Great getaway

Perfect Girls Weekend

Perfect Place! Perfect Location! Perfect Hosts! From the large and lovely living, dining and bedroom spaces inside, to the perfect pool, hot tub and fire table seating area outside - we enjoyed it all! To top it off, anything you could possibly need was no more than 10 minutes from the house, and our hosts were very quick to answer any questions and check in and out were super easy! If I ever want a big house in Augusta again, this place will be on the top of my list!

This property and the hosts were awesome! The house was perfect. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The pool, hot tub and patio is a great place to relax. Everything exceeded my expectations. Its hard to pick a property online and it is more than what the pictures show, but this place did it. It had everything we needed. Snacks on arrival, water bottles in the fridge, coffee, etc. The different little sitting areas throughout the house and outside offered privacy when people needed it and yet was cozy. Absolutely loved this property and would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely AMAZING property and host!

We were in town from out of state for our daughter’s wedding. We had 12 total in our party ranging in age from 17-80. We had an absolute BALL. The house is large enough so that people aren’t all stacked up on each other. There was plenty of room and tons of activities to keep everyone engaged and having fun. We took full advantage of the pool, the amazing hot tub, the covered outdoor deck with tons of seats, the gas grill for chicken & steaks, the video games downstairs, the board games….we did it all and had an amazing time. Also the house is conveniently located within a few minutes of interstate 20 and local grocery stores. The neighborhood the home is located in is very quiet and upscale. Several of us took morning and evening walks with no threat of unleashed animals or speeding traffic. This is a WONDERFUL place to stay and an amazing host to take care of you. The host went above and beyond to accommodate bedding for each unique situation and was easily accessible to answer any questions we might have. Five stars does not do this home or host justice!

A home away from home

I can't say enough great things about this property. Even before booking, communication was great and Jay and Jo were able to provide accommodations for my handicapped family members as well as my massive crew of a family who were coming into town to celebrate my graduation. We spent nearly our entire time in Augusta at the property and it did not disappoint! The pool and hot tub were clean, and provided us hours of entertainment. I think our favorite part of the property was the covered back patio. Throughout the day and evening, this is where the family gravitated to and was a great spot to hang out even if the weather didn't cooperate. You will not want for anything, and if you do, Jay and Jo have probably already thought of it or are only a text away. If you are planning on booking in the Augusta area, this property will not let you down! Thanks Jay and Jo!

AMAZING!!!!

Holy cow! Let me just say we as a family group of between 11 and 20, depending on the year, we have stayed at a lot of VRBO's and this one has been a overall family favorite even without a beach right outside. This home had more ''amenities'' like spices and ketchup snacks and even soaps and all the toilet paper and paper towels we needed!!!! Access to stores for food was 5 mins and ''things to do'' were all within 20 mins (we went to several museums and on the river front trail and sculpture trail and we were going to kayak but it was hot hot hot our week). We mostly stayed at the house and with 2 living rooms 1 up stairs and one down the kid group and our group both had a space to hang out separate. There is also a hallway downstairs that you can shut and beyond it we put our teens who stayed up 'til 5 am running in and out to the hot tub and pool and they did not wake us up after we realized it could be all shut to the rest of the house, amazing!!! The pool and backyard feel so isolated and we could see the littles in the pool while we hung in the pavilion. If that was all it would have got 5 stars and it would have been a fam favorite but the check-out process alone was our favorite part. They did everything for us, laundry, stripping beds ect, all they asked was that trash was in trash cans and not all over the house :o. We have always had an hour of chores to do at the end of vacation for the house to be closed down but not here!! Would recommend and rent again!

The home was beyond anything we could have hoped for. We’re a full time traveling family and we have stayed in some pretty swanky places, but they have nothing on Johanna Hipp. If there is a 1% chance you’re going to need something, they’ve already anticipated it and have it there for you. The Ritz can’t hold a candle to the convenience and hospitality. The moment we walked in the door our kiddos were starving and as we are bringing in the bags I’m about to say I’ll get y’all something in a few, when someone shouts back, never mind, they left us snacks! From the laundry detergent, seasonings and spices, to the grill and pool toys/accessories all you need is yourself and you’re set. There isn’t a single thing that was left without thought. We had cold wet days, where we sat under the covered porch with the fire pit, we had cool sunny days where we swam in the heated pool and almost every evening was spent in the hot tub, then we would all trickled into the living room where we sat and talked, played guitar, sang, laughed and eventually fell asleep. We cooked (probably too many) meals and had everything we needed. My kids have declared it “the best vacation ever”! They’ve never cried when we have left a place, but they cried over this one. I think it’s safe to say, we will be returning guest. Nothing beats feeling like home and this place and these host make you feel very much at home. If you happened to need anything, they are very attentive and will respond right away.

We became residents of Augusta, GA in 2021 when I received an assignment on Fort Gordon as an active-duty Army officer. My husband, a native of Greenville, SC and Army National Guard engineer, has owned a professional land surveying business since 2011 which now operates throughout South Carolina and Georgia. As a result, we decided to plant roots in Augusta. I was raised in a huge family that gathered frequently but needed a lot of space. We opened "Augusta Oasis" in 2022 to provide families a comfortable and affordable place to reconnect and relax.
