If you are looking for a vacation retreat that is tailored to both fisherman and family gatherings, you have found it! We selectively rent our little piece of paradise to others to enjoy during the times that we can't.
We began construction of our getaway several years ago, initially it was to be a small fishing escape but as family and friends began to visit we knew that we needed to build something that could accommodate more....and then it began.
The home itself was recently completed and is beautiful. Cypress siding and decks outside provide a rustic setting. The interior of the house is equally as beautiful from the custom made cabinets in the well appointed kitchen to the hand carved staircase that leads to the upstairs bedrooms and loft. The kitchen also includes a large island for enjoying meals or telling lies about the one that got away. There is a large living area that includes a flatscreen TV. Three bedrooms with ample storage and an upstairs loft provide plenty of room to sleep or escape.
The large screened in porch off the main deck is one of my favorite places to relax and watch ballgames.
The dock is massive with two covered boatslips, full electrical hookups, and even a waterslide with an electric waterpump for the kids. The water is approximately 9 ft deep at full pool and maintains 2-3 ft of water at low pool in the winter providing fisherman with access to the main parts of the lake year round.
We are not your traditional rentors as we never planned on offering it as rental property. The arrival of two new grandbabies has taken priority over weekends at the lake, so until the babies get a little older this is a great opportunity for others to enjoy what we have worked so hard to build. We look forward to hearing from you! Lyn Peppers

Great property inside and out. We enjoyed the dock and lake so much! The slide was a blast for our grandkids, and our grandson had the absolute best time fishing from the dock with grandpa. The master bath was slow to drain and big trash can was out for pick up - Lyn was responsive to this when messaged. Thank you for sharing your lovely space to relax and create priceless memories!
The house was beautiful and it had everything we needed. We made lots of great memories here. Communication with the host was great. We will definitely stay again.
I love this area and I loved this property! The house was beautiful and charming! Love the little details!! We book a lake trip here every summer and usually hop around to check out different areas of the lake but I wouldn’t mind staying here again. Great fishing hole. Caught 20 fish in all. Mostly catfish but some bass and panfish as well. Calm and peaceful lake! Bonus was we could bring our dogs. Two golden retrievers. They are our babies. Not many places allow you to bring two big dogs like this even if they are well behaved. Communication with the owner was a fast and easy experience. Super helpful and kind. Overall rate a 10/10 and hope to revisit again!!
This is our 2nd time staying here. We absolutely love this quant home with its views of the lake. Very peaceful with all the conveniences. The Peppers are very responsive as well. We will definitely be back.
The property was perfect for a getaway. We had everything we needed from the kitchen to accommodations and amenities. Being pet friendly was great! Lyn was great to work with and very helpful!
We enjoyed our stay. Home is how it is described. Owners were very easy to work with and they allow pets. We traveled with 3 large dogs and it's difficult to find places that will allow them. Tha k you!
We enjoyed the stay, it was perfect for what we needed. Could have done without the ladybug convention going on but otherwise great vacation spot for some peaceful relaxation.
Very nice house & boat dock. We had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay again.

Why they chose this property
We are from Huntsville and looked at several locations around North Alabama before settling on the Weiss Lake area. I think that the people that we met in our search in the area convinced us that we were in the right place, that compiled with the proximity to so many major cities, the beauty of the land and so many things to do and see within such a short distance made it a such a great investment.
What makes this property unique
Not only do you have the lake with all that affords but you have Little River Canyon that is a must see with all of its splendor. You also have Little Rock City where you can hike, rock climb, or watch the other fools climb and repel, a drive in movie theater that plays all the latest movies. There is rafting on Terrapin Creek, horseback riding at several venues, numerous places to eat out, all within 20 miles or so from our house.
