About Patti Rogers

We live in the west and are 5 years short of retiring. We love to travel and adore the French culture although we do not speak French. The local people in Quebec are friendly and helpful and the food is amazing.

Patti Rogers purchased this apartment in 2005

Why Patti Rogers chose Quebec City

I fell in love with this place because it closely resembles Europe. I visit once or twice per year and will make it my part time residence once I retire as it is getting harder to travel to Europe.

What makes this apartment unique

We visit the local market daily located near the train station to get vegetables, meats and cheeses. We buy a fresh baguette daily across the street and sip at wine while we eat bread, cheese and pate. We enjoy the restaurants and local art.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a great time and your place was perfect. Parking was actually very convenient at the Hotel de Ville and the $92/Week (with re-entry) is reasonable for the area.

Loved walking around Old Quebec City, Citadel and Plains of Abraham.

We would not hesitate in recommending your place in the future.

Thanks again.

Wonderful experience!

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time in Quebec! The apartment, being located within the walls of the old town, made it all the more so. Our party consisted of four seniors (70+), and the only issues we had were the stairs and the one bathroom (but we worked around both just fine). The apartment was well stocked with every convenience and supply (other than a dishwasher), and we were totally pleased with the amenities provided. Annick was extremely helpful in helping resolve one of our party's mishap on the outset of our stay. The unit was clean and pleasantly styled. Would we return again? ABSOLUTELY!

Rediscovering Quebec city

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay at Patti's beautifully appointed apartment.

As a family, we like to walk to everything and we were able to do that with this apartment so well situated to fantastic restaurants ( Chez Temporal).

We plan to return to Quebec city (because we had forgotten just how beautiful the city is, and the superb cuisine) and when we do, we would not hesitate to stay at her apartment!

Thanks again,

Anne, Jeremy, and Michael

Amazing place to stay

The space was immaculate. The location was central to everything. The people in the building were so friendly. You won't find a better place to stay in Quebec City.

Lovely flat, close to everything

  • 4 of 5

This flat is beautiful and the owner has paid attention to every detail. It is a very easy walk to everything. The only downside is there is a pub next door that was very noisy with live music and people until quite late on the weekend--more than just the city/traffic noise we expected. Worth it for the location but good to know if you prefer quiet nights.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay and sorry to hear of the noise from the bar - hopefully this is an isolated incident as this is the first time we have received this kind of feedback.

Fabulous Place in Quebec City!!

  • 5 of 5

Our time at Patti's apartment was perfect! We loved the fact that the outside of the place was "rustic," and the steps to the apartment provided a great transition to the very tasteful and modern living space. We found the living room comfortable, the kitchen incredibly well-stocked, the bathroom (with its wonderful shower head!) up-to-date and spacious, and the bedroom most welcoming, with lots of closet space and (miracle of miracles) plenty of hangers! We were able to take advantage of our proximity to the nearby bakery and small grocery store so that we could create a wonderful breakfast "at home" then get on with our day of sightseeing, shopping, and gallery-hopping. Being so centrally located in the old part of the city allowed us to walk everywhere, take in the sights and enjoy the gourmet delights of both the old city and the lower part of Quebec. The street Patti's apartment is on is a side street that has virtually no traffic noise (which is a pet peeve of mine), so we both were happy about the peace and quiet. Annick was very available and helpful to us as we (at the last minute) tried to get TV access to the 1st episode of "Genius," the amazing 10-episode series about Albert Einstein. The wi-fi worked well, though we avoided it mostly and focused on being in a wonderful city that made us almost feel that we were in France. We recommend Patti's place without any hesitation and plan to stay again when we next go to Quebec City.

Great place to stay right in town

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in Quebec in Patti's apartment. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Quebec City. It is in a great location, and the apartment itself was a perfect size for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 children). It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay there again if we return to Quebec!
