Relax by the beautiful Wenatchee River!

Katy's Riverside Cottage is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway, or for a small group of friends or family to enjoy watching the beautiful Wenatchee River right from the deck.Enjoy cross-country ski trails, hiking, or just relax in front of the cozy electric fireplace and watch shows via Roku or one of the many DVD's available. High speed internet provided if you need to catch up on work.The Plain Hardware store has great espresso and it's only a 5 minute walk. Chelan Co STR permit #000112.
The space
The cottage is a modest but cozy home with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There are two electric fireplaces, one in the living room and one in the queen bedroom. The queen bedroom has a lovely view of the river and is quite spacious. There is a smart tv and sitting area, and a large closet which has 2 sling chairs for the deck. The smaller bedroom has 2 twin beds, a book shelf and a mini tv/dvd player for the kids. In summer months there is a portable AC which is set up in the living room. There is a whole-house water filtration system which was installed in 2019 updated annually with a new filter.
Guest access
There is space in the driveway area for up to 4 cars max.

*****PETS*****
The cottage is pet friendly (dogs only/max 2) but there is a pet fee of $50/per stay. Please click on "Number of guests" and check the box "Traveling with pets" to include the pet fee so I don't have to bother you with it later.

I try to have the kitchen stocked with salt, pepper,olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sugar packets and a variety of herbs and spices. We don't provide coffee or tea. There is a microwave, 3 coffee makers (Cuisinart; French Press & Keurig), blender, toaster, toaster oven and a crock pot.

There is a variety of DVD's and board games for the whole family to enjoy.

If you forgot your favorite paperback there is a decent selection of books to choose from (the twin bedroom has the bookcase & there are some books in the queen bedroom)

In addition to the electric fireplace in the living room, there is a small one in the queen bedroom. They put out an amazing amount of cozy heat.

****Please be aware that the deck furniture and the grill will not be available for use in winter months due to snowfall on the uncovered deck. There is no exact date when the furniture is put away, but is determined by coming snowfall. Please feel free to send me a message asking whether it is still on the deck.

It was a nice quiet and relaxful area. The only sounds were the river and occasionally birds. The cottage while small was cozy and comfortable. It had all we needed. We look forward to staying there again.

Relaxing and Quiet

I stayed here over the weekend with my two dogs. It was so relaxing to sit outside on the deck and listen to the peaceful sound of the river. The cottage had everything we needed and the neighborhood was very quiet.

Great cabin and easy to find. Close to lake for fishing and lots of supplies for a perfect stay. Cant wait to come back again!!!

Perfect little cabin in the heart of town!

Booking a place with 0 reviews is a risk, but this one was so worth it. The place was very clean and located right on the river in the heart of town. Walking distance to everything! Host was amazing and allowed us to check in extra early!

Quiet Reflection

This cottage is magical! Cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. It is so quiet and peaceful right on the river. Leavenworth is a twenty minute drive and the drive is beautiful. The host has thought of everything. It was perfect! We will definitely be back again.

Cross country skiing

Great location in Plain. We cound walk to the local winery (went twice, lovely friendly place) store, and their is also great cafe in walking distance. Place to rent skis and trials nearbybright in Plain. The river was magical. Leavenworth short scenic drive away.

Perfect Getaway!!

History proves usually have rough luck when picking stuff online. But this is the best pick by far!!! Most definitely will return in the future, maybe a winter stay. This is a beautiful setting right by the river, rough trail to the river, but the serenity takes care of all that. Small enough for two( plus 2 dogs), room for kids, yet just a roomy comfy atmosphere.the property is great at the end of the row with nothing on that side, quiet neighborhood on a Big holiday weekend. Big deck. Just perfect in my opinion. It will come highly recommended to any who ask.

Epic Location

Very clean home away from home! Sitting on the deck with the river to hear and see right in front of you. Great quiet town very close to Fish Lake and Leavenworth. Loved the kitchen with a full sized refrigerator and oven (perfect for making a peach cobbler). The gas grill on the deck was perfect for cooking breakfast outdoors for that mountain feeling. Katy has a real jewel, thank you!

Loved this cabin!

We loved staying at this cabin! The owner is very quick to respond to questions and very friendly. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Everything is labeled with clear instructions. Sitting on the back deck, watching the river flow by, is heaven. The only minor flaw is the gravel pit right next door. The incessant squeaking and grinding of the machines made us leave the cabin for a while. But that was just during the day. The early mornings and evenings were silent and peaceful. I would highly recommend renting this cabin and planning outings during the day (Lake Wenatchee is a very short drive away, as is the town of Leavenworth. And there is a small store, a restaurant and a hardware store with espresso within walking distance). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here.
