Los Cocos Holbox - Charming Cabana on the Beach

Los Cocos Holbox is a charming beachfront cabana for those of us who can't get enough of the beach and who love to experience those soft tropical sunsets.

The cabana was constructed in a grove of coconut trees as a traditional fisherman's cabana with a palapa roof. The cabana was recently restored and updated to provide guests with modern comforts and amenities, while retaining its authentic island feel. The best of both worlds!

When you wake up at Los Cocos Holbox, there's no need to go to the beach. You're already there! Step outside the door and your feet are in the sand. In the morning, you can watch the fishermen bring in the nightly catch as the seabirds wheel and dive. All day long, you can watch the hypnotic every-changing sea. And the evenings are punctuated by those incredible sunsets for which Isla Holbox is renowned.

The cabana is cozy, comfortable, and suitable for one or two beach-loving adults. Inside, you'll find a bedroom with queen size bed, AC, kitchen, and bathroom. Easing the transition between the house and the paradise outside is a porch/sunroom with ocean views. Finally, there's a magical outside shower with overhanging seagrape trees.

Holbox's central square, where you'll find a variety of restaurants and grocery stores, is a short 5 minute walk from Los Cocos.

If you're interested, we can set up a personal transfer for your party direct from Cancun's airport -- or from anywhere on the Maya Riviera.

While we are pet friendly we accept a maximum of 1 pet per reservation and charge an extra 30$ cleaning fee. Please let us know if you will be bringing your pet in advance.

Also please note that we do not allow any kind of parties, events or loud music.

Paradise

Probably the best place to stay on the island. Close to everything, easily walkable, beach right outside your door. Delphine, the property mgr, was great! If we ever came back to Holbox, we would definitely stay here again.

This is an absolutely amazing property. It is right on the beach and is truly the best location on the island you could ask for. Plus James and Susana are wonderful hosts - they helped us arrange transportation to/from the airport and were quick to assist with any other questions we had. We can't wait to come back!

Great stay

Los cocos was an amazing stay. Great location, just as pictured, did have some night life noise , which was anticipated, we’re older , so the earplugs worked. We set out to stay 10 days, but 8 days , we were ready to move on. I would definitely suggest los cocos for a time in Isla Holbox!!!

Consistently Perfect

This was our second stay and it was perfect again. Johny took the best care of us with all of our needs/wants (COVID testing in house, massage and your booking, etc). The cabana is cozy and romantic, right on the beach, and it could not be in a better location for eating/shopping downtown. A hidden gem in Holbox!!!

Sweet Stay

Secluded and private. The seagrass, which is being relocated at the adjacent lot brought in unpleasant smells - needs to be cleaned up. There are minor fixes need attention. Overall, we loved our stay. The super host was excellent on all levels!

Ideal location, beautiful property

We had an amazing time at Los Cocos. Rustic but comfortable typical escape that had everything we needed and an incredible yard/ outdoor area on the beach. Perfect for couples or single travelers. Really love the location - even though you are right in the heart of the main town, you still feel like you are in your own private paradise when sitting out on the loungers and watching the waves. Just idyllic. Thank you Jony for hosting us.

Beautiful rental - as advertised, with excellent service

The house was actually bigger than we expected and the beach was even more beautiful. Jony was a really wonderful host, providing a map of his favorite restaurants and things to do that we used frequently. We tried a new restaurant not on his list and regretted it. A real enchanting Holbox hideaway

We were lucky enough to rent three nights at “ Los Cocos “. In our opinion is definitely the best place to stay on the island. Right on the beach and surrounded by a beautiful garden we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The bungalow is an easy 5 minutes walk to the main square and all the amenities you might need. It has a fully equipped kitchen, WiFi and AC ( that we barely needed ). At the check in we met the charming Susana who introduced us to the house and to Holbox. We must say that hearing the sound of the waves on the shore while laying in bed was priceless. We are definitely looking forward returning to “ Los Cocos “.

Holbox Vacay

We absolutely loved this spot. Being able to walk to town was so convenient and being right on the beach was great. We could easily walk the beach & we were able to pull our chairs out to lay out on the beach. The property was always very well maintained which made afternoon naps outside perfect! Isla Holbox sweet cottage

We loved Los Cocos and plan to return next year. The people who care for this place were very kid and helpful. Weather was beautiful. We were surprised at the loud live music that happened every night until late. We used ear plugs and got used to it after a week but we missed being quiet and hearing the waves at night. We thought the property had bikes with it but there is a great rental a block away. Los Cocos is a great location for shopping and restaurants. It is in the center of the island. The beach out front is public and lots of people hang there all day and pass at night quite late so if you are looking for more peace and quiet pick a place father out of town. I’d you like to people watch and be close to everything this is the place.

Location

This property is located in the perfect area. You can walk to nearly everything. We only used a taxi a couple of times. It's very close to the beach and only minutes to the town center. The beach is wonderful. The grounds are awesome! The Cabana is very quaint and as advertised. Delphine did a wonderful job of getting us to the island with our transfer and I would highly recommend using her for setting up the transfers. It was seamless and stress free. Walking to Punta Mosquito is wonderful and as you get on the sandbar you realize how crystal blue the water is. The sand is like sugar and rarely do you hit anything hard. Sunsets made for postcards and people watching everywhere. I would highly recommend this rental.

Five Stars Cabana

Excellent experience from beginning to end. Delphine and Joni were very helpful and answered all our questions and arranged the transfers to and from airport to the house. The cabana is “magical” right on the beach and is more beautiful than you can see on the pictures! We will definitely come back! 5/5 stars!

Amazing location, awesome host!

We loved our stay at Los Cocos! The bungalow is the perfectly quaint getaway for true rest and relaxation. Delphine was the most thoughtful and responsive host ever, along with Paty and Ramon who help care for the property daily. It is an absolute gem; quiet, but so close to everything you really need. I'm already looking at future dates to see when we can return. Loved it! Two thumbs up! Will stay again!
