Needs updating, water smells like rotten eggs, paddle fan on porch does not work, towel bars in bathrooms fall down (need fixing), closet doors need knobs, yard needs cleaning and trimming of weeds, garage is dirty. Put some effort into cleaning and updating and your place would be fine to rent.

We loved our stay here and so did our Yorkie, he loved the big yard. The greatest asset of this home is the solitude. This home sits on a nearly 2 acre lot with neighboring homes also on large lots so there's loads of privacy. We were visited frequently by a family of deer, a buck, doe and 2 fawns, they came within a few yards of the home to eat acorns from the trees. While driving the neighborhood we also seen 3 wild turkeys. The home is on well water but has a reverse osmosis system which does a great job and was fine for us but for those of you who aren't used to well water you might want to bring your drinking water. We loved the table tennis setup in the garage and the air hockey and foosball in the basement. If I had to make any critiques I'd say that the home is a bit dated and could use a handyman's touch here and there, also the lighting could be a bit brighter. In summary, if you love privacy and enjoy being in a natural setting, you'll like it here, we found it very peaceful. Oh, and if you stay here be sure to hit the restaurants in downtown Crete, like Smokey Jo's which regularly has live music and great BBQ.

Family Gathering

We were in town for a family gathering. The house is very spacious, however updates are needed to modernize the home. Very beautiful property will definitely stay again.

We had very nice stay, home is nestled in a nice secluded area. Lots of space. We definitely recommend it and will lease it again.

Quiet, beautiful

This place was great nestled in a little quiet neighborhood extremely beautiful, very nice. Neighbors house was very clean. I would recommend this place to anybody.

6 cousins weekend

The location was fantastic only saw 2 people while we whet there. Definitely an out standing VRBO. The most equipped Vrbo kitchen I have been in. We would of loved to have a hair dryer in one of the bathroom. Absolutely an excellent place

Beautiful property!

House was exactly as pictured. Beautiful outdoor area with hot tub. The beds were comfortable and the house was spacious. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would. Special thanks to the property manager.

Very please with the communication with our host. Easy access to the Hammond for volleyball tournament. Very clean.

Clean and quiet home in south suburb of Chicago

Clean 3 bedroom house in quiet subdivision in a south suburb of Chicago. Beds and bathrooms were nice. Basement and Garage had ping pong and air hockey table games.

Absolutely stunning!

Just outside Chicago (about 40 minutes). The house is beautiful! Huge back yard is kept neat. All amenities were available down to shampoo & soap! Owner is extremely nice and very responsive!!! I would rent again if I was ever in the area.

This home was very clean, but the 4th bed was not the sofa bed pictured in the listing - it was simply a couch that could only fit one person and not the two it claimed. The code for the keypad pin itself was also a number that made me believe it had not been changed for many months and that previous guests could have accessed the home.
