We came in for the Thanksgiving holiday and this home was perfect for our family of 4. The hosts are phenomenal and were super easy to communicate with. The house was perfect and had everything we needed and then some. It was decorated for fall and so homey. We will definitely stay there again anytime we are in Canyon.

We are so glad you had a great thanksgiving. Y’all were great guest, please come back anytime!
We loved our stay at Thais property, there we four adults and one toddler and we fit perfectly in this space. There was enough separation to put the little one to bed early without having to worry about waking her up, but the house also has lots of room to be together as well. The owner went above and beyond providing anything we might need while we were staying, like shampoo, napkins, games, lots of kitchen utensils, even a s’mores bar. It was delightful! We will certainly stay again if we are in the area! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
The house was originally two cabins that were constructed in Palo Duro Canyon during the early 1900's to house the crews who were building the road leading down into the Canyon. In the 1950's the cabins were purchased by West Texas State University and moved into town where they were put together to make the current footprint of the house. They housed professors from WT for many years before the university sold them to private citizens. The house has gone through several remodels and upgrades to its current layout. The hardwood floors in the middle room and kitchen are original from the early 1900'S.
