Take a guided tour and learn about Australia’s early history as you stroll through the alleys and laneways in the now-eclectic Rocks district. Just a short 12 min Ferry ride from our home that passes under the SHB and right by the OH. And guess what? Taking the Ferry is by far the preferred option of residents in this area. It’s just a ‘spectacular’ way for them to start the working day.

The house is fully furnished. Hotel quality white linen and towels, china, glassware, flatware and cookware. Set on two levels, three, if you count the rooftop terrace. On the ground level is the kitchen, a combined pantry and laundry with WC, then the formal dining room and elegant living/lounge room with French doors leading on to a front patio with unobstructed City and Habour views. Both rooms have white Carrara marble surround fire places. Upstairs the 3 bedrooms are each furnished traditionally and complemented with original brass bed. There is an ensuite bathroom off the rear bedroom. Both front and rear bedrooms have sizable wrap around balconies offering extensive views to The Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Anzac Bridge, Darling Harbour and the Sydney City skyline itself with cruise liners berthing directly adjacent to the house.

We were lucky enough to call this house "our home" for 7 days. 12 friends rented all three properties to celebrate New Years Eve. The location is perfect. We didn't need to leave the houses to see the fireworks. Lyn and Giacomo are wonderful hosts.

The best place to stay in Sydney

Our family of six had an amazing experience while staying at Lyn and Giacomo's home. The location is magnificent. They are extremely organized with all their information. They help with suggestions on public transportation, taxis, Uber, groceries, restaurants, and all that Sydney has to offer. The home itself is spacious, immaculate, and very easy to navigate. We were all extremely comfortable and would have loved to stay longer. I can recommend this home about reservation.

Wonderful location for all things Sydney.

This is a great property for exploring Sydney. The home is extremely comfortable, and well stocked with everything you would need. Views off various decks are stunning, and access to ferry and bus lines very convenient. Lyn and Giacomo make sure you have everything you need for a great stay. We were thrilled to have chosen this property with all we needed and such gracious hosts.

Awesome place, Awesome location and wonderful hosts.

My wife and daughters (14yr & 12yr) have traveled the world and mostly try to stay in VRBO locations to experience the culture and really get to know the place. Giacomo and Lynn's place is off the chart perfect and one of the top places we have stayed around the globe.

1st of all, the place itself is charming and has the old world feel and character. It has all the modern amenities that would make anyone comfortable. We were so happy to get back to the unit after all day exploring. The multiple balconies and terraces to take in the lovely views of Sydney were also spectacular and an added bonus.

2nd, the location was perfect. Situated just on the other side of Darling Harbor, it was a short ferry ride to Circular Quay which is at the Opera House and is the central hub to exploring the beautiful city of Sydney. The neighborhood of Balmain East has it's special charm too. Great cafes, shops, grocery and nice little bakeries. Everything is within walking distance but the public transit system with the buses and ferries is so easy and probably one of the best run public transit systems we have experienced.

3rd, to top it all off on an awesome place and location was Giacomo, the host. From the moment of booking, we received valuable information about the unit, location and city. Directions, instructions and even pre-loaded transit cards to use with the ferry / bus system were amenities that are very much appreciated. All of the information makes any stay all the more enjoyable and easy.

We are looking forward to staying at the unit again on our return trip to Sydney. THIS place is awesome. I hope you book a trip there and experience what we did.

We first stayed a week. Then went to other cities. We liked it so much we cam back and rented it again.

We would definitely stay here again. 5 min to bus. Then 5 Min to ferry. Under 40 min by ferry to most close in Quays.

You could not find nicer people to deal with.

A Lovely Way to Enjoy Sydney

My brother rented Giacomo and Lyn's lovely homes for a family trip to see my nephew play in the annual American college football game. Australia. Balmain is a beautiful district of Sydney, the one home modern, fully updated and with every amenity. The other home (where I stayed and I preferred), with an adorable quaint charm, and best of all a panoramic roof deck to enjoy one of the most stunning cities in the world, while enjoying a glass or two of wine.

From their guidance on restaurants, walks, cultural events and pubs, their generosity arranging for transit cards, lending jackets, scarves, whatever we needed for a perfect time in the Harbour City, our hosts could not have been more gracious and solicitous.

I don't know that there could be a better city vacation combination than Sydney, as guests of Lyn and Giacomo
