Our stay was great, we had a really good time in there. The penthouse is beautiful, great location, all cleaned and perfect. David and Adriano were very kind and gently all the time we needed. Very good experience! Thank you for the hospitality!!! Next time I will defenestrou stay there again.

Amazing villa in can't-beat location!

Place was terrific, just as advertised. Beautiful villa with double balcony and 2 nicely appointed bathrooms. Air conditioning in every room. Lots of space - the rooms are large. And Adriano the manager took care of any issues that arose. We were also in a prime location, just 2 blocks from the beach, on a main street. 24/7 doorman/security, so safety was not an issue. Great place overall. Highly recommend!

Simply the BEST!

The Coral Penthouse was an incredible complement to the city of Rio! It was an easy distance to amazing open air, fresh fruits, fish and veggie outside market, shopping, beach, and a 24 hour juice bar! This is a gorgeous home away from home, fully stocked kitchen without the hassle of clean-up! A visually stimulating, soft, clean, cool place to recharge for the endless adventures Rio has to offer. There is a sense of privacy and community. We would do this vacation the same way over and over and over again! The staff is thoughtful, accommodating, attentive and friendly. LOVED IT!

Wonderful Place to Call Home While in Rio

My wife and I and 2 other couples had the good fortune of securing this lovely condo for a brief stay in Rio de Janeiro, just a couple of days after Carnaval. The space was as good as it looks in the pictures (always an unknown until you actually arrive!), and David Parker the owner was very responsive and accessible. We arranged for his contact, Marcos, to pick us up at the airport and that was a very smooth process, as well as the easy check-in with Adriano. We highly recommend this for great location, comfort and ease of use if you're looking to stay in Rio. We definitely hope to be back! Thanks again, David!

"Que Bom! Que Lindo!" (how good, how beautiful)

This is a dream penthouse in the heart of one of the world's most beautiful cities. Wow! The location is great...right in the center of Copacabana in a safe building with extraordinary views of the city, mountains and sea. It is well furnished with a great kitchen and fabulous terraces. The apartment was clean and well appointed, all you need for a great stay. I liked the location a lot, as I love the street life of Rio, the friendly crowds of families and shoppers. (Great shops nearby); yet suddenly you can be "above it all" watching a peaceful sunset (or sunrise if you've been out playing late) with a cool drink in your hand. There are gyms and good restaurants nearby and of course, the amazing beaches of Rio. One of my favorite restaurants is a "Churrascaria" - Brazilian BBQ - called "Porcao" (means big pig); It's a quick cab ride away with a stunning view of Sugar Loaf and great food. Carnivore? you'll like it!...Sunday lunch at Porcao when it's full of Brazilian families is a great experience. I'd happily recommend this apartment to my friends and family...the perfect place in a great city.

Great Property in an amazing location

We were a group of 6 visiting Rio for the first time. We found this penthouse on VRBO and the pictures that represented did not disappoint. It is on the 11th floor looking out on the city (there is no clear view to the beach, but you are able to see mountains and the expanse of the Copacabana district). You can hear the hustle and bustle of the city below, yet have a quite, intimate feeling above. All your immediate needs are withing 2 blocks (grocery stores, banks, restaurants, etc). You are only a 5 min walk to the beach. The neighborhood is very safe as well. The penthouse was very clean and inviting. As a foreigner who had never been to Brazil, the penthouse was exactly what I had hoped it would be with the amenities and space for 6. The rooms are spacious and clean. There isn't a washer and dryer in the penthouse, but you can get/use the property washer and dryer. The internet connection was very good as well-to stay connected to all your worldly cares you are supposed to leave behind. Max, the property manager, is top notch and is more than helpful during the entire process. I had many questions prior to our arrival and he answered them promptly and professionally. While we were down there, we had several inquisitions about local excursions. Max sat with us and made the phone calls to try to get us the times and logistics most favorable for us. If, and when, we return to Rio, we will definitely stay here again.

