Thank you for your kind words, we’re so glad you were able to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay at Lazy Bear Lodge.
It’s wonderful to hear the cabin felt clean, inviting, and provided the restful escape so many guests look for when visiting Hocking Hills. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another quiet getaway!
The Lazy Bear Lodge was a great place for 3 couples to stay with it having 3 king beds with private baths. It was a clean and cozy cabin to come back to after a day of hiking in the cold.

Thank you for choosing Lazy Bear Lodge for your birthday weekend celebration! We’re so glad it was the perfect setup for your group. It sounds like the cozy cabin was just what you needed after exploring in the brisk weather! We hope you’ll consider returning for more special occasions or just a relaxing getaway.
beautiful and secluded
built strong with lots of open space as well as larger bedrooms.
Please just add better signage to what property is what.
we tried the wrong one first.
the addresses need to be marked better especially for dark arrivals.
The home is beautiful and the setting tucked away in the woods is great. However, for your awareness, it does seem that each of the showers leaks. The leaks were coming from under the white floor basin and not out through the door or wall. For example, in the bedroom that has the small balcony, that shower leaks out the bottom towards the toilet. Additionally, we killed around 15 bees in our 36 hour stay. That seemed like a lot, not sure where the bees were coming from but they were appearing in all the rooms, not just one spot. I wanted to pass that along for your awareness. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the home.
After a frustrating hour spent driving around to find a cell phone signal because we couldn't find the property (GPS sent us to the house across the street!), Sidney steered us in the right direction and put our vacation back on track! I cannot express my appreciation to the very patient woman who helped us to find our way!
The Lazy Bear Lodge was as cozy as its pictures, with so many lovely details-- like the soft throws for the living room, the enormous island where we cooked most of our meals, comfortable beds with a private bathroom for each bedroom and the shuffleboard puck table was a huge hit for my boys!
I loved the open concept layout with so many bear-themed accents. The laundry was efficient and conveniently located near the kitchen and having the deck just off the kitchen kept everyone close by.
We also had problems with the showers leaking. We would also like to suggest installing hooks for coats (near the doorway) and hooks for towels in the bathrooms. Since there were no closets or dressers in the bedrooms, a few hooks to hang some clothes would also be a nice touch. The only other problem we had was when I tried to use the gas fireplace... I read the instructions, but the smell of the gas was so overwhelming that we had to open all the doors until the smell dissipated (some of us felt sick afterward).
Overall, I would rate the Lazy Bear Lodge 5 stars! We would definitely rent this cozy cabin -- or another property from The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls-- again.
