About this property
Private Lakefront Cabin with Hot Tub, Beach and Room for 10
Welcome to Cole Creek Acres, your private 18-acre lake retreat in Norwalk, Ohio. This Amish-built log cabin blends rustic charm with modern comfort — featuring a hot tub, full kitchen, central heat and air, and space to comfortably sleep up to 10 guests.
Outside, enjoy your own sandy beach with swimming, fishing, and kayaking right outside your door. Take in peaceful lake views, wooded surroundings, and room to spread out — all while being just 13 miles from Kalahari and 22 miles from Cedar Point.
Though tucked 1,000 feet off the highway, you’ll feel completely immersed in nature — yet only minutes from groceries, restaurants, and downtown Norwalk.
Our family has owned this property since 1963, and we’re proud to share it with guests seeking relaxation, connection, and memorable time together.
There is a tiny house on the property and some family buildings across the lake; however, the cabin area and private beach are reserved exclusively for you, with no buildings within approximately 400 feet.
Perfect for family vacations, tournament weekends, multi-generational trips, or small group getaways, the cabin offers both shared gathering space and quiet corners to unwind. The open living area makes it easy to spend time together, while the bedrooms and loft provide privacy and comfort at the end of the day.
Whether you’re grilling on the patio, relaxing in the hot tub under the stars, kayaking across the lake, or enjoying a slow morning coffee with a view, there’s room here for both activity and rest.
Sleeping Arrangements:
The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests across thoughtfully arranged sleeping spaces.
The main-floor bedroom features a queen bed. The lower-level bedroom includes a full-size bed. In the open loft, a trundle provides one full bed and two twin beds — a favorite space for kids or additional guests. The finished lower level also includes two full-size sofa beds, offering flexible options for larger families or groups traveling together.
Living Space:
The cabin’s open layout and vaulted wood ceilings create a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes it easy to spend time together. The main living area offers comfortable seating, a Smart TV, and large windows that bring in natural light and lake views.
The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed for preparing family meals, along with ample counter space and bar seating. A dining table provides space for shared meals, board games, and evening conversations after a day on the water.
The finished lower level adds additional gathering space, giving larger groups room to spread out while still feeling connected.
Outdoor Space:
The outdoor setting is what truly sets Cole Creek Acres apart. The cabin sits along the shoreline of a private 18-acre spring-fed lake, offering open views, wooded surroundings, and a peaceful atmosphere throughout the property.
Guests have exclusive access to the sandy beach area directly in front of the cabin. Swim, fish, or launch one of the provided kayaks right from shore. The lake is well known in our family for excellent fishing and quiet morning paddles.
A private hot tub is located on the patio, providing a relaxing place to unwind in the evening while overlooking the water. The patio also includes a propane grill, outdoor seating, and space for gathering.
A fire pit near the cabin offers another place to slow down at the end of the day. A starter supply of firewood is provided, and additional firewood is available on site if needed.
With woods, open land, and water surrounding the cabin, there is room to explore, play, and relax without feeling crowded or confined.
Location:
Cole Creek Acres is located just outside Norwalk, Ohio, offering peaceful lakefront privacy while remaining close to local attractions and conveniences.
The cabin is approximately 13 miles from Kalahari Resort and 22 miles from Cedar Point. Sports Force Parks at Cedar Point Sports Center and Norwalk Raceway Park are both nearby, making the property a convenient option for tournament weekends and events.

You’ll enjoy the feeling of being immersed in nature while still having easy access to everything you need.
Things to Know:
The cabin is located at the end of an approximately 800-foot stone driveway that includes a hill. During winter months, four-wheel drive is recommended if snow is expected. We make reasonable efforts to plow, but heavy snowfall may limit access temporarily.
There is a tiny house located approximately 400–500 feet from the cabin, as well as family buildings across the lake. The cabin area and beach directly in front of the cabin are reserved exclusively for your use.
For safety and property monitoring, there is one exterior security camera located at the rear of the cabin. It is clearly visible upon arrival and is the only camera on site.
The property includes water, woods, and natural terrain, so children should be supervised outdoors.

Frequently asked questions
About the host
Hosted by Larry Fisher
My name is Larry Fisher, and along with my brother Mark, we are proud to share our cabin at Cole Creek Acres. I am a middle school teacher and Mark makes concrete ornamental stones. I have 4 children, ranging in ages from 14 to 27. All of us enjoy working on the cabin and the grounds of Cole Creek Acres. When you message us or have a question, either me or Mark will be the one taking care of you. Family is important to all of us and when you stay with us you will get treated like family.
Why they chose this property
Cole Creek Acres is over 100 acres of woods, farmland, and water that has been in our family since 1963. Mark and I grew up on the property, and spent our younger days playing in the woods and creeks on the property. In the 1990's the lake was made as a result of a sand and gravel company creating a quarry on the property. The result is our beautiful 18 acre lake, that is up to 40 feet deep. The lake is spring fed, with great fishing. We love the property, and bet you will too!
What makes this property unique
Our property is right off of a state highway, but once you drive down the hill to the cabin, you could be anywhere. The quiet and peaceful setting will give you a chance to recharge and relax. Both of your hosts live less than 2 miles from the cabin, and we will do everything we can to make your stay one to remember.
