Come vacation at Kahana Sunset, a quiet, lushly landscaped, beautiful resort on secluded Keone Nui Bay. Swim from our beach, snorkel with turtles, enjoy spectacular sunsets, barbecue on our outdoor built-in gas grills—all without having to leave the complex! We are ideally tucked away between busy Kaanapali and elegant Kapalua, close to the action but removed from the crowds and noise. We are family-friendly with a children’s pool adjoined to the adult pool.

Our two-bedroom, two-bath townhouse style unit has direct ocean views from our two lanais. The kitchen has granite countertops, solid wood cabinets, stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, glass electric cooktop, microwave, and countertop convection oven. It comes fully stocked for cooking and entertaining. There is a washer/dryer in the unit with its own hot water heater. Covered parking is conveniently located right outside our door—no need to drag groceries or bags across parking lots, through lobbies, and up elevators! Our unit is ideal for families or couples as each bedroom has its own bathroom.

We completed a remodel in 2017, including new tile flooring on the main level, new tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, new master bath vanity with granite countertop and wood cabinet, new master bedroom furniture, new TVs in living room and master bedroom, new ceiling fixtures, and new paint throughout. A/C was installed throughout the unit in March 2020.

Our family is excited to offer our condo to you. As San Diegans who have been traveling to Maui since 1980, we think this is the ideal spot to vacation. We've owned our unit since 2010.

Perfect property sunset view, was also full stock the property had all kinds of spices, foil, dishwasher soap and trash bags, toilet paper, beautiful lanais up amd down stairs and it accommodated all 7 of us it was cheaper then the hotel the host also responds fast with any questions and they also call to make sure i got the instructions upon arrival

We stayed with our family of 7. Ages 13 and up! We loved the quaint location and beautiful ocean views from this unit! It was so nice to have beach towels and chairs provided and even a little snorkeling gear. Beach is small but very swimmable. Two patios (one up and one down) provided the best views! We had the best time!

Excellent location!!

We selected this location to be close to the Plantation Course for the PGA event in January. This made it easy to commute to volunteer for the duration of the event and have access to a pool and beach for the rest of the family. There was walkable access to a shopping center with some good restaurants and local market. Will definitely consider staying again.

Beautiful week in Maui

We had an amazing time at Kahana Sunset D5. It was the perfect place for our family vacation. The unit was clean and well-stocked. The grounds were beautiful and the beach was perfect for our kids to play. We got to see the sea turtles every day of our vacation. We would definitely stay here again! The management and the owner were very responsive and helpful.

Quarters clean and comfortable. Deck was at a perfect angle to see pool and ocean comfortably while enjoying meals outside on the table. Grounds immaculate. Staff cleaned grills daily and kept all flowers, trees, grass and pool in top notch shape. So glad we stayed here!! Mahalo!! p.s. whales were jumping, and we could see sea turtles close up from the public deck.

Amazing Family Vacation Spot

Our group of 5 had a perfect stay! The unit was a perfect size and layout for us. The view from the decks was amazing and we ate all our meals outside. We used the pool and grill areas a ton and enjoyed meeting other friendly guests. The beachfront lawn chairs and pool were never crowded. While the beach area was not the best for swimming, it was fun to play in the sand and watch for sea turtles coming to feed on the rocks. The sunset view was gorgeous! The location of the unit was great for visiting multiple West Maui beaches with a short drive! We loved the small, quiet feeling of the condo community instead of a big resort! We would absolutely book again when we come back to Maui!

The view of the ocean is beautiful. Appeared the unit was in some form of cosmetic updating as the kitchen cabinets and counter tops were newer but the master bathroom vanity was old and in need of repair. There is no oven, only a toaster oven, but no cookie sheet or pan to use in it.

