Our second time to stay here! Wonderful little apartment only 1 block off of the square in Carthage. Two nice bedrooms - one with a queen bed and one with 2 twin beds plus an under-the-bed trundle. Very clean. Soft, comfy mattresses. Nice roomy bathroom. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely antique woodwork everywhere. Everything one might need for a comfortable weekend stay. The only potential caveat (which wasn't a problem for us!) is that there is a fairly steep flight of steps up to the apartment. I considered it a good leg work out - but it wouldn't work well for someone with mobility issues.

Had a wonderful stay. We were visiting family for the thanksgiving holiday and got snowed in our last day. We were able to stay an extra day and they personally checked in to make sure we were ok and offered to get us anything we might need. We hope to stay there again in the future. We highly recommend this property!

Wonderful little bungalow

We stayed 5 nights and turned this apartment into our home away from home. Beds were super soft. Host was very commutative with us. I have to be honest, I overlooked the “upstairs” part when I booked it and I am so glad I did otherwise I wouldn’t have booked it as I don’t do well on stairs. But this was a gem of a find and would gladly book again if I am in the area.

Great place! We stayed here to visit Nauvoo and would definitely stay there again. Well equipped, easy to find, super clean, fast communication with the owner, and loved the scenery on the drive!