A nice place and space from which to explore

David was an amazing communicator both before and during our visit, responding promptly and thoroughly to a lot of questions—thank you David! And overall, our group really enjoyed staying at David’s property. As for the space, the patio was amazing and the rooms were nicely sized. I think the crew who stayed on the first floor were really comfortable. As for the room on the second floor, it can only be accessed via a very narrow metal spiral staircase (which I may have missed in the description) which was not perfect, especially when we were in a lightening storm and I was not comfortable traversing it. Also, the A/C on the second floor could not really keep up with the heat, and it was super hot, so that was a liyyle uncomfortable. The fan wasn’t working when we got in, but David sent someone almost immediately, and that was helpful. The first floor space with the long bar and room to lounge was lovely and worked well for our group. The building seemed like a standard Rio building and the neighbors we encountered were all very nice. The location of the space made it very easy to get to all the different places we wanted to go. We did a small bit of walking in the early evening and that felt alright, but mostly we took ubers. I wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking in a smaller group in our neighborhood, or really any, late at night, but that seems to be how it works in Rio. One highlight from our trip was when David hooked us up with his friend Adrianno to take us to a football game. We wouldn’t have had any clue how to find our way there or get tix or anything, and Adrianno made it all happen. That was an amazing experience.

Lovely penthouse duplex-great views and location

Lovely penthouse duplex with great views of Rio and a two block walk to Copa Cabana beach. Nice layout with all the little touches-all three bedrooms had very comfy beds and excellent showers! The kitchen was stocked with everything that you'd need for a great cocktail hour and/or dining on the terrace. Maid service was offered every day during the week, which is a plus for a rental property. The owner and property manager was there for us 24-7. Any questions or requests were immediately responded to!! We were a family of 6 and it was wonderful having everyone under one roof. We had breakfast together before starting the day, had great cocktail hours both on the terrace and indoors listening to great basa nova music and we had a samba lesson on the terrace one evening which was lots of fun! The only negative is that the building is a bit run down, yet the owner did a fabulous job creating a penthouse duplex that felt like Brazilian heaven the moment you put the key in the door!

Very impressive accommodations!

We all had a wonderful time at this awesome penthouse. There were 17 of us and it was very comfortable, there was plenty of room for all of us. The penthouse is clean and beautiful and the manager and the housekeeping staff are very pleasant and helpful, they were so kind and good to us all, taking care of all our needs.

Amazing quality matched by an unforgettable time!

I decided I wanted to do something different for my golden birthday and I am truly grateful that I found this place. It was a slice of paradise at the coral penthouse. I was so relieved to see that the actual place matched the beautiful pics seen online. David and Max were very hospitable and really genuine people. Max especially, came by to check in on us to ensure that we were having a great time and also suggested places for us to see while staying there. The place was well maintained and cleaned daily as we went out to explore. It's a really good feeling to come home to a well made up bed every day. I would definitely love to visit again and hopefully spend more time in Rio. Thank you guys for everything!

Amazing stay! Would definitely go back!

The property was everything we expected and more. The apartment is located two blocks from the beach , and in a great part of Copacabana next to some good restaurants and small bars. The location of the apartment is great because there is a metro station nearby that makes every part of Rio easy to get to, and is also only a short taxi ride to many other parts of the city. David and Max's customer service was impeccable and they are both extremely responsive and willing to help you have a great stay in Rio. I traveled there with two other young guys (all around 27) and Max and David always helped us find great places to go out and eat and gave us great recommendations on what parts of the city to visit. I would definitely recommend this penthouse to anyone else visiting Rio. Have a great trip!

Great family penthouse in central location

This penthouse was a wonderful place to stay. Beautifully decorated, and spacious for our two families which included three small children, we found the penthouse the ideal place to stay in Rio. The terrace is a great area to take your meals, and hang out in the evenings. The kitchen has modern appliances, and is well set up if you enjoy cooking. Conveniently-located grocery stores, and other small shops are right in the neighborhood. There is daily cleaning service - a real plus. Max Homsi, our caretaker, met us upon arrival, provided lots of useful information, and checked up on us everyday to see how we were doing.

Este é realmente um lugar incrível! Igualmente fantástico é a anfitriã, Paula. Nós viajamos com os jovens filha abd ela nos deixar usar seu próprio conjunto pessoal de chaves de reposição para a semana! A equipe foi mais do que hospitaleiro. A localização é excelente. É três quadras da praia, vários supermercados a poucas quadras e muitas lojas de todos os tipos por perto. Nós definitivamente recomendo este lugar! This penthouse was spacious with a great view and about 2 blocks from the beach. It's in Copacabana, which is a nice retreat from downtown Rio but only a quick metro ride away. The owner was very responsive and helpful. This would be a great place to stay if you're heading to Rio for the World Cup.

