About this property

Ultra-modern in old walls, view of the stork's nest

The listed building dates from 1677 and was once used as a farrier. Before the bypass was built, it was an important traffic route. Pilgrims, travelers on horseback or in carriages passed it, and some stopped in the neighboring inn, changed horses or had the blacksmith shod them. The house, which was in danger of collapsing, was restored by the current owner and is used by him as a holiday home.

Die Alte Schmiede ist ein Kleinod der Architektur. Eine wunderbare Kombination aus dem alten Charme des Gebäudes und modernen Stilelementen. Wir waren verliebt von ersten Moment an. In solchen Momenten habe ich mir schon als Kind viel Geld gewünscht, nur um alte Gebäude aus ihrem Dornröschenschlaf zu erwecken. Das stelle ich mir sehr erfüllend vor. Danke Herr Rost, Sie haben das vollbracht. Wir waren ganze zwei Wochen hier und haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen. Die Umgebung ist sehr ansprechend. Wir empfehlen Kulmbach. Sehr schöne historische Stadt mit toller Festung. Die Obernsees Therme macht auch richtig Spaß. Mit vielen Saunen und zwei lustigen Rutschen ist für jeden was dabei. Und der Lehrpfad mit Niedrigseilgarten an der Waldhütte (Muckenreuth gerade hoch in den Wald) ist auch was für die Seele. Ein toller Wald. Und die nächsten Besucher nach uns sollten unbedingt den Biergarten im Bräuwerk Neudrossenfeld besuchen. Wir können den Fränkischen Sauerbraten und das Bier „Löschwerk“ sehr empfehlen. Bier ist sowieso ein Muss in dieser Bierbrauregion. Kulmbach riecht manchmal sogar nach Hefe. Uns hat es hier wirklich sehr gut gefallen. Und unserer besonderer Dank geht an Maria, die alles im Haus blitzeblank vor und nachbereitet hat. So kann auch mal eine Mama guten Gewissens Urlaub machen. Dankeschön und alles Gute für Sie und Ihre Familie. Wir wünschen der Alten Schmiede immer gute und respektvolle Bewohner. Das hat sie verdient. Liebe Grüße von Familie Tannenberger

Schöner Aufenthalt in einem schön renovierten Denkmal

Die Lage ist sehr gut mit guter Busanbindung nach Bayreuth (Haltestelle gleich um die Ecke). Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und sehr gute Brauereigaststätte vor Ort. Die vorbildlich renovierte Alte Schmiede hat viel Atmosphäre. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Eine wunderschön renovierte, alte Schmiede erwartet einen in der ländlichen Umgebung von Altdrossenfeld. Wertige Möbel und stilvolle Accessoires zusammen mit einer großzügigen Raumaufteilung passen zum Stil des denkmalgeschützten Hauses und vermittelt dem Gast eine behagliche Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Eine alte Schmiede, sehr schön restauriert

Es war bereits unser zweiter Aufenthalt in dem Haus und alles war bestens. Schöne Auenlandschaft mit Störchen und gut gelegen zwischen Kulmbach und Bayreuth, in 15 Minuten erreichbar. Das Haus ist wunderschön für etwas größere Menschen, wegen Treppe und Stufen (historische Schmiede) für Kleinkinder weniger geeignet. Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert. Detlef Friedrich

Gemütliche und sehr gepflegte Unterkunft

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der alte Schmiede. Das Haus wurde mit viel Geschmack renoviert, ist geräumig und bittet alles, was man so benötigt. Die Küche ist ordentlich ausgestattet. Die ganze Unterkunft ist top sauber. In der Nähe konnten wir schöne Spaziergänge und Wanderungen unternehmen. Zu empfehlen sind der Rot-Main-Auen-Rundgang, der in Altdrossenfeld durchkommt und der Rundgang Waldhütte-Teufelsloch (https://www.fraenkische-schweiz.com/detail/id=5f13fe07d5e6be051d0a84d3). Sie haben auch unseren 10-jährigen Sohn begeistert.

Helle und gemütliche Ferienwohnung

Die Fewo ist wirklich sehr sauber. Alles ist vorhanden, lediglich einen Hocker im Bad habe ich vermisst. Die Mischung aus modern und uralt ist gelungen. Man ahnt die alte Schmiede und hat gleichzeitig allen Komfort. Die Umgebung ist wunderschön, besonders in den Auen am Roten Main. Ich habe mich lange nicht mehr so gut erholt!

Ein schönes Domizil

Das Haus, eine alte Schmiede, ist wunderschön restauriert. Es macht Freude in dem Haus zu wohnen, eine gelungene Balance zwischen alt und neu. Hervorzuheben, die Auenlandschaft am Roten Main mit vielen Störchen und keine Windräder am Horizont. Nur Bayern Klassik habe ich nicht gefunden.
