Perfect trip. Came to see elderly family. My husband’s childhood home is a few houses down so it was a great location. House was clean, host was very informative and a great communicator. Dishwasher was loaded w/dishes when we arrived so we left it as so as we didn’t utilize the dishes/silverware. Our family had 11 rentals downriver this past week and our rental was the easiest for the 80 year olds to visit, they also knew the surrounding neighbors so that was a plus. Highly recommend this Rental. Host was fantastic.

The property was clean and tidy in a quiet neighborhood with a cute market down the street. Any complaints are purely personal preference. The coffee maker did not work properly and the kitchen was ill equipped lacking basics like a vegetable peeler and sharp knives. Plug in air fresheners made the smell overpowering as well as sheets and towels having a strong odor. This is not a good rental for chemically sensitive individuals which are many of us who choose to stay away from hotels. While the upstairs renter was relatively quiet when they were moving it was extremely noisy in my unit. Checkout instructions should be listed somewhere or given well in advance of checkout not the morning of, as I was just finishing packing up the car when I received mine. The host had great communication otherwise. Again nice property overall but unfortunately those items I listed would keep me from using again.

Fishing trip

Over all the house is very nice and in a good location to the marina and fishing the Detroit River. I would recommend this house to friends and family as a great place to stay. The house had everything we needed and if it didn’t we had plenty of places to get what we needed. Overall we all enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to next year.

Came down for the weekend for a wedding at one of the churches downtown. One thing the Dotte doesn’t have are hotels readily available. I’m glad that there isn’t, otherwise I would have never found this gem! The place was great and a couple minute drive to anything you could need. It was a perfect size for the 4 of us. Couldn’t have asked for a better place. Clean, close to downtown, comfy bed, and a great price!
