The host was responsive. The house was roomy and the bed (especially in the master suite was super comfy.) It's an historical home so there were a few things that still needed a little updating still but overall, it was a wonderful place. Very eclectic and charming. Clean and well stocked. We had a lovely stay!
House had a great layout and was the perfect place for all of us. The owner was very friendly and responsive and if we find ourselves in amarillo again, this house would be high on our list to look for availability.
I always enjoy traveling through Amarillo. It is always nice to stay in a house that has everything you need for a short stay. The AC was wonderful. We were traveling to Santa Fe for a 8 night stay. We often travel to Colorado too. Amarillo and VRBO homes like this make travel through Amarillo pleasant and restful.
The house is in a great location - quiet, established neighborhood but close to lots of amenities. The landscaping on the property was a bit overgrown. The back yard was large and there was furniture but the cushions were worn and dirty or missing. The house was large and spacious. It was generally clean but there was quite a bit of dust under the beds and on wall hangings. The kitchen was well equipped however an outlet near the stove was loose and the oven older. The house could be amazing with just a bit more upkeep, however, our stay was pleasant, the hosts were kind, check-in was easy. Overall, a good stay.
Checking in and out went smoothly. Communication was easy. The house was very clean, well equipped and decorated nicely. We stayed two nights and rode our ATVs for a day at a nearby park.
Everything was great here, an older home, but beautiful. The house was huge and had many older elements that made it charming. The rooms were tastefully designed and all the cabinets were fully stocked. We had a family get together here and it was the perfect location for our little get together. On top of that there was a power outage (someone hit a transformer) and the host was on the phone within minutes helping me locate the flashlights and emergency candles. Definitely will rent again!
We enjoyed our stay in this historical house in Amarillo. Everything about this house is charm and to years past and decor. I liked it and hope this house can make improvements in the ground floor level. The second floor is really well done, but me and the wife had no need for the rooms on the second floor. We enjoyed our three nights at the house on Crockett Street.

RENTER BEWARE! BAIT & SWITCH PROPERTY!Property is advertised as a 4 bedroom unit, but also says there are fees for pets and for access to the 4th room. When asked about whether or not the pet fees are included in the advertised price, owner responded with, "all fees are included". I naturally assumed that meant the additional fee for access to the 4th room was also included, but it is not included. When I asked the owner about there only being 3 rooms, they responded with the additional room rental fee and additional cleaning fee, or to use the mini futon upstairs, which was broken. I messaged the owner with my disagreance for the ethics behind their business model only to receive specs of the property in an attempt to justify their asking price. My argument was that their asking price is the same as the other 4 bedroom units I had booked throughout our family road trip, but that they're only offering 3 bedrooms. This place is not worth the money being asked for it. It honestly looks like a crackhouse from the outside with horribly overgrown landscaping outside, missing paint & rotted wood all around the outside of the house, and half accomplished backyard projects that are treacherous for children and pets. The inside is horribly worn out, even has broken blinds. It seems as if this owner bought this property, slapped some decor inside, and ignored all the actual needs of the property. As a fellow vacation property owner....I would NEVER stay here again
This is a very lovely home! It was very spacious and had a nice layout to meet everyone’s needs. It was 4th of July so the downside was fireworks until 4:30am but that’s not the owner’s fault. The upstairs air conditioning was struggling and I reached out to the property contact where we were able to work together and get it up and going again. I did love the fact that although she didn’t know me we worked together quite nicely and it wasn’t a big deal at all. I recommend OFF because of all the rain the mosquitoes were attacking but once again not the owner’s fault just something to consider if you plan on staying there. I would stay here again for sure!
Beautiful neighborhood. One minute from I-40. Large fenced in grassy yard for pets. Everything you need. Minor problem with water in shower going from hot to cold. Kitchen appliances work fine but are old. Large living room and master bedroom. Overall a great stay.
The layout of this house is great for family or other gatherings. It is charming! The appliances are outdated except for the Keurig but overall it worked for our group. Nice deck in the large backyard would be great in warm weather. It was nearly perfect for our family gathering.
