Aloha! Renovated 1960s beach bungalow just steps from Kaanapali Beach! Peekaboo ocean views, beach cruiser bikes, and plenty of family-friendly features.
Pedal & Dink! Use our beach cruiser bikes to roll over to the nearest pickleball courts and get your game on!

About this space

- Across the street from Kaanapali Beach and close to Merriman’s, Monkeypod, and Duke’s.
- Stylishly designed interior with comfort in mind.
- Spotless cleaning between every stay with thorough disinfection.
- Beds: all new memory foam mattresses, soft linens, oversized pillows.
- Bedrooms: 2 full bedrooms + a fun loft with 2 full beds (great for kids, fits 2 adults too).
- Loft: the third bedroom is a cozy sleeping loft with two full-sized mattresses. It's ideal for kids, but about 2 adults can sleep there too—just keep in mind the low ceiling for a fun, "camping-style" experience.
- There are portable ACs in both primary bedrooms and the loft. There is no AC in the living area, but with plenty of windows for ventilation AC is largely unnecessary. Many buildings on Maui have no AC at all!
- With beach gear (chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, snorkel sets—items may vary).
- 8 pickleball paddles + balls; nearby courts at Lahaina Civic Center and Kapalua Tennis Garden.
- 4 Beach cruiser bikes available (lock them up; replacement fees apply).

Other things to note

- No pets allowed.
- Quiet hours from 10PM until 8AM
- The ladder to the sleeping loft is steep and narrow. Please take caution and supervise young children!
- Third bedroom is a cozy sleeping loft with two full-sized mattresses. It's ideal for kids, but about 2 adults can sleep there too—just keep in mind the low ceiling for a fun, ""camping-style"" experience. We encourage you to take a close look at the listing photos to make sure it fits your group’s needs.
- Optional Extras: An air mattress is available upon request.
- Use of bikes is at your own risk. Please remember to lock them up—$300 for a lost or stolen bike and $75 for a lost lock/key.
- There are portable ACs in both primary bedrooms and the loft. There is no AC in the living area, but with plenty of windows for ventilation AC is largely unnecessary. Many buildings on Maui have no AC at all!
- Condiments and propane tanks are available depending on what previous guests have left behind. There are often leftovers from prior stays, but if you find the supply insufficient, nearby grocery stores carry everything you might need.
- As this is a rental property, some items may disappear over time. If you notice anything missing or in need of replacement, let us know and we will do our best to fix it promptly. For essentials, we are happy to reimburse you if you choose to purchase during your trip
- We highly encourage trip insurance as Airbnb's cancellation policy does not provide refunds for medical, weather, disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances.

It was a very cute, comfy and accommodating bungalow for our stay here in Maui. We very much enjoyed having the cooler and beach chairs and boogie board this week. The lanai’s so inviting and comfortable.

Great for families!

The property is very clean and we loved having the lanai available with the bbq. Definitely comes in handy with a big family who doesnt want to go out every night. We'd absolutely stay here again.

Good location, nice house and the pool

We often had the pool to ourselves, occasionally sharing it with at most one other family. The location is convenient and it was easy to get to many different beaches. One thing to be aware of: the loft ceiling is quite low and the space there is tight. The extra twin rollout bed is at the floor level.

Perfect Maui Bungalo

The property is in great condition. The house has everything you need to make your stay a memorable one. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies and the kids had everything from games to snorkel gear. Great place to bring a larger group.

It is as good as the pictures

This property is a remarkably efficient use of space that lets a group of seven (four adults and three kids) comfortable spread out a relax during the heat of the day and sleep well at night in a small foot print. The location is fantastic with an easy walk to a swimmable beach. Our family all got to swim with turtles at two different local reefs. I did an 2.4 mile open water swim one morning. I would definitely stay here again.

My go to place!

From the beginning Dan had GREAT communication! Not only was Dan responsive, he provided a plethora of information of places to eat and visit! Our stay was wonderful. We are a family of seven and there was a place for everyone to go inside the bungalow. The lanai is GREAT, a wonderful place to have coffee and enjoy the still of the morning or hang out with family and have food and drinks in the evenings! A home away from home! Their place even provided a few body boards and other items for beach fun! This definitely is our place of stay when we come to this side of the island!

Classic clean and comfortable

We had a wonderful experience at this bungalow. The house had been recently renovated to a nice standard of finish. The kitchen, bathrooms, and overall appearance was great, and had everything we needed, and the house was very clean! Also, the beds in the two main bedrooms were very comfortable. The West Maui location was super convenient with a short drive to great beaches, restaurants and entertainment. Dan was very helpful and always responded quickly to questions, and made suggestions for things to do. I highly recommend this place! Aloha!

review about the room

We have a large group family of 8 adult and 1 child 11 year old. This place is beautiful and very clean, close to the beach. But it's definitely not for 9 people, I don't consider these two place in the house is for sleeping. The couch is definitely not comfortable for 2 adult and the up stair is very hot event with small air fan. The ladder is dangerous to claim up and down the stair. This place is 5 star, but it only fit 5 people not for a large party of 9 or 10. I'm happy with the location and the cleaning, the space is disappoint that not fit all of us. We have to move the dining table to the patio and put the mattress up stair to the floor and sleep in the living room. There is no air condition in living room, it's hot in day time event we turn on the fan max. If you travel with 5 people this is the right place, but if you have more than 5 people this is not the place for your group.

Smaller, older, and less clean than expected

First the good things about the bungalow: 1. Location is phenomenal. Love this part of Maui and snorkeling at kahelili beach was the best. You do have to cross the major highway to get to there but there is a crosswalk. 2. Property management was very responsive, kind, and great to work with. Truly one of the best. 3. The owner sends an online guide that is very nice and helpful for the stay. The cons: 1. Smaller than it looks. Really only comfortably fits 2-4 people. The loft is tiny and just has a couple mats on the ground. 2. Older than it looks. There are some nice updates they have done to the unit but expect a 1960's bungalow including the smell. 3. The unit was picked up with a superficial cleaning. Definitely not deep cleaned. There was a large greasy handprint on the headboard that was gross. My wife wiped off several cabinets that needed it. 4. Hotter than expected. The unit is not climate controlled. We did go in the hot season and I understand that it is a tropical island. They only have two small old wall units that they ask you to only run at night. With all the windows open, it was still 80+ degrees during the day and first part of the night. 5. Cockroaches. We only saw 2 so it is not like it is infested. I understand it is a tropical island but my kids were freaking out and refused to sleep in the loft when they found the second cockroach crawling by their mats. Ended up getting a hotel for the last day of our stay so we could sleep well.
