Property is conveniently located, so you can get downtown, or on the interstate very quickly. Good property for old college friends to reminisce and catch up. There are six separate beds and plenty of seating to gather around and talk.

John-
It was our pleasure to host you and your group, we sincerely appreciate the care that you gave our home and the respect to our house rules. We welcome you back at any time in the future. Thank you again!
Wonder time staying at this home and being able to walk to the zoo. The home was small kid proofed so we did not have to worry about our 15 month old getting into anything she shouldn't. The peoperty owner was quick at responsing to any questions.

Disliked: Cleanliness, location
Not impressed
Positives:
It is close to the zoo, in walking distance.
Nice house with potential.
The upstairs was perfect for my teenage boys.
Negatives:
Not the best area. Much better on the other side of the highway. We went to a park and my daughter go threatened and yelled at by some guy for looking at his jeep. She loves jeeps and he lost it. There was trash everywhere and allot of people hanging out seeming to be on drugs.
Appliances need upgraded or to be properly installed (washing machine fills with water and stops, dishwasher did not clean, dryer took 2 - 3 full cycles to dry a normal sized load)
With a cleaning fee being charged I thought the place would be clean, quite dusty and looks like the windows have never been cleaned.
Master bedroom bed was broken when we checked in and partially collapsed in we while there. Previously poor fix done to home made bed frame support needed some love.
Driveway is quite a pain to pull out of if you have a large vehicle. You may get stuck in the deep and steep gravel when backing out. All the beds and mattresses felt as old as the house.
You will need to haul the trash almost around a block to get it in the right spot or try to take it down front steep concrete steps (which has a hand rail that must be for decoration because it sways a good amount at the top)
Only found that out by asking and had missed trash day by a couple days already being there for almost a week.
Some of the online pictures did not match, the dining room for example was way different with a very light weight table and chairs that I did not trust.
You may want to bring your own dishes and cutlery. The house is supposed to be ready for 8 people but there isn't 8 of much there. There were some plastic knives and forks kind of thrown in a drawer which was quite dirty.
Overall I wouldn't rent again.

Our beautiful property is a 128 year old, quaint period home, that is well kept and cared for with updated modern conveniences. This guest was one of the worst guests we have ever had in 10 years of hosting. Upon stating that they read the house rules, the first thing he did was park his aging SUV in the yard, on the lawn, which is a violation of our rules. It is never ok to park a vehicle on someone else's lawn, we have it professionally maintained. The guest then moved his SUV to the driveway where it permanently damaged our cement when the dilapidated vehicle leaked enormous amounts of oil. This guest then tampered with the outside security system, in violation of the house rules and added multiple guests to the reservation without seeking permission or remitting payment for them. The children of the guests ripped open the radon sheet in the cold cellar because they were "curious" about what was there, even though a posted sign states please do not touch. Additionally, the adult guests permanently broke the bed frame in the master bedroom, which had no damage prior to the guests arrival. We incurred the expense of buying a new bed frame due to their negligence. The coffee maker glass craft was broken and several dishware and cutlery missing after their check out. Trash day as well as all our house rules and helpful information is posted in the house rules, and the guests simply did not read them, even though it was provided digitally as well as a physical binder on the coffee table. Cleaning this property required over 5 hours and 4 employees due to the extreme uncleanliness of their stay. This guest group displayed a total lack of respect for others belongings. We are super hosts on other platforms without any negative reviews in 10 years, and this guest simply wasn't a good one from the beginning, and at any point thereafter. Sadly, we would not recommend this guest to any hosts in the future, nor is he welcome back to our property.
