Ocean View Coral - Private Beach Resort

Our OCEAN VIEW CORAL SUITE is on the upper floor and offers an unforgettable view of the kilometer-long white beach and the crystal clear, turquoise sea. Completed in winter 2017, our Ocean View Coral Suite is equipped with exclusive Caribbean-style furnishings. The spacious living room gives you direct access to the terraces, garden and beach and is connected to an American style with an open integrated kitchen and dining room.

The 2 bedrooms have a large king-size double bed in the master bedroom, a queen-size double bed with sea view and are each equipped with their own comfortable bathroom. All bedrooms have their own air conditioning. There is also a sofa in the living room, which can also be converted into a spacious king-size double bed.

Each resort is equipped with its own washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer and ice machine, microwave, electric stove with oven. TV, WI-FI and telephone are also available.

From the partially covered balcony terraces of the Ocean View Suite you can enjoy a wonderful view of the ocean and the diverse vegetation of the Cat Islands. And the in-house beach access takes you directly to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

To the south, the beach stretches over 4 km, to the north 8 km. The color of the sand is mostly snow-white, but also pink-white in some places, due to the corals in the water. In the immediate vicinity of the beach you will find reefs with countless colorful fish of all sizes when diving or snorkeling. With a bit of luck, you can even spot some sea creatures such as stingrays or giant turtles, even from the beach.

A slice of paradise

This is the second year we have stayed at the property. Rainer was very quick to reply on questions and very accommodating. The property is spacious, well equipped, and very clean. The views are stunning and the beach is great. The snorkeling right out the front of the property is great with lots of fish and other sea creatures. I can't wait to go back!

A dream

We stayed in the White Ocean Coral Villa from April 22nd to 30th, 2023. From the upper floor we had a breathtaking view of a deserted dream beach and the turquoise sea. The beach invites you to walk for miles. If you want to relax in clean and comfortable accommodation and fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the sea then this is the place to be. If we had any questions, we could always turn to Rainer in confidence. The locals are of a cordiality that we have rarely encountered in the world. Thanks again to Rainer and Coco. If possible we would like to return.

Beautiful Ocean View Coral

The ocean view is the trump card of Ocean View Coral. The living area (kitchen, dining table comfy seating) all share an unobstructed view of powder white sand beach, gorgeous blue water dotted with coral formations and palm trees and sea grass along the sand dunes. The expansive ocean facing deck runs the full width of the villa and can be accessed from the 2 spacious ensuite bedrooms as well as the living area. Another plus is the restaurant at Greenwood Resort which is a 20 minute walk along the beach or 5 minute drive. We enjoyed several dinners there and took a great snorkel trip with Antoine.The villa is well equipped and well maintained, although it needs a generator. We were without power 2 mornings, which meant no water from the taps. I would advise arranging with Lana the property manager to have the villa pre-stocked with groceries and water or shop in New Bight immediately when you land. Driving is a challenge due to road conditions. But the endless beach, beautiful ocean and stunning sunrises in front of Ocean View Coral and the beautiful people of Cat Island made our trip unforgettable.

Perfect relaxing place

Cat Island is our favorite island so far. We visit the Bahamas yearly, and Cat Island stood out because of its untouched, peaceful beaches—perfect for recharging. **The location** The east shore of the island is remote, with stunning beaches, ideal for family time. **The house** Ocean View Coral lives up to its name—right on the beach with pink sand and coconut trees stretching for miles. We stayed upstairs. I’m an early riser, enjoying my coffee while reflecting on yesterday and planning today. Watching the sun rise over the ocean, breathing in the clean air, was the perfect way to start the day—100/100 for the experience. The house is in one of the best spots on the island. It was clean, spacious, filled with windows, and had a great yard for our Golden Retriever to enjoy. **Recommendations** Make a solid grocery list, including basics, since the kitchen cabinets were empty and the nearest store is too far for quick trips. I’d pay 100 for a basic cooking supply option since a grocery run takes two hours. **Car rental** Lana was very helpful. She quickly replaced our rental when I called about a wheel issue. Test your rental before heading to the house, as a round-trip for a replacement takes two hours. I highly recommend Ocean View Coral and Lana’s car rental business. We will definitely consider coming back for 25/26 holidays vacation.

Advertised as a Premier Property, We expected More . .

We booked this property, in part, due to its "Premier Property' designation. Overall, our impression is that the property has great potential but has been seriously neglected from a maintenance perspective for some time. We couldnt close and lock the outside door properly - it was broken, there was a flood from the blowing wind and rain during one night, we awoke to the bedroom and living areas were flooded. We are very aware that power goes out, we have visited (7) of the out islands over the past 10 years, and all but this villa had flashlite(s) and batteries for lights when the power goes out. This unit did not. The water pressure to the shower(s) was limited. The sheets had stains and were clearly well worn. The power to the AC unit outside is literally connected via black electrical tape, in our opinion, a potential fire hazard. Working with the Manager and Owner was good but there were just too many maintenance issues to rate this any higher.Finally, not under the control of the owner but in full disclosure in the VRBO description, the poor state of the rocky, pot holed road should really be mentioned. Driving the last few miles to the villa is treacherous.
