The location is great. You can walk to downtown easily. The beds are comfortable and you have most everything you need. There are a few stairs to enter the home as it is in the basement. The apartment has a lot of natural light and lots of closet space. We contacted the Host a couple of times and his response was immediate. The shower is small but with good water pressure.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
The place is not quite what was shown on the listing. The "courtyard" is a large alley with lots of graffiti. The steps diwn to this basement apartment are close to dangerous. The bathroom light only stayed on for a short time, then you had to either wait, keep trying the switch or be in the dark. We were warned about the upstairs noise but not to the extent that we were awakened several times in the night and early morning. Would not stay there again. Sorry. It was clean and we walked to and from the arena so that was good.

I feel this review is unfair. The apartment is clearly labeled as a basement apartment. I have never had a guest complain about the steps. The grafiti on the building is intentional. It's why the building is called The Art House. I guess some people don't appreciate art.
I feel like these guests didn't read the listing or look at the photos when they booked this apartment, and the review is extremely unfair, as the apartment is exactly the way it looks in the photos.
As pictured and described. The host answered instantly on any messages. Everything was clean and well stocked with towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, laundry soap, dishwasher soap and kitchen essentials.
The heat takes a little while to catch up and it is a basement apartment so the floors get cold… just be prepared with socks or slippers.
It was an easy walk to the Capitol and all the downtown restaurants.
The $59 fee for trip insurance seems excessive. I can not put a $1600 dollar hold on my credit card so I paid the fee. Otherwise the apartment was quiet and clean, the TV did was not connected to anything the heater and fridge are a bit noisy but I also acknowledge I am sensitive to sound. Once unplugged the apartment was quiet from street sounds but can hear upstairs apartment activity.
I would stay there again.
