OUR GROUP: My party consisted of my parents (senior citizens), my older sister's family (who has a teen daughter), my little sister's family (with a pre-teen daughter), and my family (which includes 2 little boys under 10 years old). We traveled to Guadalajara for spring break vacation and to visit some family.
HOUSE: Upon our arrival, Angel, the housekeeper, greeted us and gave us a lot of helpful information including the area the house is in and then left, but not before making us feeling comfortable. The house has rooms upstairs and downstairs so my parent's did not have to climb stairs. The rooms are big and the fact that every room has a bathroom was very helpful with getting everyone out of the house every morning. The house is very well kept and the owners do a good job of providing linens, towels, and additional toiletries you would find in a hotel. The kitchen has all of your needs including dishes, spices, pots, pans, cleaning products, etc. The pool is very clean and conveniently located near the kitchen so you can watch the little ones swimming. The outdoor shower was very helpful as it prevented getting the house floor wet. I can't say enough of how nice this place is. Also, the housekeeper did a great job in prepping the house for us as he only had a few hours between us arriving and another group leaving.
LOCATION:The location of the house was safe for us. If you walk over to the little park/garden during the day and just look around, you will see that most of your needs are nearby. The house is conveniently located near some restaurants, little convenient store, ice cream/smoothie shop and a mercado where you can buy fruit, veggies, and good authentic food. I did not come across any English speakers, but my husband and my brother in law had no trouble going to the store or the marcado. The best part is that when it gets dark, you can walk over to that park (around the corner) and get tacos, tortas, churros, and other mexican street food. I believe they were clean while cooking and preparing the food as no one got sick from eating there. Also, my little boys are extremely picky so the Domino's pizza that delivers to the house was great! TRANSPORTATION: We did not use Uber but we did hear a lot of people talking about using it so, it does sound like they are safe. Due to our group size we ended up hiring a shuttle bus from the airport and back and then hired a tour bus to do tours so we walked around a lot. WE LOVED IT!
