The Paradise Cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths as close to Venice Island without the price. Right across the "1st bridge" to the island with the backyard on the Legacy Bike/Walk Trail. Out front on the deck is a lovely canal view that leads to the intercoastal waterway. Convenient, comfortable and affordable. The "cottage" is in a deed restricted neighborhood. One guest must be 55yo. Looking to escape for the winter or early spring, a biking or beach enthusiast or just visiting all that Venice Island offers. Welcome corporate rentals. Temporary living while you build a house.
Brand new July 2024! This is a 2023 manufactured home that is set up about 10 steps off the ground, so there are stairs to climb.
Fully applianced kitchen with common convenience items. 1 king bedroom guest room with private full bath, second guest room is 2 twin beds and an office. We limit the rental to 3 guests.
Sit outside with a cup of coffee and enjoy the peaceful canal with birds, turtles, manatee (Jan/Feb) and an occasional boat. Although we are on the canal we don't have a dock or dock access but if you are interested in bringing your boat for the visit, we know neighbors that may rent their dock space for an additional fee. A kayak and boat launch is just on the other side of the canal in Marina/Legacy Park and Boat ramp on E. Venice Ave.
Biking, jogging or walking is so popular from this location because it is safe and convenient. Right out the backdoor and onto the Legacy Trail and Venice Beach is 2 miles by car and 1.5 miles by bike or walking on the trail. No need for a car once you arrive because there are restaurants, Venice Little Theater, grocery stores (Publix and ALDIS, pharmacy, salons...too many to list within a 1/2 mile radius. Also, Sarasota Emergency Care is on the adjacent property. Convenient and fun all rolled into Paradise Cottage. In season we prefer 90 days, starting Jan 1st. 2026
May-October can have a guest stay from 2 weeks to 90 days.

We have been in the Venice area since the 1980s. The sleepy town on the Gulf has grown to a fabulous place to visit, stay or live.
Why they chose this property
Literally no where else can you walk out the back door and 36 steps later you are on the Legacy Trail (former RXR tracks) to, walk, run, bike, electric bike from Sarasota to North Port.
Also, it is only 1.5 miles walking ot biking (2 miles by car) to Venice Beach. with the warm Gulf and beach with lifegurads.
AND still have a fabulous canal view from the hot tub in the backyard. That is Paradise.
