Strong mildew smell inside the caboose. I understand that the property is old and this happens in old properties. The properry was clean but the smell was througout.

What a jewel. If you like trying different every now and then, Train Wreck Inn is for you. A unique experience that walks you back in time. And thats not a bad thing. Super clean and well maintained property. Our only regret is that we just had a 1 night layover. Could have used a couple of days here to take the entire experince in, which includes experiencing the local sights and sounds. Highly recommend.

I stayed in the yellow caboose and it was absolutely charming. It’s perfect for a couple or for a single traveler. The kitchen and space was well equipped. The bathroom was modern and clean. However, the local tap water did run brown after a thunderstorm the following morning, which is not uncommon for this area. I contacted the owner and he brought me more drinking water right away and asked if we needed anything else. The water cleared up within a couple of hours so it was really not a big deal or impact to my stay. The outdoor area was super quaint and spacious. I especially loved the walkway and whole landscaping. I found the Hive Market next door and a few other charming spots in the town during my stay. I highly recommend this little country inn for anyone who wants a unique experience that comes with Southern charm and hospitality!

We love this day at the caboose. Walking up to the caboose, looking like you were walking on a railroad track was great people outside at the train depot were talking and waving to us. The check-in was very easy, interior was well designed and comfortable. We were able to relax and enjoy our night rest before our Saturday excursion. Thank you very much.

Everything!!! I highly recommend this place. The grounds are accommodating with covered decking, lights, fire pit, heater, hammock, cornhole , etc.Loved the decor of the caboose and was surprised of the space. Bed was very comfy and loved that there was a little noise maker. I also got to check out the blue train, trading post, and the depot as well. Everything was awesome and tastefully done!
