Separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer is shared with one other guest in a second apartment. TV with Netflix and a record player and vintage albums. Workspace includes a desk and oversized leather office chair and high speed internet. Luxurious bathroom. Plenty of storage! Outdoor seating area and fenced yard perfect for dog play area. Barbecue grill. Walkable neighborhood with sidewalks and a park/river nearby. Central location --- downtown, oil center and major hospitals less than 10 minutes away.

You will have off-street parking in a well-lighted area and a keyless entry into a locked and fenced compound. The Sanctuary Studio is at the rear of the property with trees and gardens.

Please observe a quiet time from 9PM -9AM. Smoking is not allowed inside but is ok outside in the seating area and by the fire pit in the backyard. We sometimes allow guests to bring a pet. If you have an interest in bringing your dog, please contact me with the breed, weight and age of your pet prior to finalizing your booking.

There is an additional pet accommodation fee of $66 Please insure that your pet is on flea treatment. If we discover that a flea treatment is needed, we will charge $300. Sometimes fleas don't show up until month after the pet leaves. We ask that you bring covers for the 2 sofas and the bed. Dogs are not allowed to sleep in the bed.. If you are planning on leaving your pet home alone, you need to provide a kennel for your dog.

It is important that you maintain control of your animal in the outdoor area, which may necessitate that your dog be on a least. Please communicate with the guest in the adjacent apartment about how to be accommodating to each guests needs in the shared spaces.

The barbecue area and larger yard and fire pit are also shared. This is an area where guests from both apartments may use to walk or exercise a dog. Please scoop poop immediately. It is important that you maintain control of your dog and use a leash. If two dogs are on the property at one time, we require that only one dog be in the yard at a time.

We have two cats who live at the Birdhouse. They are likely to try to intimidate your dog! We have neighboring dogs and going close to the fence line may be problem and cause them to act defensively. You will need to insure that your dog does not bark in the back yard, since this may disturb the other guests. A park on the Vermillion River is also within walking distance.

One dog or cat is allowed. To determine if your pet is a good match for our guesthouse, please tell us the breed, weight and age of your dog. Do you have a portable kennel/crate? Does your dog have his own bed? With cats just mention if it is litter box trained.

If you plan on leaving your pet home alone, you will need to provide a crate. Dogs are not allowed on beds or sofas without a protective cover. Just ask me for assistance. We want you and your pet to be comfortable and we want to insure that we are prepared for our next guest to have a space that does not have residual pet hair or pet odors.
