Come vacation at Kahana Sunset, a quiet, lushly landscaped, beautiful resort on secluded Keone Nui Bay. Swim from our sandy beach, snorkel with turtles, enjoy spectacular sunsets, barbecue on our outdoor built-in gas grills—all without having to leave the complex! We are ideally tucked away between busy Lahaina and elegant Kapalua Bay, close to the action but removed from the crowds and noise. We are family-friendly with a children’s pool adjoined to the adult pool.

Our two-bedroom, two-bath townhouse style unit has direct ocean views from both lanais and inside. The kitchen has granite countertops, wood cabinets, brand new stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, glass electric cooktop, microwave, and countertop convection oven. It comes fully stocked for cooking and entertaining. There is a washer/dryer in the unit with its own hot water heater. Covered parking is conveniently located right outside our door—no need to drag groceries or bags across parking lots, through lobbies, and up elevators! Our unit is ideal for families or couples as each bedroom has its own private bathroom.

We have just completed a remodel including new tile, new backsplash and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, new master bath vanity with granite countertop and wood cabinet, new master bedroom furniture, new TVs in living room and master bedroom, new ceiling fixtures, and new paint throughout.

Our family is excited to offer our condo to you. As San Diegans who have been traveling to Maui since 1980, we think this is the ideal spot to vacation. We've owned our unit since 2010.

About Liz Lindenfeld

We are a family of five from San Diego who absolutely love Maui. Michael and Liz have been visiting for more than thirty years and decided in 2010 it was finally time to buy! We love Hawaii's weather, culture, tropical beaches, hiking trails, and warm ocean. No trip to Maui is complete without scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, watching hula dancing, or dining on Hawaii's fabulous fresh fish. We named our condo 'Hale Kalela' after our three daughters, whose names translated into Hawaiian are Kelona, Lakela, and Kala.

Why Liz Lindenfeld chose Lahaina

We have always loved West Maui for its lush, tropical landscape, its small coves and bays as well as long sandy beaches, the hustle and bustle of Lahaina with its sense of history along with its restaurants and shops, and in general, the whole feel of West Maui. Kahana Sunset had all the attributes we were looking for in a vacation home. The complex is fairly small, quiet, on a secluded sandy beach, has beautifully landscaped grounds, convenient parking, and easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, hiking, and other amenities.

What makes this condo unique

We enjoy being able to swim, snorkel, kayak, watch spectacular sunsets, barbecue, and just relax without ever having to leave our complex. We also love our spacious, comfortable, remodeled two-bedroom unit where we wake up to the views and sounds of the ocean, cook in our well-appointed and well-stocked kitchen, and relax inside or outside on our ocean view lanais. Finally, we enjoy being able to walk to nearby shops and restaurants.

Paradise

My husband and I stayed in unit D5 for two weeks with our daughter, son in law and their two children ages 4 and 6. We couldn’t have had a more wonderful time. The condo was very spacious and has had recent upgrades. The bathroom sink in the master bathroom was especially lovely! There was plenty of room for both families . There is a beautiful pool and the beach is steps away. We can’t wait to book with Liz again, she was wonderful to work with.

Family-friendly, beautiful, and charming!

Our family's first trip to Maui was wonderful! We came with several families who all stayed at different places. Kahana Sunset was definitely the favorite place with easy beach access, a fun pool and beautiful grounds. We couldn't be happier with our stay and the kids called it our Hawaiian Home. We'll look forward to our next paradise adventure at Kahana Sunset.

A home away from home....

My wife, four year old son and I spent a week in Maui and chose to do so at Kahana Sunset. I don’t think we could have picked a better place.

My wife and I have always loved Maui around Christmas time - it’s so laid back and relaxing. Which is exactly what we needed after running the Honolulu marathon the day before. The only thing I hadn’t counted on was the stairs in the condo post race. However, that’s my fault.

The two story condo was recently renovated and in excellent condition when we walked in after our 45 min drive from the airport. The bedrooms with ceiling fans are located upstairs and are huge. The master bedroom had a king size and very comfortable bed, as well as a massive balcony (as did the lounge room downstairs) with a beautiful outlook of the pool, well kept gardens and the private beach and ocean. On our first day there I think we utilised all of those features as well as seeing turtles swimming just off the rocks on the private beach.

The kitchen was better than our own at home with all modern features and applicants necessary not to rely on restaurants and shops all the time (which also helps to minimise costs). The other residents in the complex were lovely too. During our first morning, a neighbour indicated she was leaving and passed on all of her left over food to us, which we reciprocated a week later to holiday makers three doors down. Napili has shops and restaurants and is a five minute walk away but we tended to utilise Kanapali being just a five drive and offering more variety (as well as the best coffee shop in Hawaii bar none).

It was a great holiday with many memories, and it was all made possible by the best condo in Maui at Kahana Sunset. 👍😎🎄

Amazing complex, wonderful room, private, beautiful and recommended 100%!

We had an amazing stay at Kahana Sunset, our unit was wonderful! The private beach, awesome courtyard & great pool was wonderful for our entire family. I loved the location, and it's a great sign when everyone you meet was personally referred to the condos. Many of them have returned multiple years and we will be one of them. Many turtles to watch, mild surf in the private cove even during winter high swells. We enjoyed this place just my husband and I for a week and then the second with our 2 daughters...great place for anyone!

Lovely slice of paradise

The grounds were impeccable (even though there was ongoing repair/construction of the sea wall) and you could tell that great care was taken in keeping everything nice. The pool was always sparkling clean and refreshing. The unit we stayed in was recently nicely remodeled and had everything we needed. Owners and staff were all very friendly and it had a nice quiet yet community-type feel. Gorgeous beach that even included sea turtles and ample snorkeling out front. Perfect sunset viewing. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly, beachfront condo with all of the amenities!

Another amazing experience

This was our 6th time staying in the D unit at Kahana Sunset. Even though there continues to be issues with the sea wall and construction is ongoing to fix it, it didn’t impact our ability to enjoy the grounds, pool or the beach. We always meet wonderful people here. Most of them are returning visitors like us,. We love this place and won’t even consider staying someplace else.
