This was perhaps the most perfectly maintained villa I have ever stayed in. All details taken care of, staff excellent, Location perfect (5 min drive to town) Ocean and beachfront with loungers on beach. Perfectly private. Warm pool, New floats, etc. Great place. You can’t go wrong with Sandcastle

Sandcastle Villa Exceeded All Expectations!

We just returned from an amazing week at Sandcastle Villa. Everything about the villa and service deserves 5+ stars, truly. Our group consisted of 2 families (4 adults, 5 kids), and we were looking for somewhere special to kick off summer following a crazy year. None of us had been to Anguilla before so we had A LOT of questions prior to booking. Ingrid, the owner, was totally responsive and thorough in her communications - it was so refreshing to work with someone that professional and who clearly cares so much about her guest's experience. After booking, Carlin, our local concierge, helped us with everything from activities to restaurant reservations, transportation, pre-arrival and in-residence grocery stocking, etc. allowing us to relax the minute we arrived. The villa itself is just incredible. It's literally a private mini resort. The owners spared no expense decorating the villa beautifully (yet comfortable), and it was stocked with literally everything you could want/need during your stay - fully stocked kitchen with high-end appliances, beach towels/toys, snorkel gear, fishing rods, paddle boards and kayaks, full fitness room - they thought of everything! We split time between the incredible beach (with swimmable ocean access) and the pool. The housekeepers/staff are incredible and kept the villa spotless every day, and proactively did our laundry, made snacks, and even braided our daughter's hair one day! I'd also recommend using Chef Tyrone for at least a few meals while there. We had two beautiful pool-side sunset dinners catered by him and he's just phenomenal. I could go on and on about our experience, but the bottom line is Sandcastle truly delivers on everything in the listing, and you should do yourself a favor an book it for your Anguilla vacation!

Palatial Experience!

The Villa itself was everything it appeared to be from the pictures. It was palatial and extraordinary! It was very well kept and the housekeeping staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The only negative was the approach to the Villa itself. The area was less than expected and the road was not in great shape. However, I think that this is often common on islands. In addition, there was a very large abandoned construction project right next door that was an eye sore and unfortunate (not shown in pictures!). I point these out only due to the expense of the Villa and was surprised at both. All said it was a stay to remember.

Absolutely spectacular!

In March of 2018, my husband & I spent a week at Sandcastle Villa at Limestone Bay on Anguilla with our son, his wife & their 8-year-old twins. It is, without a doubt, one of the most phenomenal villas in the Caribbean! The home itself is warm & welcoming with king beds, ensuite bathrooms & high-end furnishings & linens in each of the four bedrooms. Common areas are luxuriously appointed yet maintain a family ambience; the property offers both sunny & shaded spots for quiet solitude as well as open communal areas to enjoy the company of other guests. Sandcastle is the perfect escape for all ages with its indoor & outdoor activities: a kids' lounge with games; a fenced playground area; a secluded sand beach with water toys galore; an infinity pool; numerous deck umbrellas & chairs; a poolside bar & grill; a gorgeous garden replete with hummingbirds & geckos; a relaxing outdoor "Zen Den" with a pillowed daybed swing & beach bathroom; WiFi & Sonos. The two SUV's that were provided with the home allowed us to explore the island while the entry gate added to our sense of security. We were able to truly spend a carefree week on the island due to the efforts of Mercedes & Maria, two housekeepers extraordinaire! They inconspicuously cooked, cleaned, washed our clothing & smiled for us; no request was too large & they even willingly babysat for the children one evening. The 24/7 availability of our concierge also streamlined our efforts for dinner reservations, additional chef services, pre-arrival groceries & island activities. While all of these tangible features helped to make our stay on Anguilla phenomenal, the memories that we will recall in the years to come are more intangible---the magical sunsets across the water's horizon as viewed from the terrace; the thunderous crashing of the waves as they made their way down the coast to our villa; the indomitable spirit, friendliness & sense of hope of the island's people; & the special moments shared with our family. The hurricane-shattered homes found throughout Anguilla are testaments to the powerful, and sometimes destructive character of Mother Nature. The fact that Sandcastle made it through the storms with relatively little damage is evidence of its sound construction and, perhaps, a sign that it has been blessed in some uncanny way. Whatever the reason for its survival, we hope to someday make our way back to this absolutely spectacular place!

It is difficult to avoid hyperbole when describing Sandcastle, but in short, it embodies the ultimate paradise-island villa holiday. Long before our arrival, Ingrid - and her excellent concierge Kenroy - had smoothed the way with lots of great advice about getting to the island and recommendations of places to eat and shop when on it. Sandcastle is one of those rare places where the photos do not do justice to the reality - they do not capture the cool hush of the interior, which manages to be grand and intimate at the same time. Nor do they capture the unbelievable sweep of the ocean, visible from all rooms, or the gorgeous secluded beach, or the colonial verandah, or the sundeck and infinite pool, and so on. Sandcastle really does deliver. However, the hospitality is greatly enhanced by the wonderful housekeepers, Mercedes and Maria, who between them provide a true 5* experience which is both discreet and charming. It must be said that Mercedes, aided by Maria, is also an excellent - and professional - chef, whose cerviche is easily the equal of anywhere in London or New York. All this conspires to make it hard to find a good reason to ever leave the villa, though Anguilla itself is a real find - no mass-tourism, a 1960s pace of life, genuine and friendly locals, warm sea and the best beaches in the Caribbean. A huge thank you to Ingrid, Phillippe, Mercedes and Maria for an unforgettable experience.

If I could give 100 stars I would!

I write this review back in reality, missing the dream that is Sandcastle Villa so very much. This house is everything and more. Beautifully decorated, sparkling clean (and kept this way every day!), located on as close to a private beach as you could ever hope to have, full of all the comforts of a fine resort- this is the ultimate dream getaway. The owners of the home were lovely to work with- they are prompt in responding with any details or specifics you may need, and went out of their way to ensure we were completely taken care of while we rented their home. Mercedes and Maria, the two wonderful ladies who keep the villa spotless and the guests so happy, are two of the most wonderful, hardworking, and kind people I've ever had the privileged to know. If you are considering hiring a private chef- look no further than Mercedes! She is immensely talented in the kitchen and kept us overly full and completely impressed with her fine island cooking. They made our stay even better with their impeccable service and lovely dispositions. I could go on and on, but instead I will just say this: if you are looking for a villa to rent on the island, RENT THIS ONE! If you are thinking of booking at one of Anguilla's lovely hotels or resorts (as we have done many times in the past) DON'T! RENT THIS VILLA! You will not be sorry. There's absolutely nothing else like it. We will most certainly be back just as soon as possible.
