The stay was great. Enjoyed the coziness of the house. The house was clean in some areas, but lacked in others. It was a great location. I would stay again.
Second time staying here. Wonderful place for a weekend get away. Will stay again.

Very cute home, and great location. However, the hallway bathroom shower didn’t have hot water. There was no hand soap at 2/3 sinks. No clear identifier for house number upon arrival, which made it difficult as we arrived at night. Some doors didn’t stay shut, and we had to use shoes to keep closed. There was no scrub brush for dishes or dish soap. It’s not the we didn’t enjoy our stay, but a lot of things that could be fixed.

The location is great and the house is not in bad shape, plenty of room for a medium size family. There's good parking space, it has the necessary tools needed to cook a meal, very comfortable sofas and the beds are comfortable. It would had been great however, doors do not close, the bottom of the curtains in the master bathroom had the pink bacterial build up, the first day the floors were dirty so when we walked barefoot, our feet turned black, there is a smell throughout the house that indicates that they either use dirty water to mop or there is dry spills somewhere, the wifi turned off after the first day so we couldn't watch tv or work on our laptop. Besides the cleanliness and the wifi, not bad.
Easy to get to and owner is responsive and communicative. One of our party did not like their bed, but the showers made up for it. Very reasonably priced as well.
My elderly mother and I had an overnight for a Dr. appt, and this was perfect for our stay. I appreciated Roy's communication even though he was going through a burst frozen pipe situation. Will definitely stay again if available. Thanks!!
It’s not new or fancy, but priced accordingly. It was perfectly located for a race we were doing at the college across the street. Checkout instructions came late. He graciously moved our check out time later to allow us to shower after the race.
The beds were comfortable. Everything else just seemed worn out or a leftover from the owner’s home. Towels weren’t taken out of the dryer. The refrigerator was filthy. It had an open storage area for most of the cooking items and had I wanted to cook as I usually do in a VRBO, I would have had to scrub everything. Filthy, dusty & gross. I hope the cleaning service he referenced starts doing a better job.

On the listing said there was a king bed in the master/bedroom was only 2 full size and 2 twins. The master bedroom the ledge above the master sink was a layer of dust. Not enough towels or toilet paper for a family of 4.

Disappointed
I have stayed in VRBOs all over the United States and Europe and have never stayed in a house that people actually lived there when the house was not being rented. I thought that was Air B&B that did that, and is the reason that I never look at Air B&B websites. The house wasn’t clean, floors had not been swept, refrigerator full of food so it was very difficult to find a place to put ours. Some dirty things in the sink Cabinet tops not clean. The island looked like someone had been eating there. The kitchen was lacking very many dishes, glasses, pans. We bought paper plates and cups to eat on. The bathroom floors were gross, especially behind the doors! I wouldn’t take a shower. The owners personal junk was spread through out the house. There were very few towels none of them matched and they looked at least twenty years old. In the dining room was a huge dog crate that took up most of the eating space. In my bathroom there were only two face cloths. I must say though that the beds were extremely comfortable. Also, the man I dealt with could not have been nicer. When I would write and ask him questions, he always answered promptly which I appreciated. I am just sorry I never thought to ask if there were people living in the house! This is not a standard VRBO house..

Hi there- thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, and I’d like to personally apologize that your stay wasn’t up to our standards. That’s disappointing to hear and I’d like to add that’s it’s certainly not the norm. None of the items mentioned were intended to be present during your stay and I apologize for the oversight on our part.
No one lives in the house- however we did have a family stay for an extended time while their home in Lubbock was under construction. Unfortunately their house wasn’t completed at the time of your stay so we made other arrangements for for them but were unable to clear as much of their belongings as we needed to.
But feedback both positive and negative helps us grow as a business so I do appreciate the review and sincerely apologize that we bit off more than we could chew that weekend and your stay didn’t live up to the standards we hold ourselves to week in and week out.
Everything went so smooth. The property layout was exactly what I needed. The open concept was great. I hosted Thanksgiving dinner for family and friends on a Monday and things went great! The backyard was perfect for the family dog and we even brought our own firepit for after dinner S'Mores. Everyone had a great time!