Lovely apartment near beach

Two friends and I rented this lovely three bedroom apartment that sits two blocks from the Coppacabana beach and in walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, banks, and the post office. It is very spacious with a fully stocked kitchen and air conditioning in each room. The bathrooms are large and the closet space plentiful. The building's security is excellent and we felt extremely safe. The upstairs bedroom is a bit difficult to access with luggage, but once you get up there, the view is awesome. It has it's own private terrace that compliments the one below. The apartment has maid service every other day and is clean and well- maintained. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating and responded to our every need. The rental process was easy and hassle fee. I highly recommend staying in this venue.

Fantastic option for 4 to 14 people in Rio!

I recently travelled with a group of 7 guys to Rio de Janeiro. I had been to Rio on numerous occasions and usually stayed in a hotel. This was a far better experience and far more reasonable price. This penthouse is 2 blocks from Copacabana beach - 2 major grocery stores a stone throw away. Every morning started with a custom made juice concoction from the juice bar across the street than ended up being called "The Canadian". We rented both penthouses that connect if need be from the patio. Perfect place for larger groups who enjoy hanging out together and having the ability for ultimate privacy at the same time. I would most definitely stay there again. The owner was always available and helpful. All transactions were seamless.

This place made the trip to Rio a real pleasure

Dave, the owner, helped us out of a jam as a last minute reservation. Our son had stayed here previously and raved about the apartment and it's location. Dave was so gracious to allow us to come early and even take a shower in his own unit until the apartment was ready. The views, the appointments of the space, the comfort was like being welcome to an old friends home. We were provided with a great location, 3 blocks from the beach, and great local restuarants and shopping. Dave as the host provided with great converstion. The unit had fresh fruit and drinks, daily maid service, comfortable beds, a large kitchen (by Brazilian standards) and killer views of the ocean and mountains. We couldn't have asked for a more friendly environment or host. When next we visit our son in Brazil, we would not hesitate staying here again in Rio. Dave, thanks for everything.

This apartment made the vacation!

This penthouse apartment was amazing! Your right in the heart of Copa. Anything, and everything you need is in walking distance. The place was clean and exactly as listed. Coming from someone who usually prefers hotels, I was not disappointed one bit. 24 hour doorman kept us feeling safe and we had clean towels, freshly made beds, internet, cable, and great views from the balcony(s). There isn't a doubt of if I'll stay here again, more so when! David was great with suggestions and answering all our questions. I really don't have anything but positive things to say about this apartment. I felt like I was living in Copa for a week. If your planning on staying in this penthouse apartment, you won't be disappointed. Thank you very much for everything!

Stop looking around and just book it!!!!

This place is awesome. Beach, restaurants, groceries, and transportation are right out the door. The space inside is perfect. It has everything that you need. The best part is hanging out on the balcony. We ate dinner out there almost every night. There is no need to keep looking for better options if you are trying to stay in Copacabana. You will not be disappointed.

Excellent!

The apartment is excellent- good location right in the middle of Copacabana, some 300m from the beach.Two huge and nicely designed and lit terraces (in fact too good, so much so that they may make you not go out during a weekend night, it happened to us for a couple of nights). The design of the whole penthouse is tasteful, yet unpretentious and therefore made us feel very homely. Usually the holiday apartments one can rent over the internet appear much nicer on the photos than in reality- this was not the case here. We were very positively surprised when we actually saw the apartment, it appeared nicer in reality. Very nice and helpful owner. I will recommend this property to all my friends heading to Rio.

Amazing Apt in Rio

I had a wonderful time in the apartment. It is incredibly clean, spacious, and convenient. There were plenty of cooking utensils and David was pretty responsive to our requests. Having someone clean the apartment every day was a great bonus! I’d highly recommend this apartment to anyone considering a stay in Rio. Location is great (right near the beach and an easy walk to the metro station and Ipanema).

Why they chose this property

I bought this apartment because it was right in the middle of my favorite location, Copacabana. Copacabana is the original beach city of Rio. And has all the charm and life of a vital city. It's also so much more convenient to reach the downtown or other locations such as Ipanema.