Awesome Stay at Kahana Sunset

Our family of 5 booked this property for our first trip to Maui and it did not disappoint. It was clean, spacious enough for our group and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the two lanais and the gorgeous views of the grounds and ocean. The grounds were well maintained and we also made use of the pool and private beach where we swam with some turtles. Liz was nice enough to provide beach chairs, an umbrella and beach towels. The parking spot was tight for a minivan but could not be more convenient as it was right in front of the door, making it easy to load and unload our stuff. We loved the location in West Maui as it was close enough to Lahaina, the Kapalua Coastal Trail, some of the best snorkeling beaches and the Nakalele blowhole. Groceries were less than a mile away. I would not hesitate to book here again!

Gorgeous view

Beautiful views off a nice balcony was definitely the best part of our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped to handle all of our cooking needs. It was very surprising there was no oven, only a small toaster oven/convection oven. The two bedrooms were great for us with the bathrooms as part of the bedrooms. Furniture could use some updating, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us. The complex has a very nice and immaculately kept grill area. And though not something the owner has control over, the parking spaces are very narrow. The plus side to that is we were able to park right outside our front door.

Perfect!!

Im not sure where to start. My husband, mother in law, myself and the kids had a WONDERFUL time here. The condo was PERFECT! Plenty of room for all of us. Close to shopping for food, gas, beach rentals what ever you may need. There was a few snorkeling sets already at the condo to use, beach towels & small ice chests. The beach was small and perfect for snorkeling or sunbathing. The pool was great to swim in when the ocean was a little rough. BBQing at sunset was gorgeous! Every morning we had fresh Mangoes from the beautiful mango trees out front and the gardeners would give us fresh papayas and bananas from the trees around the property. It was perfect! Very close driving distance to Napali beach and Kapalua beach. The BEST snorkeling areas I have EVER seen! Liz was wonderful to work with, she responded to all my questions very quickly and goes above and beyond to make your stay perfect. Thanks Liz. We cant wait to come back and stay here again

Great Beach Views! Great Location!

Thank you Liz for letting us stay at your condo, We enjoyed our stay there and the heated pool was great and the sunset views as amazing, we watched the sunset every evening either by the beach or by the lanai. Beach was pretty, we saw a sea turtle on our stay there just relaxing by the beach. The waves however it was a bit too strong for our young kids so we went to a different beach during our stay, however there were lots of people on the beach during our stay there. The condo is great, its nice to just drive in-front of the condo and unload the bags, no elevators or anything! Inside was clean and we had everything we needed. It was great having a washer and dryer as we used it almost every day since we were at the beach every day. Rooms were clean and the kids enjoyed the beds and having their own rooms to sleep into. Overall it was a great location and easy to get to and the host (Liz) was easy to talk to and if there was any issues she would resolve it quickly. We truly enjoyed Maui, and we wouldn't hesitate to go back there in the future. Mahalo!

We are a family from San Diego who absolutely love Maui. Michael and Liz have been visiting since 1980 and decided in 2010 it was finally time to buy! We love Hawaii's tropical beaches, hiking trails, culture, weather, and warm ocean. No trip to Maui is complete without scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, watching hula dancing, or dining on Hawaii's fabulous fresh fish. We named our condo 'Hale Kalela' after our three daughters, whose names translated into Hawaiian are Kelona, Lakela, and Kala.

Why they chose this property

We have always loved West Maui for its lush, tropical landscape, its small coves and bays as well as long sandy beaches, the different little towns juxtaposed to the large resorts of Kaanapali and Kapalua, and in general, the whole feel of West Maui. Kahana Sunset has all the attributes we looked for in a vacation home. The complex is fairly small, quiet, on a secluded sandy beach, has beautifully landscaped grounds, convenient parking, and easy access to nearby shops, restaurants, hiking, and other amenities.

What makes this property unique

We enjoy being able to swim, snorkel, kayak, watch spectacular sunsets, barbecue, and just relax without ever having to leave our complex. We also love our spacious, comfortable, remodeled two-bedroom unit where we wake up to the views and sounds of the ocean, cook in our well-appointed and well-stocked kitchen, and relax inside or outside on our ocean view lanais. Finally, we enjoy being able to walk to nearby shops and restaurants.
