We were there for a hiking/ rock climbing trip so we didn't spend much time at shops. The kitchen had what we needed for cooking breakfast and light dinners.

Thank you for the feedback! We are glad you enjoyed your time in the area hiking & climbing. We hope to see you again!
Very cute little rental for our stay. Close to everything we wanted to do. Fire pit was a plus for something to do in the evenings. Shower was a little small for my husband (6’2” 265 lbs). No WiFi which made it difficult to map to places, but not a deterrent to stay again.
This cottage is cute and cozy. The pictures are a bit misleading though. It overlooks a highway in the back and a less busy road in the front. Also there is no DVD player as of our stay in April 2026, despite the listing saying so. That aside, we enjoyed the spring flowers and rolling hills from the front porch. We also loved how close it was to all of the hikes we wanted to do.

I liked how it was quiet and close to the gorge and it was close to smaller places to get a bite to eat and not to far from grocery and easy to get around since I lost cell service first day down there. Would def go back.

The house was very clean and had everything we needed to prepare meals for our 3 day stay. A bit more cabinet space for food would be nice as I don't like to put food in a bottom cabinet where mice might be present (although we didn't see any). Checkout instructions weren't very clear but we saw the drop box at the office.I would stay here again. Nice, quiet and comfortable.

A nice place with a perfect location for all things RRG or Natural Bridge. Its a bit of a trip back in time style and comfort wise but its location and proximity to everything is awesome. Id stay again for sure.

We went to the gorge for Valentine's Day weekend and although the weather was terrible and we couldn't get out for any hiking, we had a lovely time. The cottage was the perfect place to cook meals, spend quality time playing games, and it's close to a coffee/ice cream shop and restaurant with love music

Thank you for your kind review. We are always thankful when our guests enjoy their time in our cabins (even though the weather didn't cooperate)!
This was exactly as advertised. Simple, relaxing cottage close to most everything. The stay is quiet and the road noise is only noticeable outside the cottage; once inside you don’t hear it.

Key pickup was no problem. Nice home-base for day hiking in the park; tho located on a state route, the parkway runs just behind so noise might be an issue during warmer months. The bigger bed is not a queen... (nor is it a king). The shower is not suitable for tall or big people

Our stay
The house had a strong mildew smell. The TV wouldn’t work because it wouldn’t connect to Wi-Fi.

We're sorry that the house had a mildew smell. It's a common thing with the temps outside being very hot and humid.
The cabin does not have wi-fi, the listing does mention this, only antenna TV.
Great location to area. Great for couple or small family. Kitchen is bare bones without dish washer. Shower is tiny and no fan in bathroom. We had a great stay and would stay again. The power went out due to storm and I would recommend some candles. Enjoyed hiking and ‘The Brick’ Ice Cream Shop just down the road. The Sky Bridge Station has great dogs and burgers. Hops is another great place to eat. Daniel Boone Coffee shop has wonderful coffe and breakfast.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and that the cabin worked well for your visit. It really is a great location for exploring the area, and we love hearing that you had a chance to check out some of the local favorites — The Brick, Sky Bridge Station, Hops, and Daniel Boone Coffee Shop are all excellent picks!
We appreciate your feedback about the kitchen and bathroom. While the cabin is more of a simple, cozy setup, your suggestions are helpful and will be passed along.
3-night stay. House was comfortable and quiet. It's old and dated, so don't expect anything technology-wise. Location is great for visiting RRG. Bonus is it's just a couple hundred yards from The Brick (coffee, ice cream). Since the listing stated there was a DVD player, we took some old movies for "a rainy day," but found there is no DVD player -- just a Roku TV, which is ironic since there is no wifi. Cell signal was OK.

This was such a cute place! Secluded from neighbors on all sides. Sits on a road with some cars that wave at you on the front porch. Extremely close to an ice cream coffee shop and a rustic bar/restaurant. Very close to Creation Falls and the road leads directly to the scenic loop. Off exit 40. You check in at exit 33 and get your key and then drive to exit 40 to the cottage. ELL reception is ok at cottage. It does not have a dvd player as advertised! Met the owner and she was very sweet.

Thank you so much for the kind and detailed review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the cozy, secluded feel of the cottage. It really is a special spot tucked away just off Exit 40.
Thank you as well for noting the check-in process at Exit 33, glad everything went smoothly. We appreciate the heads-up about the DVD player and will update the listing to avoid any confusion for future guests.
It was a pleasure having you, and we're so glad you had the chance to meet the owner—she’ll be happy to hear your kind words. We hope to see you again soon!
This cabin is so very close to everything you might want to do: kayaking, hiking, zip lining, horseback riding, and the Gorge Underground. 3 of us came for an extended Girl's Weekend and had a blast. The host was very responsive to any needs we had. Tips: at the time of our trip the TV would not work (no WiFi connection) nor was there a DVD player. That didn't bother us as we were busy exploring the area. The one afternoon we were "rained out" we just spent the time playing board games!Things to bring: extra trash bags, spices, can opener, wine opener, paper towels, games, and a beach towel if you plan on any water activities. Check In and Check Out were a breeze!
My cousin and I had been talking about going on small getaway. This was her first trip away from her son and the gorge was the perfect distance for her. We're both local to the area and grew up going to RRG. We both love it there. Long story short, the cottage was great for our 3 night stay. We enjoyed the backporch and had our meals out there, along with enjoying the firepit and backyard. The cottage was within distance of everything we wanted to do. We plan on making this an annual trip. The cottage grew on us!
