About Cari Bailey-Molinaro

Hi, We are Dennis and Mary Bailey. We have lived in Alaska for over thirty years and continue to enjoy the excitement and beauty that is Alaska. We own all twelve units in this condominium location and maintain them ourselves. Dennis loves fishing out of Resurrection Bay and goes out in our boat as often as he can. I like the small town opportunities for friendly neighbors and fun shopping. We have been in the rental business for over 15 years and have enjoyed preparing two of our Seward properties for nightly rentals. We love hearing your input; compliments and suggestions help us grow.

Would Definitely Stay Here Again - Great Location

  • 5 of 5

Can't beat the location! We could walk to the docks for all of our boat tours. The accommodations were very comfortable. We had a party of 9 so we actually booked two of their condos which worked out perfect! There were washer and dryer in each unit with laundry soap...very convenient! I wish we could have stayed here longer.

It's perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second visit to this really great condo. Even better this year, improvements include new linens, lock on the garage door and a really clean freezer for the fish. So my suggestions from last year were heeded and now the place is the best experience ever! Do not hesitate to reserve this - it''s in a wonderful location for fishing, exploring the harbor, and sauntering down to the town. I really enjoyed watching the harbor activity and people-watching - truly got the "Alaskan Frontier" flavor. We definitely plan to return here again and again!

Best location, but condo needs upgrades

  • 4 of 5

#7 - Location was absolutely perfect! Condo was clean and owners most congenial.

Three floors was manageable and harbor activity so interesting. Loved watching cruise ships come and go. However, condo is definitely showing its' age with warped interior doors, tattered bed linens, and poor security measures. I would definitely return, but I would bring along some door locks to feel really safe. (The freezer in the garage was a big benefit for the fish boxes, but it needed cleaning). So, yes, we would definitely return, just with lower expectations. We had great weather and great fishing!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback, and we are glad you enjoyed your stay at our condo. The tattered bed linen was a vintage quilt we shared with our guests, but understand your feelings/perspective and have decided to remove it this year and replace with new linens. Safety is always a priority for us, even in the quiet town of Seward. There is no lock between the garage & home, however there is a lock between the garage and outdoors. We also understand your feelings on this and plan to install at least a hand lock to help everyone feel secure. We constantly strive to better our facilities for the comfort of our guests. We look forward to having you again this year!

Alaska Adventure

  • 4 of 5

After an exhausting day of travel it was wonderful to arrive at a home that had everything we needed to go immediately to bed. The ground floor was perfect for our parents, they seldom had to walk up the stairs. The view is awesome and we were never kept awake by the RV park. It was so much fun to watch the boats and cruise ships go in and out. Also, everything is within walking distance. This town is so friendly, it was a great stay.

Convenient location in Seward

  • 3 of 5

The unit was well located within walking distance to a number of restaurants and shops. With the exception of the upstairs carpet, which had some pretty gross stains, the unit was very clean, although it could use a little refurbishing. The living room was very light and pleasant. The downstairs bedroom was rather cramped. The kitchen was moderately well equipped, although we would have appreciated having more than just the one garbage bag. As other reviewers have noted, the unit overlooks an RV park, but you still have a nice view of the harbor. The park can be noisy. We were awakened one morning about 5:30AM by some men talking loudly right outside the fence. I wish we’d known the “rules” posted in the condo ahead of time: “no shoes in the house” (not a problem), “don’t download anything on the internet,” and “don’t cook any fish in the house.” While there was a (shared) BBQ out back, there was no direct access to it. You had to go around the building. By the time you got fish back to the house, it was no longer warm. In inclement weather, this could be a real hassle. Overall, the location of the condo was good, the unit was very clean, and the owner, Mary, seemed very nice when I spoke with her on the phone prior to our stay, although we had no contact with her when we were there.

Great location in Seward

  • 5 of 5

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Harbor Lights Condo. It is the perfect location in Seward, within walking distance to most everything, or just a short drive. It's fun being right in the harbor, my husband really enjoyed talking to all of the fisherman trying to catch Coho in the nearby stream. The morning views of the harbor and mountains were spectacular. The condo is clean and well maintained and had everything we needed. The kitchen is large and well-equipped and the gas grill convenient. The owners are on-sight and very helpful.

As others have mentioned, the condo is three stories, so those that might have trouble negotiating stairs may want the heads up. Also, the upstairs bedroom has a large window type opening that overlooks the living room. There are shutters on the window, but sound does travel. It didn't bother us, but romantic getaways should consider themselves
