About Melissa Marsden
We purchased our home at the Peninsula about 12 years ago and LOVE it. I am in Real Estate and enjoy getting to the beach as often as we can. We always have a houseful of guests and enjoy sharing our retreat with friends.
Melissa Marsden purchased this Townhome in 2004

Overall like the community, access to Rehoboth and the wave pool, but hated the smell of raw sewage
This is the second time my family stayed here. So we like the house etc, but this time the entire first floor smelled like raw sewage. I don't know what was causing it, but that was no good.
I am surprised the renters never said anything to me about this. This post was the first I heard of it. However, we do an inspection before and after each renter and never notices anything unusual. I have not had an issue prior or after their stay. They were second time guests. Please, if you find something wrong at a property, let the owners know directly. We can't fix it if we don't know it is broken.
Our group loved staying in the luxurious pennisula resort. This property was very spacious and could easily sleep 14 people! The house was well maintained and we really enjoyed the patios. Be sure to pack towels (including kitchen towels and beach towels), and paper products- paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Owner can be slow at getting back to you with any questions.
Wonderful house and property
Everything inside the town house was first class and as advertised! The property, or resort was also first class. We had two excellent dinners at the club house. The facilities were good too. I ran on the nature/walking path and saw wood peckers, blue heron, white egrets and ospreys. My spouse used the outdoor pool and loved it.This was a terrific place for family and kids. One word of caution, upon entering the gated community for the first time remember to use the home owners name because security has the guest name or names under the home owner not the guest. We had four different cars coming for a wedding and 2 of them had some issues with entry that could have been avoided by saying "I am so so staying at the Smith property on such such street. I take some responsibility for that. But my only problem with my stay was getting in as I did not feel the security folks were very helpful. And I would return with no problem now that I get the system:)
Wonderful family vacation spot
We stayed with our 3 kids (5, 3 and 7months). The accommodations are great, lots of space and clean. The facilities in the peninsula are fabulous .... our kids had a blast in the wave pool. Overall we were really pleased with our stay. The only constructive criticism I can give is that having to get up early on check out day to wash, dry and fold all sheets and towels before an 11 am check out was an ideal way to end a vacation. But otherwise it was fabulous!!!
Glad you enjoyed your stay. I know doing laundry is a drag. I suggest you bring your own linens so you can toss everything in a bag and deal with it at home.
Beautiful home in the Peninsula Resort!
We had a great stay in this house in the Peninsula Resort. The house is beautiful, very spacious, warm and welcoming. This is a great community with great amenities. We enjoyed the wave pool, the beach, the nature trail and the new Clubhouse w/ pool and long board. We would definitely stay in this house again.
This was a beautiful home with the perfect amount of space for three families of baseball players. These pictures don't show how much space there really is. We didn't get to enjoy any of the amenities of the community since we were at the baseball field most of the weekend, but we did make our way to Rehoboth Beach one afternoon/evening. That was an easy drive from the house and a fun beach to visit. Also very close to grocery, gas, restaurants, etc. The only issue we had all weekend was the dryer not working for us on check-out day. Would definitely come back when we have time to enjoy it more.
