Ready for a getaway? Come to the Promise Suite! New post-and-beam suite located on 7 acres. No neighbors in sight as you sit on your private deck overlooking the woods.
Enjoy the 3-sided fireplace, vaulted pine ceilings, comfortable queen bed, kitchenette, sitting area & 5-piece bathroom with a 2-person whirlpool tub.

Experience true seclusion and quiet serenity! Very quiet area, private second-story entrance. No near neighbors. Get back to nature! Go for a walk on the rough trail to the back creek. Take a picturesque drive to nearby attractions like the 3 covered bridges, Piatt and Mac-o-Chee castles, Ohio Caverns, Marmon Valley horse farm, Myeerah Nature Preserve, Indian Lake, canoeing on the Mad River, Big Darby Headwaters, Mad River Mountain skiing, and downtown Bellefontaine and Urbana...both voted one of Ohio's Best in the last 2 years!

The Promise Suite is perfect for 1 or 2 people...Romantic getaways, personal retreat, or just passing through...we would love to host you!

Your private 2-story deck is shaded by large tree and great for morning coffee or afternoon reading. Eat or work outdoors at the bistro table!

3-sided fireplace serves as a divider between the dining/living room and bedroom.

Dining room has a large table for working, writing, games or dining.

Kitchenette: small fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, Keurig, mugs, glasses, silverware. Kitchen stocked with K-cups of coffee/hot chocolate and teas (with sugar and creamer).

Other things to note:

THERE IS NO TV in the suite! A true chance to unplug from the world. If you would like to watch movies while you are here, we recommend downloading or streaming them on your device.

COMMUNICATION: We HIGHLY recommend downloading the VRBO app to your phone to create seamless communication.

HOSTS: We live on the property and the suite is above the garage. You will rarely (if at all) see us. We are a very quiet couple :) We do not use the overhead garage door when we have guests.

PARKING: Free parking on-site (early luggage drop off available). You will receive parking details and your door code the day before your stay.

WIFI: We live in the country which sometimes means spotty WIFI! When it's good, it's great (which is most of the time) BUT if you need 24/7 on-the-spot WIFI, we would recommend having your hot spot available. There is NO TV in the suite so if you would like to watch movies while you are here, we recommend bringing a device and perhaps even downloading the videos you would like to watch while you are here.

Just like home !

My wife and I try to visit a different part of Ohio once a year. This was our eighth trip and the Luxury Suite felt just like home. Thoughtful touches throughout, spotless and comfy. Although the suite is attached to their home, the hosts were very respectful of our privacy. Bellefontaine, Indian Lake and historic covered bridges are just minutes away. Beautiful area! We highly recommend the suite and would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you!

We are from SD and WY but have lived in Logan County, OH for the last 14 years and it is HOME to us! We love the people in the surrounding communities and are involved in many of their lives.
We have been hosting for a year and love every aspect of it. It is a blessing to know we are blessing others with a getaway. As a couple and individuals, we understand the importance of getting out of the 4 walls of your house to have time to connect and think, talk and laugh. We hope that the quiet wooded seclusion of our property will enable you to do that.

Why they chose this property

We bought our property with the express purpose of creating this suite to share with you. Our house (and your suite attached to the house) sits in the middle of 7 acres of woods. In fact, there used to be an 80-acre maple syrup farm where we are. The people who owned the farm retired and now we get to enjoy of piece of that history. We have many, many kinds of trees, including multiple kinds of maple trees. So beautiful! We see wildlife everyday ranging from deer, several kinds of owls and woodpeckers (including pileated woodpeckers!) turkeys, ducks, geese, many many small birds, luna moths, swallowtail butterflies among others, fireflies, rabbits and more!

Almost every person/couple that stays with us comments on the quietness, the peace and the coziness of the Promise Suite. We hope that you find that as well when you stay with us.

What makes this property unique

Our home is post-and-beam, a very unique and special kind of building! We carried that theme into the Promise Suite with vaulted pine ceilings in both the main living area and bedroom as well as the bathroom. When you walk into the suite for the first time, we hope you feel a welcoming embrace and feel at home immediately.
