and peaceful. It had everything we needed. It was clean and we loved being outside. We saw deer several times and totally enjoyed getting away from the busy crowds. Would definitely stay there again. The host was wonderful and responsive!!!

Very interesting place to stay. Beautiful property and the house itself is very cool. It feels old but that only adds to the charm. The owner is very good at communication and helping you find the property, which is a bit off the beaten path. But again, that is what makes this place fun. I’d stay here again anytime.

Restored cottage was very clean and accurate to the listing. The owner/manager was highly communicative and helpful. Good access and proximity to local attractions. I would recommend this house and would stay here again.
