Second time at Cabin. Great place. Jamie was fantastic guiding us throughout the whole process. unfortunately was only one fishing week vacation. We definitely recommend and we are definitely coming back soon. Thanks a million for everything
Perfect places for a getaway. Super clean with plenty of amenities. Was a great place for all ages with plenty of space indoors and lots to do outdoors. Kayaks and canoes were great and super easy to get to. Swimming deck made it easy for kids to get in and out of the lake. Fire pit was a great place to end each day. Would highly recommend staying here
Place was very clean, comfortable beds, and well stocked. All the watercraft available, great firepit, and private dock made this a great place to hang with friends.
We were looking for a cozy relaxing stay and that’s exactly what we got! We went fishing, kayaking (kayaks came as part of the amenities), and stayed in to enjoy the amenities in the house! The best part was the private lake just a walk away and the property manager was so pleasant and accommodating! Would absolutely recommend this location to any one looking for a gateway.
We were a group from Maine that came down to the area to fish the salmon run. The house was nice location, quiet we were not clear that it was off grid till we got there but the house suited our needs just fine.
We loved our stay. 10 women, 1 shower, no wifi or internet and a generator. What could go wrong? Nothing! It was perfect and Jamie was so quick to assist with any questions we had at any time up to and during our stay. I would absolutely stay here again!

Thank you for your feedback. I was waiting for your response through VRBO direct message to discuss your issues with you further, but I haven't heard back from you in some time. I can address your issues here to clarify a few things.
As far as the WI-FI, We plan to look into getting Wi-Fi/internet in the future as this would be a great opportunity for our guests to be able do computer work, etc while away.
However, there is no listing on our VRBO property that states this property has Wi-Fi/ internet.
Additionally, I contacted VRBO after our phone discussion as you were adamant that you saw it on our listing. I wanted to make sure it was not somewhere that maybe I wasn't seeing it.
VRBO verified that it is not listed as an amenity anywhere on our property listing.
This is an off the grid cabin powered by generator in a peaceful serene area which the listing clearly states. All the Amenities are listed.
Secondly, as far as the sewar backup, there could be a couple different reasons this may have happened during your particular stay. Our staff who were on site during your early arrival stated that one of the parties in your group parked off the designated parking area and not on the driveway and drove over the septic holding tank that is on the hill. The security driveway camera confirmed this.
There were large mud ruts left all over the yard. Additionally the toilet was clogged with toilet paper in the upstairs bathroom after you left.
Lastly, you inquired prior to your stay if you could have early check in at 12 noon. I kindly responded in the message back that we had guests leaving that same day at 11am and we could not unfortunately accommodate early check in for your group.
The cleaner was coming shortly after the last guests to start turning over the property that sleeps 10.
This takes several hours to properly disinfect, change and re-apply new sheets, etc.
You decided to come early anyway regardless of our previous messages through VRBO about early check in.
You dropped all your bags at the cabin,
overwhelming the cleaner as she was trying to prepare for your groups stay. Additionally,
It was the cleaners first day there as well which was another reason why I refrained from allowing early check in. I wanted to make sure she had ample time to make it an enjoyable stay for your entire group.
Furthermore, the ongoing level of disrespect to our property unfortunately has me questioning your groups return in the future.
There were broken beer bottles all around the fire pit and cigarette ashes all over our non-smoking property. There is a certain level of respect guests should consider when staying at someone's property as property owners work hard to maintain for other guests. This clearly didn't seem to be the case in your situation and basic house rules were not followed.
We enjoyed being off the grid. We did some fishing, we used the canoe and kayaks and we used the fire ring a lot. The cabin was cozy. The only thing that we weren't thrilled about was the trash removal. It was a bit of a job and added some time to our already long drive. But overall we loved the cabin and the amentities.
Everything on the property was as described. Beautiful setting. it is off the grid for a peaceful getaway. If you do need to have a little more electricity you’ll have to get some gas for the generator. It was not difficult to use. We simply had someone that needed to use a CPAP machine at night so we had to run the generator a little more.
Great communications with owners. Would not hesitate to rent again

Thank you very much for the feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay!
The house was really nice and owners were super responsive. We ended up being in the house quite a bit so had to buy gas several times for the generator. The refrigerator is a camp style (smaller then a normal fridge) which we didn’t know so we also had to make a few trips to get ice for coolers. The lake was pretty small, not really ideal for swimming. Having use of the kayaks and paddle boats was nice. We enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit and enjoyed the screened in porch. The house itself was kid friendly but there wasn’t much for younger kids to do.
Overall good place to hang with friends if you don’t mind being “off the grid”.
The property itself was great. We had the opportunity to use the kayaks and the fire pit. We definitely liked the house and it’s surroundings. There was plenty of space . We found that garbage and recyclables added up quickly if you are staying more than 2 days. We were cooking 3 meals a day. Our suggestion is you put information in iabout the place that you can buy 10 bags for )20.00 at the Pulaski Transfer Station. Also there is no place to keep the garbage until you transport it somewhere. We had to refill the g 5 gallon gas container 4
Times because we had to be indoors2/1/2 days with rain The bed in the loft is a full size bed not a queen size. It needs to be noted that if you have a CPAP machine , the generator has to run during the night. We feel we should not be charged for extra gasoline to fill the generator., after the first refill.

Peaceful and comfortable off the grid cabin...everything we needed for our annual trip...would stay there again... thank you for sharing your cabin with us.
Our family purchased our first vacation rental several years ago. We have made a tremendous amount of upgrades and are now ready to share it with guests when we can not be there. We love to travel and explore new areas.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this Off the grid Lake House to get away from the every day hustle and bustle of life. We come to relax and enjoy quality time with our family and friends. We want to share our space with others who are looking for the same type of experience. It is a beautiful and serene environment.
What makes this property unique
This chalet style home overlooking the lake is what we first fell in love with as we entered this home. There is tranquility being surrounded by water and the sounds of nature make it even more relaxing. You can hear the brook running alongside The property making this an overall relaxing atmosphere. This off the grid Chalet is entirely powered by generator with an easy on/off switch. This is another unique feature to our cabin which is not only energy efficient but also living off the grid lifestyle has shown to improve overall happiness and mental health with being able to “disconnect” with the hustle and bustle of work and every day life and sit back and relax and enjoy the tranquility of nature with yourself, friends or family.
